Ice-Free Arctic could first occur in a couple years according to NEW University of Colorado Boulder Study

"The Arctic could see summer days with practically no sea ice as early as the next couple of years, according to a new study out of the University of Colorado Boulder.

The findings, published March 5 in the journal Nature Reviews Earth & Environment, suggest that the first ice-free day in the Arctic could occur over 10 years earlier than previous projections, which focused on when the region would be ice-free for a month or more. The trend remains consistent under all future emission scenarios."
Arctic could become 'ice-free' within a decade

the problem is CO2 being 100 times faster emission rate than normal. Algae is 1% of land biomass but is 50% of Earth's photosynthesis. Oil comes from algae. Algae in the deep oceans can be created by fake whale feces fertilization - volcanic ash - and algae can be grown in near ocean farms - algae can also treat wastewater and algae can be grown for food. Algae can thus sequester 100 gigatons per year of CO2 while algae can feed and fertilize and fuel human civilization. Algae also emits its own aerosol masking effect as Jim Massa has emphasized. Stick with ecology - forget the technofix b.s.
