The side roots were long but I cut most of the main roots anyway and I used a tire to have the force pull UP as the roots lack holding power when pulled up.
So I put the tire up and the chain over it so the tree stump gets pulled up.
So I used this new 14 inch saw to cut the roots.
So I used a Choke Chain tie off on the tow chain so then as it pulls tight it increases the tension on the hold so the chain doesn't slip off. I also cut a notch in the stump to catch the chain if it slipped up.
I put this Mattress Pad over the chain as it's supposed to prevent the back window getting smashed out - but I think it has to be a heavy blanket to really work. It would have mitigated damage I think but again the stump pulled out with ease!
I just slowly pulled forward while in 4WD LO for the strongest traction.
I've never used a tow chain before nor even the hitch on this car - it was just the side weld to the hitch.
