UPdated response to my debunking of PBS Spacetime vid on virtual photons not existing

 UPDATED response

Professor Jean Bricmont debunks quantum field theory: "All our intuitive notion of causality collapses, because this notion is based on the idea that causes precede effects in an absolute sense that does not depend on the reference frame. ...What about QFT or relativistic quantum mechanics ? In standard textbooks, the reduction or collapse of the quantum state is never discussed in relativistic terms−→the question raised by EPR and Bell is not even raised."
"Scientists at Chalmers University of Technology have succeeded in creating light from vacuum – observing an effect first predicted over 40 years ago.Since their existence is so fleeting, they are usually referred to as virtual particles. Chalmers scientist, Christopher Wilson and his co-workers have succeeded in getting photons to leave their virtual state and become real photons, i.e. measurable light. ...“Relatively little energy is therefore required in order to excite them out of their virtual state. In principle, one could also create other particles from vacuum, such as electrons or protons, but that would require a lot more energy.” oops - this vid was debunked in 2011. I guess he just isn't up to date on the proof that virtual particles actually exist!
"Around 2007, we realized that the work could allow us to measure the virtual photons inside a vacuum. These virtual photons are generated and annihilated in pairs. About 40 years ago, it was suggested that a mirror moving near the speed of light could capture some of these photons. The effect had never been observed, because it is very hard to move a massive object that fast. We made an electronic 'mirror' that we could effectively move at one-quarter of the speed of light using magnetic fields. This allowed us to separate the pairs, stopping them from annihilating and turning them into real photons that we could observe (C. M. Wilson et al. Nature 479, 376–379; 2011)." Christopher Wilson, a physicist at Chalmers University of Technology oops - this PBS "science" vid just got debunked.
The Heisenberg uncertainty principle is the one who knocks.
@Voidisyinyang Voidisyinyang  You seem to have misunderstood the whole point of the video. He directly acknowledged that black holes can spontaneously stimulate particles to emerge from the vacuum, like what you're describing. His point is that the way we calculate quantum interactions based on imagining a superposition of all imaginable virtual particle states is a mathematical model that exists in our minds that helps us explain these phenomena like the one you described, but the layers of complexity in this model is not implicated by the actual observation itself. There are other equally good models that explain the same phenomena. It's not reality itself, it's just a tool to help a human brain to be able to predict actual states of matter with reasonable but imperfect precision.
@Number1  Thank you for clearly explaining yourself so that I realize I already clearly understood your claim. I took quantum mechanics from Professor Herbert J. Bernstein who designed a new quantum teleportation satellite system that's being tested by NASA. Bernstein is also named as part of the Susskind-Aharonov-Bohm Effect. (Bernstein 1967, Aharonov and Susskind 1967, Hegerfeldt and Kraus 1968, ... Aharanov—Bohm effect Greenberger et al (1981)
Bernstein did the quantum entanglement spin experiments with neutrons since the spin can then be visualized.

So you may want to look up professor Jean Bricmont who has several youtube lectures on the de Broglie-Bohm model of reality that originated from the de Broglie Law of Phase Harmony, what de Broglie considered to be his greatest discovery. Schroedinger had dropped relativity to develop his wave equation and so as Yakir Aharonov points out - it really requires Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle to properly understand quantum mechanics by also including relativity. Here I'll just quote Yakir Aharonov directly for you:
Yakir Aharonov:
"There is a non-local exchange that depends on the modular variable....I'm saying that I have now an intuitive picture to understand interference by saying that when a particle moves through two slits, it always goes through one slit or the other, but it knows which other slit, the slit through which it did not go, whether it is open or not, because there are nonlocal equations of motion." Finally making sense of the double-slit experiment (2017, Aharonov): The nonlocal equations of motion in the Heisenberg picture thus allow us to consider a particle going through only one of the slits, but it nevertheless has nonlocal information regarding the other slit.... The Heisenberg picture, however, offers a different explanation for the loss of interference that is not in the language of collapse: if one of the slits is closed by the experimenter, a nonlocal exchange of modular momentum with the particle occurs....Alternatively, in the Heisenberg picture, the particle has both a definite location and a nonlocal modular momentum that can “sense” the presence of the other slit and therefore, create interference."
And so as Jean Bricmont points out - even Stephen Hawking did not properly understand the disproving of Einstein's "spooky action at a distance" critique of quantum mechanics via Bell's Inequality experiments (by Aspect and my own Professor Bernstein, etc.) So as Bell stated:
" John Bell states: "Is it not clear from the diffraction and interference patterns, that the motion of the particle is directed by the wave?"

So the key point here is that the wave as spin is noncommutative phase with negative frequency and reverse time - as de Broglie realized when he was critiquing relativity. As a particle goes towards the speed of light due to relativity then time gets bigger was a wavelength due to time slowing down. Logically since the energy of the particle is quantum with the momentum directly proportional to the frequency and so the time as period gets smaller and this proves there HAS to be a second time from the future going in reverse with negative frequency. This is the Law of Phase Harmony as noncommutative phase.

You can read Olivier Costa de Beauregard for further details -he was a protege of de Broglie. His book, "Time: a physical magnitude" is excellent on this subject. By the way Costa de Beauregard was a member of the Institute of Advanced Study at Princeton and he routinely published on how the paranormal is proven by relativistic quantum physics as a precognitive telekinesis from negentropy.
Sir Roger Penrose currently has a similar model of reality with Stuart Hameroff writing about paranormal protoconsciousness of the Universe from negentropy. So the entropy of gravity is the opposite of the entropy of matter.

Also see Alain Connes, Fields Medal math professor, for his youtube lectures on noncommutative geometry. His music theory talks on the Music of the Quantum Sphere are excellent. Penrose cites Connes as Penrose and also Basil J. Hiley - the collaborator of both Penrose and David Bohm - Hiley and Penrose both now rely on noncommutative geometry as noncommutative quantum algebra.
So essentially it's the "Dirac Dance" as math professor Louis Kauffman explains with "primordial time" as inherent to the quantum protoconsciousness of the Universe that is nonlocal. So because of the quantum measurement paradox or problem then reality has inherent asymmetric time that is noncommutative.

As Kauffman explains - the primordial time is an iteration of 1 and negative 1 with the measurement as one of the iterations. The Delayed Choice Eraser Experiments prove this as well as Yakir Aharonov's "negaparticle" experiments with "weak measurements" of entangled photons.

Also I recommend the quantum biology book, "Life on the Edge" by Professor JohnJoe McFadden and his colleague - I was promoting JohnJoe McFadden back in 2006 and a biology professor tried to claim that quantum biology was "woo woo." haha. Even now most physicists and biologists probably would not be aware of the subject or reject it.

Essentially the noncommutative phase is not limited to the quantum scale and so the nonlocality self-amplifes up as a coherent macroquantum new "causative force" of spin - as Basil J. Hiley calls it. So Eddie Oshins coined the term "quantum psychology" while he worked at Stanford Linear Accelerator Center and he also taught Wing Chun, realizing that the secret of Neigong (internal alchemy as martial arts) was due to noncommutative phase on the macroquantum scale. Oshins collaborated with Louis Kauffman and now Nobel Physicist Brian Josephson is studying the work of Louis Kauffman.

Oh I should mention that the CIA classified the work of Olivier Costa de Beauregard with his discussion of the paranormal - emphasized and underlined - as part of the Operation Grill Flame for remote viewing, etc. So that's why mainstream scientists do no realize that life can also capture virtual photons via negentropy and store that energy internally to demonstrate telekinesis, etc. Because mainstream scientists are trained in commutative symmetric math logic ever since Plato while the noncommutative phase logic was the Orthodox Pythagorean secret of music theory that only got rediscovered by Louis de Broglie and Alain Connes.

thanks
