Dr. Selen Atasoy: Natural Resonance Harmonics of the Brain is now a proven empirical fact

So what Dr. Selen Atasoy discovered is that psychedelics increases the high frequency harmonics in the brain as does meditation but psychedelics also inhibits the low frequencies while meditation does NOT inhibit the low frequencies. This makes sense because meditation is based on a true infinite resonance of energy while psychedelics are an external "tool" that is done to the mind/body.

In this episode, I discussed Connectome Harmonics and neural correlates of consciousness, specifically under the influence of LSD, mindfulness meditation and dream sleep with Dr. Selen Atasoy. Dr. Atasoy’s research explores brain dynamics in different states consciousness, including sleep, meditation, and psychedelic states, as well as in psychiatric disorders, by analysing fMRI and MEG data within the mathematical framework of harmonic waves. She has extensive experience working in experimental and computational neuroscience exploring neural correlates of consciousness. Currently, she is working as a postdoctoral researcher at Hedonia Transnational Research Group, University of Oxford.
Quote on meditation!
So silencing the mind in that sense would be referring to the meditative state. But I don't know if it's a fully correct way in describing the meditative state. The data that we looked at was Mindfulness Meditation so the subjects were observing their own thoughts and coming back to the breath. But it was still really remarkable to see that during Mindfulness Meditation, for naive subjects, as well as for experienced meditators, we observed that the red part of these connective harmonics actually broadened in a way. And certain harmonics most of which were high frequency, they were more powerfully expressed. And this was much much clearer in the case of experienced meditators. So the effect seems to be clearly there. And maybe it was a bit counter-intuitive. In that sense we would of expected meditation to have just quieted the brain activity and not expressed that many connectome harmonics. But that was the exact opposite of that. So it was a very surprising and interesting finding that certain harmonics increase their power when we meditate.
