New Pipe Driving Experiment: Cordless Rotary Demolition Hammer with Post Driving Bit

Most of these Post Driving Bits for a Rotary Hammer are sold for $65 on Bezos' website!!

I found one for $26 - only I need to wait a month for delivery - due to the Chinese New Year!! hahaha. I hope the Chinese have fun!

Super happy with this product. I have a Makita SDS MAX Hammer Drill and I use this tool along with an 18" long 1.5" drill bit for T-posts. Where there is no rock, this tool with an SDS max driver, will put T posts easily into the ground. If you are in a rocky area or if you hit a rock, you will need to drill a 1.5" hole down and then you can hammer in with this cupped driver. Way easier than a manual T post driver and you don't have the cost and ground destruction that you would get with a skid steer that has a driver on it.

OK that's one Bezos' review - only I'm gonna use a Cordless Off-grid Rotary Hammer!  Sure it won't be as much power but it has a lot of RPM - and Force is acceleration as much as mass....

POWER : 13.5 AMP motor delivers 130 - 280 RPM

That's the Makita while the Cordless Bauer is all about RMP and less about amps. hahaha.

the 1/2 inch SDS-Plus has a lot more reviews than the bigger 1 inch bit - ...

Had problems with it from day 1. Chuck keeps coming off. Found out there is suppose to be a lock ring to hold it in place

this has much more jack-hammer-like power than I was expecting.

However, if you don't have to go "full auto" it may not seem too bad.

Oh, quick tip, don't lean into it too hard. There's a sweet spot in how much pressure to put on. Let the tool do the work.

Will be using it to dig post holes for metal fence

it's a little noisy with a high pitch sound coming from either the brushless motor or the cooling fan you will need air plugs.

Works better than standard hammer drills on parking lot surface.

the hammer feature is weak and not quite to Standard for this size tool.

Maximum Rotational Speed 1300 RPM
Voltage 20 Volts
Amperage 3 Amps

Impact rate of 0-4600 BPM to hammer through the toughest materials

Robust power system – produces 0-4,350 no-load bpm and 0-890 load rpm

cause ive seen a few demos where the smaller sds plus drills, drill faster than the sds max - due to the smaller drills having higher rpms..

PROFACTOR Performance 8.0 Ah battery – delivers 100% more runtime and over 75% more power than the CORE18V 4.0 Ah battery

Large inductive loads like electric motors have a very large starting surge.

https://diysolarforum.com/threads/delta-pro-wont-run-my-well-pump.67662/

an Eco Flow Delta Pro (3600w) solar gen to run our small off grid cabin (so we don't have to run the obnoxious 11KW Generac propane gen). The Delta Pro runs everything great w/ the 400w panel except the well pump. The well pump is 110v, 1/2hp but it shuts off the Delta Pro only at start up, surge at start up must be high.

The well is 40' deep and within 25 feet of the house. We have a good sized pressure tank in the cabin. The cabin has a regular electric panel that I hook either the big propane gen into or the Delta Pro via an adaptor. This is my first foray into the solar world and I'm at a loss... Is there any well pump that I can replace my current well pump with that the Delta Pro will run?

You have to use a check valve so you dont back feed the pump with gravity when it turns off or it will blow the brushless controller. It will become a power generator otherwise.
