 While trying to develop a mathematical theory of light which would fully encompass its wavelike and particle-like aspects, Einstein developed the concept of "ghost fields". A guiding wave obeying Maxwell's classical laws would propagate following the normal laws of optics, but would not transmit any energy. This guiding wave, however, would govern the appearance of quanta of energy on a statistical basis, so that the appearance of these quanta would be proportional to the intensity of the interference radiation. These ideas became widely known in the physics community, and through Born's work in 1926, later became a key concept in the modern quantum theory of radiation and matter.[33]: 193–203  [note 13]

The reason it's energy and not power is because in quantum mechanics it's the amplitude that has to be squared to get the power - not the frequency. So this is called Born's Rule. The photoelectric effect that got Einstein the Nobel Prize later made Einstein reject this statistical use in quantum mechanics of the squaring of the nonlocal added up amplitude waves. So those waves are complex waves but in fact the negative frequency and reverse time is canceled out by the squaring process. The truth is that Schroedringer's wave function equation just like Planck's equation has made the error of canceling out this noncommutative reverse time and negative frequency energy! This is a new "causal force" as Basil J. Hiley explains - it's a newly discovered nonlocal force from the future. Take note - technically it's not "energy" since it's before the amplitude squared as the foundation of energy. It is rather a FORCE and not energy. hahaha.
The wavelength is actually noncommutative - so as de Broglie stated frequency is to time as momentum is to wavelength. So as per de Broglie's Law of Phase Harmony there is a negative frequency and reverse time for each "wave front." If you study Professor Basil J. Hiley he explains that this is due to noncommutativity. So the "weak measurement" experiements of the Yakir Aharonov research group have proven this empirically. The Heisenberg matrices have to be used since the inner cross products are noncommutative as discrete spectral frequencies - as Alain Connes explains. So yes it's not wavelength but rather between each two points in space there is an arithmetic distance (not geometric length). This arithmetic distance is the Dirac propagator or 1/2 spin fermion propagator as the inverse of the Dirac Operator - as Alain Connes explains. So it is a "triple spectral" measurement. This is easily explained in music theory as Connes calls it (two, three, infinity) from music theory - I have the details on the music theory explanation of noncommutativity in my free research linked on my channel. Thanks Another way to think of this is that the imaginary number is a "fundamental time" as Penrose calls it or "primitive time" as Connes calls it or "primordial time" as Louis Kauffman calls it. This means the time is eternal motion to the frequency as noncommutativity is not linear time but the future and past overlapping. So this time is the 5th dimension that creates the universe and it is nonlocal - and so at each "zero point" in space there already is this noncommutativity that then creates the Fourier Uncertainty at the Planckian scale.
 
So we need to do power per cycle not energy per second. I think this makes quantum physics go away.
actually the "cycle" is nonocmmutative - study Louis de Broglie's Law of Phase Harmony. There is a negative frequency and reverse time. You can read Olivier Costa de Beauregard's "Time: A physical magnitude" for details -he was the protege of Louis de Broglie.

 @Lukie Poole  you can create energy through meditation - I went 8 days on half a glass of water the whole time - just one half of glass of water - then I went into work and I had more energy than ever. I gave a talk to my coworkers about the secret of meditation. This is called "bigu" - the scientists think it has to do with gamma radiation creating new matter in the body. It was studied by Rustum Roy organizing a conference on bigu. It is advanced meditation called "nirvikalpa samadhi" - there's certain secrets to this that I reveal in my first upload. thanks

 @Lukie Poole  yes as in my teacher spent 28 days in nonstop full lotus meditation with no sleep and next to no food and next to no water - in a cave at Mt. Qingcheng in China where he is from. Chunyi Lin of Spring Forest Qigong. His "external qi" healing was studied in a randomized controlled medical study published in a peer reviewed journal - a study done by Mayo Clinic Dr. Anne Vincent who called the results "very impressive." So people were healed of chronic pain. Just study quantum biology as "negentropy" or negative entropy. A good book to start is, "Life on the Edge" that was the 2016 Royal Society of London book of the year award. It's by Professor JOhnJoe McFadden and another professor. It's just a matter of how much you meditation to activate the free energy - we all can do it. Chunyi Lin's book is called 'Born a Healer." We ALL have free energy if we do the training but our culture thinks that navel gazing with your eyes closed is the worst waste of time because we define time as a materialist measurement of symmetric space. hahaha.

Light is only wave-like when it is propagating and particle-like when it is CRASHING into a detector. Light is not simultaneously wave and particle. Any other theory that is based on simultaneous wave-particle duality is of no use to us on Planet Buddhabrot.
 @Fractal Woman  Try reading the article "Light is Heavy" by Nobel physicist Gerard 't Hooft and Martin van der Mark. Also Martin van der Mark did a follow up lecture on de Broglie's Law of Phase Harmony. The "not simultaneously" is true since quantum physics relies on discrete measurements. Penrose emphasizes that protoconsciousness is what unifies relativity and quantum physics. As Alain Connes states our brains do an inverse Fourier transform on spacetime itself. So in other words the scientist who predicted the accelerating expansion of the Universe - but didn't receive the Nobel Prize - he also emphasizes the true mass of light is due to noncommutativity. He's in India where he's from. So since the mass of light is from momentum that is directly proportional to frequency then there is a secret 1/2 spin to light from the future. This is the point of that "light is heavy" article. All matter is actually made of light yet light does have mass since light has supermomentum or superluminal negative frequency, reverse time negentropy energy. Mainstream science considers virtual photons to be just a mathematical fiction due to renormalization - as that Matt Dowd emphasizes on the PBS Spacetime channel. This is hilarious considering experiments have already demonstrated the absorption of virtual photons to create more photons. So Matt Dowd is well proven in correct but since mainstream physics is stuck on the symmetric relativistic mathematics then it can not accept the truth of noncommutativity. As Basil J. Hiley points out there is no rest frame of a symmetric measurement and at each zero point in time there already is noncommutativity of the future and past overlapping as nonlocality. This is Martin van der Mark's big point also - that Louis de Broglie proved there is no symmetric rest frame, contrary to the claims of relativity. So the key point is that spin is neither a wave nor a particle yet spin is nonlocal as eternal time-frequency energy due to the 1/2 spin being noncommutativity.

The photoelectric effect (that got Einstein the Novel prize) can be much more easily explained using simple logic. The energy (delivered per unit time) required to knock an electron from a metal must be greater than (or equal to) the binding energy of the electron to the metal (aka. the energy per unit time required to bind the electron to the metal). I did the math myself. It works. Any other explanation that is more complicated than this is of no use to the people on Planet Buddhabrot.
 @Fractal Woman  That's strange since Dr. Juliana Mortenson emphasizes the Resonance Equation of Planck - meaning that the photoelectric effect is based on frequency resonance. Quantum frequency resonance is the key to understanding abrupt global warming also - hence the mass DeNile. Mainstream science assumes science is defined by a symmetric squared measurement as mass when in fact the frequency energy is noncommutative. So the resonance of quantum frequency is actually controlled by noncommutative phase - this is proven in quantum biology for example. If you study the quantum biology of smell proving that is truly a nonlocal perception (as are all the other perceptions) - the experiments prove that the same quantum frequency has a different smell when the phase is noncommutative.

 @Fractal Woman  phase already assumes a symmetric rest frame of measurement. If you study Olivier Costa de Beauregard's papers and his book, "Time: A physical magnitude" he explains that precognitive is de facto real. I know this is true from my meditation training. In fact precognitive visions are more lucid and more real than being awake!! As Costa de Beauregard explains all our perceptions and all the other paranormal spiritual powers are derivative of precognition.

 @Fractal Woman  If you watch physicist Fred Alan Wolf's video - his TedX video - "What If All Is An Illusion?: Dr Fred Alan Wolf at TEDxReset 2011" - he makes the same point about light. So for example Fred Alan Wolf in one of his books points out that Schroedinger realized that when light is emitted by an electron the light is a subharmonic or undertone of a higher frequency - only Schroedinger could not figure out from where. The problem here is that when Schroedinger devised his wave equation he got it from de Broglie but Louis de Broglie was critiquing relativity. The basic insight of de Broglie was that as a particle goes towards the speed of light then based on quantum momentum the frequency goes up but based on relativity the time also goes up (since the wavelength gets bigger as time slows down). Based on the principle of Pythagoras that frequency is inverse to time then logically, Louis de Broglie deduced, there HAS to be a negative frequency and reverse time from the future that is secretly guiding the particle. This is Louis de Broglie's Law of Phase Harmony. It is NOT taught in physics schools yet Louis de Broglie stated it was his greatest discovery!! hahaha. Pretty hilarious.
