Stoicism is still too Western: Our impending EcoDoom ushers in our PreSocratic philosophy

As per Stoicism - check out Dr. Peter Kingsley who did his Ph.D. on Pythagorean philosophy. He argued that ever since Plato and Aristotle the Western "civilization" has been based on lies. And he was rejected by academia but supported by the Sufi community. So Kingsley documents that true philosophy is the PreSocratics as nonwestern philosophy. Stoicism is still too Platonic and based on Western thinking too much.
All models are wrong but some are useful. You can argue it’s a “lie” but what isn’t, it’s about separating the wheat from the chaff.
@Doge Taxes  It depends how time is defined. Westerners define reality by a materialistic linear view of time as "progress" based on "efficiency" of technology. So essentially a Westerner defines reality as a waking mechanical machine scenario of nuts and bolts. It's a very very crude worldview that then imposes slave wages, slavery and genocide on the periphery of the empire. The internal dynamics of the empire are bread and circuses to give the illusion of freedom from obedience. The truth of time is actually what we experience during deep dreamless sleep. We are not just some "biological machine" that turns on when we wake up. A modern materialistic person would not dare to examine the source of their experience during deep dreamless sleep - such navel gazing could not be a worse waste of time according to this modern definition of efficient machine linear time. This Linear Time progress model ends in the End of Time - all of this is from Zoroastrian religion as professor Norman Cohn pointed out. Also noncommutativity mathematics now realizes that linear time emerges from the future and past overlapping as a nonlocal source of 4D spacetime with the linear causality. So we can listened to, logically infer and resonate with the noncommutative protoconsciousness of the Universe inside of us - we also find this out when at death our internal ghost or coherent biophoton laser holographic spirit leaves our body - suddenly we are immersed into the truth of reality: All matter is made of light and the source of light is this superluminal phonon acoustic energy-information that guides us from the future. Louis de Broglie figured this out as his Law of Phase Harmony.

So they are worried about the increase in microbial methane release but then go on to discuss about the industrial sources? Where's the logic in that? They're saying between 2007-2016 microbial CH4 release was 38% of the total and 62% industrial sources....so how much is the percentage of microbial release increasing then???? We already knew what a terrible job industry is doing. How much is CH4 from permafrost thawing accelerating is what folks are curious about.

Logic?? Can't go there. Let's not forget what's lurking that really makes all of this moot - >240 ZJ of heat energy in the oceans waiting to diffuse to the atmosphere. There are measurements indicating this is starting to happen. We can go to zero emissions this instant. The heat in the oceans, the positive feedback loops we started and other situations have already sealed the fate of humanity. Humans are on a path to extinction, most likely before this century ends.

@Science Talk with Jim Massa  Yeah buddy...i like logic. A lot of folks apparently don't and i feel like Dr. Spock at times haha :) But hey....at least they mentioned microbial release right?! That's all we get for now. Let's shy away from all the well documented feedback mechanisms for now and just ask ourselves if "warming is causing more warming"???? Anyway Jim your Alaskan wildfires seem a lot less so i hope you're breathing clean air again. Take care mate.
@forest dweller research  "The ESAS is the region of the WO where ˃80% of the world’s predicted subsea permafrost and associated permafrost-related hydrates exist. It was suggested that ˃1400 Gt of CH4 could be preserved in the seabed of the ESAS [90]. The current annual emission of CH4 to the atmosphere was calculated to be between 8 and 17 Tg annually [19,20]; this implies, conservatively, that equal amounts could have been potentially released annually during the previous climate epochs if permafrost had not restricted CH4 flux. Therefore, due to such restriction, during the time of one glacial period (~100 kYrs) ˃800 Gt of CH4 could have accumulated in the ESAS seabed as postponed potential fluxes. This amount of pre-formed gas preserved in the ESAS suggests a potential for possible massive/abrupt release of CH4, whether from destabilizing hydrates or from free gas accumulations beneath permafrost; such a release requires only a trigger. " Natalia Shakhova, June 2019 Nothing to see here folks - nothing worth mentioning.

@Voidisyinyang Voidisyinyang  And not many people paid attention to those words by Shakhova about free gas acumulations did they? They all started discussing hydrates instead.....
@forest dweller research  Yeah hardly anyone notices Natalia Shakhova. I think basically scientists overall are too specialized. It seems that just being well-read is better than being even a research scientist. Mathematics itself predicts our whole current quagmire - it's really a problem of logic. Physics professor Albert Bartlett was correct to emphasize the exponential math but that is itself the inverse of the wrong logarithmic function originating from the wrong music theory of Archytas and Philolaus (promoted by Plato with his grand conspiratorial philosophy that we are all still stuck on). Yes the technical empirical details of doom are fascinating indeed - Professor Raymond Pierrehumbert responded to me when I asked if his Terminal Shock debunking of albedo modification applied to the MEERS Project - but when I asked him about what to do to mitigate the Aerosol Masking Effect being twice as bad as previously thought - no response. I even sent him all the citations - including a quote from his previous publication on the topic. Still no response. So it appears when push comes to shove - the scientists all go scurrying under rocks or hiding in the wood work - we as humans are really no different than insects in the end. hahaha.

It's people with this mentality/awareness that are going to cause our world to be destroyed.

@Lisa Harin  The OP, ...or the Climate Occultist?

@Mr. Nightshade  it depends how you define the world - it seems that rather then the world being turned upside - as happened during the various modern revolutions that continue on today - the world is now being turned inside out via the ecological abrupt global warming methane bomb doom. Ignorance is no long bliss as even the elite can't escape the impending radioactive nightmare. We can expect more Two-Headed depleted uranium babies in our near future. Fortunately activists no longer have to do anything except sit back and let Mother Nature finish off the job for us. haha. I knew we were doomed by 1996 - so I just trained with a Chinese spiritual master healer yoga teacher - to realize that ghosts and spirits are real. The materialistic modern world will be left behind by everyone soon - not just the activists.

Jim, a Big Ask I know but I ask anyway💙: Could you, say, once a month or month-and-a-half OR when events call for it, do a ROUNDUP OF EXTREME WEATHER EVENTS **tying them to human-caused climate change and Global Heating**. Tying them in passing to one/more of your videos, others' videos if need be, etc. NO need to prep some formal presentation, just few screenshots of the events and your own personal reactions. PERSON-TO-PERSON NEEDED NOW. No single guy with the authority and awareness like you have does this anymore. It's left to BS MSM if at all. P.S. that "once a month" could also include Mauna Loa. What has happened there in May and June 2022 has me shtting my pants and dreading the release of the July reading.

There was actually a youtube channel called "extreme weather events" or something similar - and they would upload a montage of news reports. I think it was once a week. Not sure if that channel is around - I tried to find it again but wasn't successful. Actually Sandy at Environmental Coffeehouse youtube channel just uploaded her own montage of extreme weather around the world - I think it was a video clip of someone else creating the montage? Not sure.

It's a thought. Others commonly report on extreme weather events. Sandy at Environmental Coffee House, Whitney at the Green Report mention such events. If I were to tie such events to my videos, it may come across too much as "I told you so"! (Even if I do do that on occasion)!

@Science Talk with Jim Massa  Just a thought. Thanks for the reply. There is a great need here. McPherson and Beckwith are no good anymore at such mundane daily work, Beckwith a total shit-lib loss while McPherson misses so much. Will not be referring to either of the two sites you mentioned, they're not what I want, may have seen Env Coff House in the past, didn't like it; if it's got "Green" in the name I write it off. Don't need "montages", need human feeling from a climate scientist.

@Ed C  Shitlibs are self-serving rich elite politicians who are subscribers of neoliberal economics and governance." Paul's a laser physicist - so yeah he doesn't understand ecology very well. Conservation biology has no funding or next to no funding - hence our "biological annihilation." You may think I'm just a youtube troll but in fact I got certified in conservation biology in 1992 in Costa Rica - as part of my undergraduate degree. haha. That's when I read EO Wilson's book on Biodiversity stating we face a mass extinction crisis. GEE McFearSun says that is the earliest reference he knows of a mass extinction of species crisis being documented. I knew we were doomed by 1996!! You don't need day to day details of the doom as it can be logically inferred as a structural error of Western science itself.

@Voidisyinyang Voidisyinyang  A good channel meeting your description is The Rage of the Earth. The locations are properly labelled, the commentary is undramatic and factual, and there's good worldwide weekly video collection. Hope that's useful to you. Not what Ed C is looking for ofc, as the commentary is not expert.
@Jane Brown  That looks like the same channel under a different name - thanks. Yes Ed C should be future focused as Natalia Shakhova points out the huge gigaton pressurized methane release that could be triggered at any moment out of the world's largest ocean shelf. We have a bright future indeed - only as ghosts and spirits existing in the ether energy-information that is eternally guiding us from the future (and thus inherently can't be seen). As the Egyptians of ancient times said about Apopis - the etymological origin of apocalypse - The Cosmic Mother will never be Unveiled.

Nick - this is your best summary of your argument that I could find: "The temperatures of objects in space, e.g. the Earth, Moon, space station, Mars, Venus, etc. are determined by the radiation flowing past them. In the case of the Earth, the solar irradiance of 1,368 W/m^2 has a Stefan Boltzmann black body equilibrium temperature of 394 K, 121 C, 250 F. That’s hot. Sort of. But an object’s albedo reflects away some of that energy and reduces that temperature. The Earth’s albedo reflects away about 30% of the Sun’s 1,368 W/m^2 energy leaving 70% or 958 W/m^2 to “warm” the surface (1.5 m above ground) and at an S-B BB equilibrium temperature of 361 K, 33 C cooler (394-361) than the earth with no atmosphere or albedo. The Earth’s albedo/atmosphere doesn’t keep the Earth warm, it keeps the Earth cool." If I were you I'd stick to the above quote b/c otherwise it's difficult to follow your logic. Now as to the truth of your assertion - have you ever taken a quantum physics class from a quantum physics professor? Raymond Pierrehumbert is relying on the wavelength of light for his argument - it's quantum physics. So CO2 is not the same as water. Between 300 ppm and 1200 ppm - there is a logarithmic increase in the atmospheric pressure energy based on frequency wavelength. So essentially it's like the back of a C.D. where you see the rainbow light based on the diffraction gradients as wavelength. The thickness is changed by CO2 thereby reflecting more infrared light then leaves Earth. As the CO2 increases logarithmically then the temperature on Earth doubles for the doubling of the CO2. So 300 to 600 is a doubling of the temperature increase or 1 degree Celsius. Then 600 to 1200 ppm is another doubling of the temperature to 2 degrees Celsius. NOW the Aerosol Masking Effect as the albedo is now calculated to be TWICE as bad as previously thought - this means that sulfur pollution decreased by 40% will also heat up Earth another 1 degree Celsius global average. Since 1/3 of CO2 is from coal, the main source of sulfur pollution - then it's a kind of catch-22 situation. I asked Raymond Pierrehumbert about this but got no response. IN terms of quantum physics it's important to realize that all matter is actually ultimately made of photons. But it is only in Relativistic quantum physics that the photons are realized to be powered by virtual photons. So we really need to tap into virtual photons to solve our ecological crisis. thanks
