How does the new Transmission Fluid Fare? MaxLife transmission fluid replacement plan

It smells less burnt - and that is the main thing.

Kendall VersaTrans LV ATF is licensed as Ford MERCON LV and GM DEXRON VI ATF.
Wow - unlike MaxLife atf...

OK I called back the shop and he says the transmission fluid has "global specs" and can be used on Audi and he uses it on his car that requires Dexron VI - so it must be VersaTrans LV - the bulk purchase does say AUDI!!

I wasn't sure because a different Specs pdf document says Audi, "except" - and has a long list of Audis that should NOT have it - those must be continuous variable transmission.

The photos compared to the previous ones - are definitely less dark.

A lot of it depends on the lighting.

So the first photo I held up by hand - into the light. That above photo is darker since the cloth is laying on a dark plastic trash can.

Along with this photo. I did the same with the previous photos also - of the old transmission fluid - and it was definitely darker.

More of a brown color.

When you have the fluid filled up into a jug you really can't see any difference.

So the old fluid photo shown above is more brown for sure - and hence it had a more burnt odor.

What I just did was pump out some of the new fluid and then replaced it with some of that fancy "MaxLife" fluid for older mileage.  - about 1.5 quarts
It is hard to argue against MaxLife as the most readily available and cost-effective full synthetic Dex VI substitute.
Now I'll drive down to the environmental center run by the county as they take transmission fluid - I'll give them the three jugs - one is "empty."

And then this fancy transmission fluid is like Marvel's Mystery Oil - you have to buy it at Walmart to get it at one half the price! Actually the MMO price is One fourth at Walmart. So normally I don't go to Walmart - I think I've bought things there two or three times in person and a couple times online.

I bought that MaxLife at the autoparts store - and their prices are just way higher. It's kind of tragic - but you want to keep the autoparts store open for other stuff - we gotta ride this Eco-Apocalypse as it accelerates. I'm on the five year plan - I figure in five years it's gonna be too hot to grow food at scale on Earth.
