 https://www.verywellhealth.com/the-benefits-of-dandelion-root-89103

antifungal

antibacterial

antiviral...

technically I was weeding the lawn but hey if I don't get the roots out then they just grow back!!

it does appear to have mild anti-inflammatory and antipruritic (anti-itching) properties. Research also suggests that it may help prevent sun damage.that's what I need right now!! haha

so 1/3rd of an ounce is a daily dose.

So that's 3 days worth!!

Wow I was gonna do it all in one dose but it's VERY bitter - definitely very medicinal and 3 days worth. Powerful stuff.

Dandelions are bitter because of a class of water soluble chemicals called sesquiterpenes. The key to enjoying dandelions is understanding how to work with these chemicals to minimize their impact on your taste buds. Sesquiterpenes are part of the milky juice that runs throughout the dandelion plant.

Wow it's just like TEA TREE OIL - it's the terpenes that make it bitter. Awesome.

an>Tea tree oil, obtained from leaves of the Melaleuca alternifolia, is an essential oil with a fresh camphoraceous odor and a color that ranges from pale yellow .. Eighteen compounds, including twelve sesquiterpenes (such as 1 – 5) and five monoterpenes, were isolated from tea tree oil residue. </

Wow I'm surprised how much I like Dandelion Root - it is essentially very similar to Tea Tree Oil -

Sesquiterpenes lactones are responsible for diuretic effects and may also contribute to dandelion's anti-inflammatory activity.
