OK I just turned the "night light" OFF on the computer because I think I needed a little more brightness to compensate for filtering out the blue light.
So that's better. We'll see what happens but that was my immediate reaction. I could definitely feel a difference - it's a strong effect.
Everything looks yellow-orange kind of.
Also my circadian rhythm is now supposed to be in full effect - without the intense blue light keeping me awake beyond what is healthy.
I know as far as the qigong energy - that when 11 pm kicks in then I wake back up - whereas if I am sleeping then I tend to just sleep in full lotus at the computer. I will doze off in full lotus and then the kundalini energy wakes me up.
So this will be interesting to see how the circadian rhythm is effected.
Normally I stay up late but 90% of the time - more like 95% of the time - I do the standing "moving of yin and yang" energy which converts the serotonin in the blood back into the cerebrospinal fluid and then turns into melatonin for sleep.
So I clear out the colon and fall asleep real easy after that. It seems to completely reset my circadian rhythm for good deep sleep.
But the glasses have an immediate effect on stopping the burning sensation on the cornea - which I do attribute to the blue frequency being too intense for this time of day.
So as it is the shortest day of the year - this is the ideal testing day for the new Ra Optics night glasses.
OK I've been wearing the glasses now for a few hours. My only complaint so far is there is a Toxic Chemical Off Gas from the glasses!!

So my eyes do feel BETTER. I don't feel that burning laser energy going into the eyes. But suddenly I had to start wondering - what is that TOXIC smell? I push the PVC chair way to the other side of the room. So I know it's not the PVC chair.
No - this was a NEW toxic smell. So I realized - up - it's the NEW glasses!! haha.
Makes sense right? I wonder how they make them?
So obviously the glue has to dry off - "cure" - as it were. I think the smell will dissipate as the glue cures. I don't think it's a built in toxic smell like PVC.

The study found blue light triggers "toxic" reactions in retinal molecules that sense light and signal the brain.

If you shine blue light on retinal, the retinal kills photoreceptor cells as the signaling molecule on the membrane dissolves,” Kasun Ratnayake, a PhD student researcher working in Karunarathne’s cellular photo chemistry group, said. “Photoreceptor cells do not regenerate in the eye. When they’re dead, they’re dead for good.”
Karunarathne introduced retinal molecules to other cell types in the body, such as cancer cells, heart cells and neurons. When exposed to blue light, these cell types died as a result of the combination with retinal. Blue light alone or retinal without blue light had no effect on cells.
“No activity is sparked with green, yellow or red light,” Karunarathne said. “The retinal-generated toxicity by blue light is universal. It can kill any cell type.”
The researcher found that a molecule called alpha tocopherol, a vitamin E derivative and a natural antioxidant in the eye and body, stops the cells from dying. However, as a person ages or the immune system is suppressed, people lose the ability to fight against the attack by retinal and blue light.
Retinal is a polyene chromophore, bound to proteins called opsins, and is the chemical basis of animal vision. Retinal allows certain microorganisms to convert light into metabolic energy. There are many forms of vitamin A — all of which are converted to retinal, which cannot be made without them.
To protect your eyes from blue light, Karunarathne advises to wear sunglasses that can filter both UV and blue light outside and avoid looking at cell phones or tablets in the dark.
