How Vevor scams people: Over 20 documented cases

 I purchased Order # ***********. (100ft X 1/2" Drain Cleaner 550w Drain Cleaning Machine Snake Sewer Clog W/cutter) from this site for $457.99 Item is defective plus this site has a 30 Day Return policy on All products (defective or not). I have tried calling them several times (###-###-####). No one ever answers. I have emailed them (*******@*****.com) with pictures of the item and the defect. They respond with- same email message every time. They are refusing to refund my money. I will gladly pay for the shipping to send this item back. ***** appears to be a "Scam Site" and they are Not honoring their company's 30 day Return policy.

So Vevor advertises that they ship within 24 hours.

They create the shipping label and then they process your charge and post the charge to be paid. But the label never gets picked up!!

So the product - a "chimney sweep" had "great" reviews - but of course they were fake reviews on their website. I think I even checked the name of one of the reviews to make sure it was a REAL name and it was a real person. So I figured the review was real and so I took the dive. But who knows? Maybe the review was still fake.

So then I call the company after 3 days and I'm told there are over 20 of the items in stock. So I ask why has it not shipped yet - is that normal? No it's not normal but to wait 24 hours - I'm told - to see if it ships.

On 12/11/2021 I ordered a pool cover for $445.99 from Vevor -*********** I received an email on 12/14/2021 the order was being shipped and provided tracking number-UPS tracking number: ****************** in the email I checked the status on 12/20/2021 and it had not been shipped. I called Vevor and received a response from Vevor to wait 24 hrs. The response was they were unable to locate any tracking information. After I checked the tracking number, the item had not been shipped I sent a reply that if the item had not shipped for a refund I attempted to reach the company using all of the contact numbers including email and was unable to reach anyone, the mailbox was full and could not leave a message and no response from email about this order. I would like a refund for the full amount since this item is not available.

So as you can see there is a proven pattern. The SAME thing happened to me as to two other people. The charge is processed and posted but the label is just "created" and nothing is picked up. 

So then I canceled the order this morning and I got an email stating the order would be canceled and a refund issued. But the protocol is then for a Refund Transaction Receipt to be emailed, proving that the refund was indeed "issued" by the company. Instead of getting such a receipt I got another email telling me to wait patiently for the order as it was "on its way" with the label still only created but not picked up!!

So then I emailed stating I was disputing the charge unless I got a receipt stating the refund had been completed. I sent that email 8 hours ago and never got any response.

So then I disputed the charge to have the posted charge reversed and an "investigation."

Order cancelled

I purchased an item on sale and received an email saying they could not fulfill my order at a local warehouse close to me then I looked on the website and the item was back at full price to buy. No one is answering calls to speak to me

Fourth person - same scam! They are claiming items are "in stock" and "ship within 24 hours" and then they process the charge without shipping the item....

Ordered from Vevor.com. Order number *********** tried to cancel order and get refund. Order is delayed until 2022. Told me they needed access to my computer to refund money.

 What? Crazy. So that's the Fifth person the scam was played out on.

Luckily I caught it before I paid for it.

On November 7, 2021, I purchased a ring engraver from www.Vevor.com I paid through PayPal, but never received email confirmation of my order. I have emailed their customer service 3 times. The first time they responded that they could not locate my order. I gave them my name, address and email and I have not heard back. I also tried to contact them via Facebook with no response. This is a nearly $200 item and I am concerned that this website is a scam. In this email, I am including screenshots of my proof of payment. I would like a status and to know when my item will be shipped. If it will not be shipped, I would like a refund.

 Sixth person! - Yes they got victimized to be sure.

Regarding my Vevor order #****** - The referenced order (1 - aluminum dock ladder) dated June 18, 2021, in the amount of $197.99 was returned to Vevor via FedEx tracking #************ dated July 28, 2021. I had previously explained to Anna (Vevor Support Team) that their dock ladder was not compatible with my existing dock and I would like to return it for a refund. A return shipping label was promptly provided to me by Sam (Vevor Support Team) via email attachment on July 22, 2021. Sam explained to me that upon receipt of the FedEx shipment to Vevor, a refund in the amount of $173.99 (less freight) would be issued to me. I have not received my refund yet, as of today. Would you please follow up on this and reply to me with a phone call or email? Thank you very much. Sincerely, ******* *******

What a joke

What a joke. Ordered a snow cone maker, contacted them over a week later to find out when it will be shipped and received an email saying they had sold out. Never contacted me until I asked now they wont return my emails in regards to my money back. So off to PayPal I go. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Wrong item received and won't refund my money!

After posting this review and escalating the issue to PayPal, they offered to refund my money if I updated my review. This is me updating my review from the original shown below.

They sent me the wrong item and expected me to pay the return shipping. They do not answer their phone and email response takes 2-3 days. I have not received a response in 3 days and counting after I told them I expected the full amount since they screwed up. And they require you to return the item prior to refunding you, so now I'm out the item and the money.

After placing an order via PayPal at *****.com, I received an email from *******@*****.com that they "need to transfer the items from another warehouse, which requires an additional delivery fee of 15USD", along with an email address with which to submit payment via PayPal. I replied to the email with a request to please cancel the order, and received an auto-reply daemon from Comcast of a "permanent error", telling me the *******@*****.com address is fake. From what I can determine, that's the only way to contact Vevor. I've attached screenshots of the emails. Other relevant attachments mentioned in the correspondence (e.g., .eml files) were rejected by your file upload system, but can be submitted via email if you need more documentation. Please pursue this dispute further. I have filed a claim with PayPal that's currently in appeals. Thanks in advance. -j

On July 10, 2021, I placed an order with *****.com for residential door handles. I received what I can assume were commercial handles because they did not work. I contacted them for months trying to return. I mailed the unusable handles back to the company, at my cost. On Oct 4, 2021, I received an email stating that a refund had been issued. I never received the refund and was told that the refund had failed and they asked for my PayPal address to send the refund that way. I am not comfortable giving my PayPal address to them when they can refund the money through my credit card that made the charges initially.

I was supplied with a fake FedEx shipping number -- no scan updates were ever displayed -- and never received the ordered product. Seller (VEVOR) claimed that they had sent it to the wrong address, hence the reason the shipping number did not work -- which makes absolutely no sense. The address I had provided was correct as well.

I ordered an item back in June they have yet to deliver it and trucking company says they are there daily to pick it up but they have yet to product the item for shipment and I have s verbal emails including tracking numbers yet the item still has not left their warehouse. I the mean time they took my money back in June. Customer service will not handle the problem at all and have yet to have anyone at vevor customer service answer the phone. I just want what I ordered but they have been dishonest with me and taken my money.

I ordered this boat hauler on August 24th, 2021. Order # *********** I Paid 124.99. They stated the boat hauler would be delivered in 2 to 5 days. On August 26th they sent me a FedEx tracking number ************ On August 28th I sent an email explaining that although a FedEx label has been created FedEx has not received the package. And ask them to investigate. They have been back and forth with me telling me to be patient after I asked for a refund or re-ship. It has been 10 days now and FedEx still has not received the package. I told them to just cancel the order and refund me (3 times now) and they keep telling me to be patient. I believe they are just leading me on until it is too late or they send me something unrelated to my purchase, I want a refund.

ORDER: *********** DATE: 08/11/2021 AMOUNT: $164.98 After I placed an order, there was no delivery so I called every day for replacement. The customer service told me to ask my neighborhood so I did as per their request. No one received my order so I called them again and they kept on telling me to check again and again. Days after a customer service told me that I will have replacement and wait 2 business days for tracking number so when I called them back for the tracking number, they said samething to check with my neighbors. and now they are telling me that it is out of stock. I called workers but due to missing delivery, I had to cancel but still paid to the workers at half day. $100*3 =$300 Therefore I loss is $464.98 I would like to know if BBB can help me on this matter.

On 7/7/21, over a month ago. I purchased an ice machine from Vevor. Order number ***********. $529.99 was deducted out of my account the following day. During the purchase process, it said it would be delivered within 5 business days. I was provided a tracking number for FedEx that stated my order would be delivered on the 12th, now when I try to use it, it just says it's "pending". I have tried to contact this company several times via phone and email. I cannot get anyone to return my calls or emails. I have spoken to a person one time and she told me she would contact the shipper and put a rush on it. and that they would be contacting me via email. That was over two weeks ago. I have tried calling every number I can find on the internet to get in contact with this company, but all I ever get is voicemails. Even when I call the "Return/Refund" number, I don't get any answer.

Placed an order with Vevor on 6/19/2021. Order # ******. The company continues to 5ell me that they must speak to their American Colleagues but never give me a staight answer as to my order status.. Their website shows my order as shipped with a bogus tracking number (#*********80). When I called their customer service number (###-###-####) I was told to call their carrier **** to arrange delivery. **** tells me that they have no record of any such shipment. Please assist

Contacted Vevor on 6/11/21 to verify the item was in stock, they assured me that it was in stock. I placed the order minutes after talking with Vevor on the phone. I received an email with the order summary. I had not heard anything on shipping and delivery by email as of 6/15/21. Contacted Vevor again by telephone and was told the item was not in stock and will be coming from china instead. I want to cancel my order as I feel I was sold something that they never had to start with. Nothing was mentioned about coming from china until today. My order number is VEVOR114582. States on the order standard shipping (2-5) days. The item is a Welding turning roll positioner for $848.99. Look up the website and you will see they say instock.

The rest of the reviews are people receiving defective products - that are broken, nasty and/or wrong, etc. It's incredible!!

HOW IS THIS COMPANY ALLOWED TO OPERATE IN THE USA ? I SUBMITTED AN ORDER TO THIS COMPANY AND HAVE SINCE RECEIVED NO REPLY TO PHONE CALLS NOR EMAILS . I AM TRYING TO CANCEL THIS ORDER AS THEY HAVE NOT IN COMMUNICATION AT ALL. THE WEBSITE SAYS THE ORDER WOULD BE SHIPPED IN 2 TO 5 DAYS . AT THIS POINT AFTER TRYING MANY TIMES TO TRACK MY ORDER , OR EVEN GET ANY KIND OF INFORMATION ABOUT , I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH THIS COMPANY. THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN FOR SCAM OPERATION .

How a charge is disputed:

They [the credit card company] would check if the funds have been claimed by the merchant who has processed the debit in your account. If no they will reverse it within 7–10 days and if yes you need to dispute the charge which will be closed within 30–60’days depending on your banker ability to fight the charges with the merchant bank.

 I would try the merchant first and see if they can do a refund. If they can't or won't, contact your bank and file a claim.

 You call your card provider and dispute the transaction. Then, they will kick it back to the vendor as a chargeback. The vendor may or may not dispute it. Under the new rules, you have 90 days from the transaction date to resolve this with THE MERCHANT. The credit card company with charge YOU back again the amount if they claim the debt is valid, etc.

So it appears the charge reversal triggered the UPS pickup finally? Now it's at the NEW UPS processing facility - so looks promising!

 So there was a "six hour" gap when UPS updated it. Meaning that the UPS pickup was precisely when I sent the email stating I need confirmation that the order was canceled.

 That's also when I emailed stating that I was contacting to have the charge disputed....

So then Vevor, the HK distributor of China crap, advertises "shipped in 24 hours" - and their price is almost half of the other DIY Big Box stores. So I order the super flexible 12 mm nylon chimney rod drill- attached cleaning Sooteater. They process the charge and post it and then create the label but do NOT ship it!! 

So three days later I email and call them up. I'm told to wait 24 hours and there's 20 plus of them in stock at the warehouse in Los Angeles. Still not picked up yet so I try to call and can't get through - and I email to get the order canceled. I'm emailed back I'll get a refund but I'm not sent any "refund transaction receipt" PROVING they refunded it. 

So I call up VISA to dispute the charge and literally as soon as I get a response from VISA that the charge is disputed then UPS "picks up" the order to their new 40,000 a day processing center in Ontario California.... and UPS "updates" their database SIX hours later. 

Right after UPS updates their database (retroactively proving the order was picked up right when VISA demanded a chargeback) I get an email back from Vevor as an apology. So obviously they tried to cover their tracks on that one. Hilarious. 

So then Vevor offers me that if I accept the order without returning it then they'll give me a $5 refund. So I email that I accept the offer and we'll see what kind of scam they try to pull now. hahaha.
