Leonard Shlain: Is Truth truly stranger than Fiction? the Faction genre belies the truth of the ecological crisis

So I guess the topic is if fiction has to be a topic. For example - you ever read Ulysses in an arctic cabin by Kerosene Light? The Aurora Borealis was brighter than the words on the pages. The secret to Joyce is that it is to induce a subconscious trance state so that the conscious mind continues reading, while the subconscious mind plunges beneath the text. Then upon waking from the trance you have read a certain amount subconsciously and yet it doesn't matter, since the text itself is too self-contradictory. Samuel Beckett's novel WATT is a better example while Flann O'Brien's novel, "The Third Policeman" is a bit more explicit. I'm talking about Omnium.

So for example literacy is a type of mind control dependent on circular tautologies - and this is why anti-semitism is at the foundation of literacy - a secret self-contained logic that tries to argue time does not exist. So as literacy spread in "The West" - so too did anti-semitism, via Platonic eugenics philosophy (that is empowered by the symmetric logic lies of Western logarithmic math). These lies originate from the wrong music theory. Chomsky realized this secret from his parents initiating him into Martin Buber. So then Chomsky came up with the Zeugma model of syntax as linguistic meaning.

But Chomsky did not realize that the Zeugma model is also from music theory - aka Musilanguage. Or left-brain language is actually from our right brain musical mind. So to buy a Novel is kind of like to Kill a Mockingbird. As CIA social scientist Gregory Bateson realized, in his book, "Mind and Nature: A Necessary Unity" - reality is based on the syllogism of metaphor.

For example Michael Crichton was famous for his Faction genre - like Congo, the novel of killer gorillas - it seems very realistic - or of course everyone knows Jurassic Park. But Crichton believed his "novels" were teaching people real science and yet what was his real science belief about global warming?

Yes maybe Crichton is correct. It appears that people who think they are perceiving reality as truth are actually projecting a one-dimensional "fiction" of their subconscious psychological mind onto that reality. The fiction is not what is on the page but actually what we think is the truth with our eyes open. Nonwestern cultures say that Westerners have "ghost pollution." Dr. Leonard Shlain wrote a good book on this - "The Alphabet and the Goddess" (lecture vid) - how literacy arose with patriarchy that destroyed ecology.
Roll the great white male novel drum roll......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cue the epic Rococo writings of Derrick Jensen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
haha.

Ever read Rigoberta Menchu's Memoir? She watched someone get their skin torn off them while still alive - funded by US CIA "freedom" money. Truth is stranger than fiction. Or try reading: Year 501: The Conquest Continues - a great Chomsky book. Or his "World Orders: Old and New - or his book "Political Economy of Human Rights" - or his book "At War with Asia." It does take a couple years to digest his work though.

yeah maybe you don't get what the topic is yet. It's like when my mom wanted me to read Thoreau. I said - what's the point? Privileged white man goes off into his little private paradise? Oh but putting it in fiction is so much more worth it.

North to the Night: A Spiritual Odyssey in the Arctic: Alvah Simon ...  In June 1994 Alvah Simon and his wife, Diana, set off in their 36-foot sailboat to explore the ... 438 Days: An Extraordinary True Story of Survival at Sea ... Though set in the dark, long Arctic winter, North to the Night is filled with illumination."

Actually that's a pretty good topic - Oh I mean "book." - Oh wait it's NOT a Novel. I got off-topic again. Sorry I'll try to stick to fiction.

Oh wait - who else wrote some fictionalized accounts of their oh too serious lives? The most Censored woman in history? Sibel Edmonds!
Do you think math professor Ian Stewart is normal? He writes fiction also! But there's a hitch! See the foundation of science is quantum physics. I'm sure you will agree. But is it random? "The one exception may be quantum systems, which most physicists believe are truly random. But Stewart questions whether quantum systems are sufficiently well understood to justify certainty about their random character." Oops - so much for your "random" claim. I have corresponded with Ian Stewart several times. I prefer the word "Randy-Om" instead of Random. I consider the word Randy-Om to be more accurate. Western science is very precise but it's not very accurate, as the ecological crisis belies.
