Slavoj Zizek exposed as indirectly funded by the CIA as "compatible Left" Western Marxism: Prof. Gabriel Rockhill

I had a personal correspondence in 1996 that proved to me Zizek was fake - his 1997 book was a direct response to my critique of Zizek in 1996 that I had sent to Zizek. So I really appreciate this expose of Zizek being funded by a CIA magazine journal of "compatible left"

In his exposé of covert funding of critical theory, Gabriel Rockhill asks what the American century sought to hold up, beat down and split apart when it came to culture. Who Paid the Pipers of Western Marxism? is an illuminating, indispensable chapter expanding work on the CIA penetration—in its decades-long war on the left—of literature, student life, the symphony orchestra, feminism, black movements, and the world of modern art. ~Joel Whitney, author of “Finks: How the CIA Tricked the World's Best Writers”

Domenico Losurdo (1941–2018) was a prominent Italian Marxist-Leninist philosopher, historian, and communist politician known for his critiques of liberal ideology and Western Marxism. A professor at Urbino University, he defended the historical achievements of socialist states and focused on anti-colonialism, class struggle, and anti-imperialism.

“Aijaz is one of India’s leading intellectuals and a world-recognized theorist of contemporary culture and politics,” said Georges Van Den Abbeele, dean of the School of Humanities. “We are thrilled to have such a respected public intellectual join our school.”

Ahmad is the author of several books on Marxist theory, literature and politics, including the seminal work, In Theory: Classes, Nations, Literatures (Verso, 1992), which the Financial Times said is a “sustained and searching polemic,” noting Ahmad’s voice as “one of the most important in the current critical debate.” Additionally, he has written extensively on South Asian politics and culture with his book Lineages of the Present: Ideology and Politics in South Asia (Verso, 2000) offering nuanced insight into the politics and history of contemporary South Asia.

OK I ordered his new book published December 2025
