 It's remarkable how science leaves out the lunar cycles and lunar calendar - says Professor Chris Knight, giving a talk on menstrual huts - and the discussion that follows.

I was watching Taxi Driver on TCM - I had the sound off - as soon as I read the line, "Women are like a Union" - suddenly I turned to t.v. off so I could finish this excellent "Radical Anthropology" talk and discussion by Chris Knight, Camilla Power, etc. on menstrual huts and the development of the patriarchy via solar calendar agriculture.

Very fascinating analysis.

They discuss the Dogon - a tribe that qigong master Jim Nance mentioned recently in his Qi Talk. Jim had told me about an experience - he mentioned in another qi talk about ten years ago - about the Dogon healing or a tribe close to the Dogon area in Mali.

Chris Knight explains how men imitate the female's menstrual huts - in the male "secret" initiations of Subincision of the reproductive organ, etc.

"We stole these tricks from women" - they are tricks by men by real by the women.

The blood of the hunted animals is sacred as the female menstruation blood is sacred. The hunted animal is the sacrifice as ritual sacrifice also that HAS to be "offered up" to the female and her in-law's family.

The reason WHY CHristianity "took off" is because every time, in the Jewish tradition, an animal had to be taken to the temple - and it was hugely expensive - since the priests take their cut. St. Paul transformed "Jesus" into a mythic figure as the Sacrifice to end all Sacrifices - what use were those ancient sacrifices - they had to keep doing them again and again and again? Why not have a Sacrifice that works for all time? Jesus is the Sacrificial Lamb to End all Sacrifices - 

it made religion a lot cheaper - the one and only sacrifice - and not need to pay a ritual fee for every animal sacrificed for food.

Protestantism is cheaper than Catholicism.

Religion keeps getting cheaper because capitalism has taken over.

The Divine King thus also mimics the Eland Bull of the first menstruating woman from the Eland Bull Dance ritual

The "Scarlet Woman" in Christianity means it's NOT Allowed for the woman to show other males that she is menstruating - she can't mention it, let alone show it...

When in the Dogon in Mali - she uses her menstruation to ADVERTISE to pick and choose the men - so the Dogon are a "transitional" culture before patriarchy have taken control.

Ian Watt chimes in that the lack of Big Game Hunts - being wiped out around the world - but least in Africa - then smaller game is hunted and hunting throughout the month - and so women are taken as more "permanent partners" OVER the Kinship Matifocal culture....

I'll give Robert DeNiro the final word - when he says that the under age prostitute should not be treated like "a piece of chicken"
