The heart is called Yi [unified power] becuz when intent moves, spirit is agitated; qi is dispersed. Qi is the Mother of spirit; Spirit is the child of qi. The Mother as qi is the horse that guides/conducts the river chariot (yin spirit) in the water (yin jing). Once your mind is away from the lower Elixir Field, your Qi will be led away from it and be consumed. By gathering the Shen into the lower tan tien then the Qi follows it there. I wonder when they got their patent

So it's patented now but it was "pending" when these boots were made!

the outsole and insole "fit into each other" - fascinating.
I'll have to look at that again. I was trying to fit the insole back in correctly but didn't notice that secret...
So a "made in USA" shoe is rare these days...
They seem to have a strong following - I can see why - the boots don't fall apart and they're super comfortable for being steel-toed.
I did a brown leather polish treatment and then two coats of silicone spray...
The Carbo-Tec outsole is highly flexible so you can move with ease.
That does make a difference!
Everyone says how comfortable these boots are. It truly feels like your feet are being well-cushioned - like laying on a very nice bed but while standing!
well you can just see the outline of the outsole. It's bigger than I remembered.
But supposedly their newer boots are not as good quality. I don't know.
New for $150 is a lot more than $4.

So I've mentioned that one of my close school friends was James T. Hong - he moved back to Taiwan, where his family is from. He had met and married a fellow artist - also living in the U.S. at the time.
shamanism or in Chinese, "Wu" (巫). For shamans, our ordinary consciousness is not the only consciousness we have, and our visible world is not the only world that exists. Shamans expand or alter their consciousnesses to enter to the spiritual worlds for various purposes -- mostly to heal people.
Sonic Driving visualizes this tripartite reality: the shaman’s upper world (video), middle world (drumbeat sound), and lower world (drawings).

So I get hits from Taiwan on my blog sometimes - James stopped responding to my emails a long time ago. haha. But I think he still may read my blog from time to time. When he did respond before it was always to say he as traveling and busy - so I assume he's using his phone to respond as a text message.
Before he wanted me to use Facebook and he said no one reads blogs - "blogs are dead." But as a shaman - I like transcending death a bit. haha. The Truth is not a popularity contest. Meanwhile his facebook account is shut down.

So as I blogged before - when James returned to visit Taiwan - he brought me back the Buddhist Swastika - reversed - from the temple. I was very intrigued by this gift. When I first met James he said he was vegetarian based on solidarity for Tibet. This was around 1987 - so I also became vegetarian and I stayed vegetarian longer than he did! He later told me he ate meat because Chinese people eat meat. haha.
So I stayed vegetarian up through my intensive qigong training - and I was even mainly vegan for those 13 years. And then I became a scavenger dumpster diver crazy Zen diet - with anaerobic bacteria leaching out of my gums as I did tantra practice. haha. I used up my Yang Qi energy and now I still rely on a meat diet but then I do intensive fasting meditation in the mini-forest....
So I'm very happy to see James' wife - I assume they are still married - doing this shamanic practice. James first introduced me to an altered state via special "brownies" - eating under a bridge - but they did not work - as I guess happens the "First time." But James and I did perform music together very much as an altered state shamanic practice - Jesus and the Mary Chain was our "special" subversive attempt at NOISE to get our Christian school to hold dances (where the vertical leads to the horizontal and thus dancing was not allowed). amazingly - even though one of our friends Chickened Out - and I did my trance chant - and the President/Vice President and Principal all glared at us in the front of the stage - the next year the school held their FIRST school dance! Better to avoid such a noise scenario (my fellow school mates stopped talking to me after that - but it was close to the end of our final year anyway). haha.
Yep that was a REAL - what's that movie? Not FlashDance - oh well. Footloose! yeah. Real Footloose experience.

f you do a very strong DMT-based plant medicine - like formosayahuasca while in full lotus for 4 hours nonstop there is a very loud AUM sound that is spontaneously heard emanating from the heart.
This AUM sound is called by Master Nan, Huai-chin, the "conversion of jing to qi" as the opening of the 2nd chakra.
t is the sound of OHMKARA - the heart accessing the Yuan Qi on the right side from the formless awareness energy of the universe.
So that is why it is said AUM is the sound of the universe.
Taoist Yoga: Alchemy and Immortality calls it the Tiger's Roar - and so the left ear is the Yuan Qi as it is the right side vagus nerve that goes to the right side of the heart from the reproductive organs - the unmyelinated vagus nerve that is the reptilian vagus nerve.
So then the mantra Om Mani Padme Hum - means "Jewel in the lotus" - and that is the secret of the fire in the water of the qi within the jing - as yang qi is yin shen.

James T. Hong: The Thing
The Thing takes his idiosyncratic reading of John Carpenter’s cult 1982 science-fiction horror film as a point of departure, exhuming and assimilating diverse theories of “thingness” from the history of Western philosophy within a series of new sculptures, video and sound works.
The exhibition is accompanied by The Book of the Thing: Remarks on Politics, Art, Morality, and Taiwan, a short publication cum manifesto in which Hong addresses the aforementioned subjects through a series of sardonic, topical, and occasionally self-lacerating aphorisms.
Despite the efforts of countless thinkers, the simple everyday question of “thingness” - or the means by which an external object can manifest itself to consciousness - has remained contested ground for millennia. For Hong, the perpetually inaccessible object haunts the history of Western thought - like a scab which can be picked at, but never entirely healed. This state of affairs finds its logical parallel in our contemporary climate of misinformation, in which our field of perception is so clouded, manipulated, and narrowed by the dubious truth claims of various media that we can react only by doubting everything, or more commonly, retreating into false certitude; unable to distinguish truth from fiction or to address our own complicity in the maintenance of the status quo. Everyday life has thus come to resemble an intractable philosophical problem; but what responsibility does the average person have to try and solve this problem?
The primary means that Hong has chosen to articulate these questions are a series of three sculptures - The Thing and two Other Things - interspersed throughout the 18th floor gallery. Recalling a glass-walled cubicle, a biological specimen container, or a museum display case, these locked vitrines each contain and obscure a mysterious object whose identity remains unknown to all but the artist. Experienced only as enigmatic silhouettes - quietly menacing presences lurking beyond membranes of glass and stainless steel - the “things” effectively function as symbolic vacuums. Containing both everything and nothing - or precisely whatever content the viewer projects into them - they invite the beholder to speculate not so much on their actual identity as objects, but on their own perceptual inavailability and the limits of knowledge. These themes are mirrored in an accompanying video work entitled Video of The Thing (2019) in which Hong obfuscates and processes footage from his own early work, The Spear of Destiny: A Film For Everyone and No One (2003).
Reanimating the occidental fixation on the inaccessible, opaque and fundamentally misrecognized object of consciousness for a contemporary moment suffused by paranoia, misinformation, and cynicism, The Thing attempts to speculate on the difficulty, (perhaps impossibility) of genuine knowledge or moral action under the increasingly bleak conditions of global modernity. As with elsewhere in his oeuvre, Hong’s work can sometimes seem to be a deliberate exercise in viewer frustration. However, by provoking this frustration, he perhaps aims to instantiate, albeit negatively, a grasping or searching beyond received knowledge and a critical reflection on the “truths” which have formed us.
So not mentioned is his first film - short - the Thing which Thinks - I joked that this was his "best" film in my opinion because I haven't seen most of his other works. haha. But also because the philosophy was the best and glad to see James returning to this.

So she is still stuck in the symmetric classical math paradigm and tries to critique relativity and quantum mechanics from the perspective of Steinmetz - who was limited to just complex numbers.

But her above paper is interesting in that she is inspired by Juliana Brooks - whom I've discussed before.
I left a comment for her to check out Patrick Edwin Moran but also Luigi Borzacchini since she is trying to understand the root of incommensurability as a logical concept. (vid) It's from music theory and she is very close to understanding the noncommutative phase music theory secret.

But if someone is brainwashed by training in classical science FIRST then they are Hard-wired to see the world in the Western wrong way - like a Freemason.
So I'm not trying to "convert" people - I'm just saying it's fascinating to see this person struggling with the paradoxes that she has discovered in science.
I never was a scientist - although I was a lab assistant in a genetic engineering lab as a part-time job for about a year - when I was an undergraduate at University of Wisconsin-Madison.
I try to avoid doing any "calculations" - consciousness is not a calculating device. This is called the "measurement problem" in quantum mechanics. In noncommutative phase math is means that the operations of calculation - addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, are in fact the noncommutative phase propagators in real time. So the time is factored into the equation as a fundamental truth of reality. This means there is no "Pure" math external to reality. When you do math you are actually CHANGING the spacetime that you exist within and therefore spacetime "emerges" from the noncommutative OPERATION of the math. So the noncommutative phase math is thus a "vanishing mediator" to the truth of reality itself as an eternal noncommutative or complementary opposites logical inference (that can never be measured externally).
Music and listening to music are right brain dominant - which goes against our left-brain "vocal communication" dominance from going back to even FROGS - 170 million years ago!! haha.
So of course modern humans with left-brain dominance are hard-wired to not understand the truth of reality. The left brain dominance created the religion of symmetric math - i.e. FRACTALS and so Lori Gardi is still stuck in this. I've seen other scientists make the same claim - that fractals "arise" out of the noncommutative incommensurability (and thus fractals are a "natural" consequence). No the fractals only exist once the boundary conditions are considered to be frozen as a symmetric geometry. In fact the boundary conditions are not frozen but themselves are changing with time. So fractals CREATE entropy whereas noncommutative phase builds up negentropy as resonance that can be "captured" internally. We can never see the fifth dimension yet we can LISTEN to it and logically infer it and even "capture" it internally and also project it back out externally - and this process happens naturally on its own (or can be reversed by our turning of the light around using various training techniques of alchemy).

Thanks for your response. I have personally corresponded with math professor Steve Strogatz about fractals and I've quoted his comments about them already. You can look them up if you're interested in learning. He works with supercomputers at Los Alamos. Again I urge you to learn about noncommutative math. I've personally corresponded with quantum physics professor Basil J. Hiley on the subject as well as math professor Louis Kauffman. I took quantum mechanics from Herbert J. Bernstein as my FIRST (and final) physics course. As Bernstein emphasizes, unless you take quantum mechanics FIRST, since it's the foundation of modern science, then you have the wrong foundation of science hard-wired into your brain from learning the wrong symmetric math and classical physics in high school. I tested at 98% for the biology exam for the ACT in high school since I secretly was against the Pythagorean Theorem. Noncommutative math disproves the Pythagorean Theorem. So good luck with that. If you think a Fields Medal math professor is wrong then - well I figured out what he was teaching on my own since I trained in music from a young age. Anyone that thinks that fractals don't exist in nature, don't really understand the nature of fractals and/or have never written a computer program to generate a fractal themselves. Many people think that fractals involve infinite recursion, but this is not the case. Although fractals are theoretically infinite, in practice, aka. when modelled using a computer, there are definite (FINITE) limits. For example, the Mandelbrot Set is an example of fractal geometry. Theoretically, I can zoom in forever on the boundary of M-Set and never hit a limit. But in reality (in the computer) there is a limit. This is the limit to the digits of precision of the computer. On my computer (on all computers), there is a limit. In a similar manner, in nature (let's say a tree for example), fractal geometry has a limit. This limit is based on the "digits of precision" of biology, aka. the cell. Cells are not infinitely small. In a similar manner, pixels on my computer screen are not infinitely small. Regarding complex numbers, complex numbers are merely 2-dimensional numbers. Nothing special. Real numbers are 1-dimensional and complex numbers are 2-dimension. Oh and since I like your paper on Planck's Constant - I'll help you out by explaining what Alain Connes explains - even though you have chosen to self-censor yourself from learning about his noncommutative phase math. Noncommutative phase is discrete yet nonlocal and MORE DENSE than real numbers. So it exists in the 5th dimension.
As for complex numbers - I have corresponded with math professor Louis Kauffman several times about them. For example there is a paper claiming that complex numbers do not necessarily NEED to be noncommutative. Kauffman disproves that since time is fundamental. So the issue here is what Kauffman calls "primordial time" - contrary to classical physics assuming time is an outside parameter that does not exist until it's "measured" by the scientist. haha. Any good musician would know this truth as well. As math professor Borzacchini emphasizes (and yes I've corresponded with him as well) - there is a "cognitive bias" against studying the music origins of math due to the hard-wired brainwashing by Platonic symmetric classical math physics training from a young age.
