The Tragic Abuse of Gail Russell's beauty: Hollywood 1940s Starlette dead at 36 from alcoholism

I was just wondering the name of the "Leading lady" in this 1947 John Wayne movie. I've never watched a John Wayne movie before and so I was surprised I lasted a half hour into this one! I had to look up the leading lady.

I had never heard of her but I knew her lust for John Wayne was real - in the movie - I could sense her lust when she stared into John Wayne's eyes. That was not acting.

John Wayne's wife didn't think so either as her grounds for divorce were based on the claim that Gail Russell had spent the night with John Wayne.

In her first movies - before John Wayne - Gail Russell as a teenager of 18 or 19 - was told by someone on set that Gail should start using alcohol to stop bawling all the time on set.

Why was Gail bawling? She thought the hat that the director was forcing her to wear was an ugly hat!! Also she could only memorize 5 to 6 lines at a time....as she had no previous acting experience...

So then film after film she soon became an alcoholic and she got arrested for drunk driving. She later ran into a store front and she got sued for drunk driving damage.

Later she got sued again for drunk driving damage and by age 36 she was found dead with an empty bottle of vodka next to her and a house full of empty bottles of vodka.

The Hempel Effect

Visually, the frequency and amplitude changes but the EAR hears no difference - both phases are the Perfect Fifth just inverted as undivided yin-yang (the Taiji). I was discussing noncommutative phase with Nobel physicist Brian Josephson - and he said that I didn't understand how octaves were a geometric logarithm - so that C to G is 3/2 yet G to C is 3/4 as the harmonic series. So I tried to point out to him that since the 2 and 4 are the SAME C as "pitch" - then in the same octave, when doubled back, you can not HAVE the same G as Both the Perfect Fifth and Perfect Fourth. Why? Because 3/4 is the reverse direction in time - so that now the "3" is the denominator as a new root tonic. And so the harmonic series assumes this is a logarithmic equation as a ratio that can be inverted - but you can not evenly divide the octave and the Perfect Fifth since 2 does not go into 3 evenly. So this means that 3/4 is actually C to F while C to G is 3/2 and the C to F was derived from doubling 2/3.
