This is an employee owned company that designed the pump and it is definitely different than the other low power submersible pumps on the market. Since it's less power at first I was skeptical but I wanted less power since my portable generator can't handle 3 amps draw! hahahaha. So this is only 2 amps....but should have the same power as the 1/4 hp 3 amps!! Why? The PSC is different....

I had never heard of a PSC before....There's a 3 year warranty on this pump also - so pretty sure they'll fix if if it has any problems...
I did find another ceramic jug to haul up water but I've used several already - they also break but also it's pretty slow - very slow actually. So if this works - that would be awesome!!
The Minneapolis-designed Superior brand submersible pumps
seem to break too easily and different kind of motor (made in China) -
so I kept digging (pun not intended) and found this 6 1/4 inch wide

Protect the power and control cords from the environment.
Unprotected power and control (switch) cords can allow water
to wick through ends into pump or switch housings, causing
surroundings to become energized.
Do not install the pump on clay, dirt, mud or sand surfaces. Clean
the area to be pumped. Grass, mud, sand or pea gravel can clog
the pump and reduce its performance.
For continuous operation, the pump must be submerged to
prevent the motor from overheating. If this occurs, the pump will
shut itself off until the motor cools to its normal temperature.
Repeated overheating may cause damage to the pump.
