Building Code for Duct Pipe Screws! Imperial Stove Pipe screws heads pop off! Be careful

Exhaust ducts shall be supported at intervals not to exceed 12 feet (3658 mm) and shall be secured in place. The insert end of the duct shall extend into the adjoining duct or fitting in the direction of airflow. Exhaust duct joints shall be sealed in accordance with Section M1601.4.1 and shall be mechanically fastened. Ducts shall not be joined with screws or similar fasteners that protrude more than 1/8 inch (3.2 mm) into the inside of the duct.

I was staring at stainless steel self-tapping sheet metal screws - what size to buy? I bought 1 inch. TOO long!!

Says the two duct pipes need one inch of overlap - at minimum!!

I'm probably going to wait to install the stainless steel duct pipe. I'm gonna put the worm clamps around the duct pipe already installed - as a safety measure increase the increased temperature and pressure causes it to explode.

The aluminum heat exchanger stripes will cool down the duct pipe by at least 100 degrees Fahrenheit - so should be safe.

I will use the infrared gun to check the temperature and the change.

Then I'll get a stainless steel elbow - since that will get the most heat - and will keep it from rusting out. So in the Spring I will install a new "rust-free" duct pipe system.

At least for most of it.

I LOOKED for stovepipe crews - I thought they were stocked at one of the local DIY stores. I went to two of the DIY big box stores. NOPE.

Maybe they're at the third one.

OK the Imperial Stove Pipe screws got bad reviews - said the Heads popped off!! (Made in China)...

So what other Stove Pipe screw brands are there?

The Hempel Effect

Visually, the frequency and amplitude changes but the EAR hears no difference - both phases are the Perfect Fifth just inverted as undivided yin-yang (the Taiji). I was discussing noncommutative phase with Nobel physicist Brian Josephson - and he said that I didn't understand how octaves were a geometric logarithm - so that C to G is 3/2 yet G to C is 3/4 as the harmonic series. So I tried to point out to him that since the 2 and 4 are the SAME C as "pitch" - then in the same octave, when doubled back, you can not HAVE the same G as Both the Perfect Fifth and Perfect Fourth. Why? Because 3/4 is the reverse direction in time - so that now the "3" is the denominator as a new root tonic. And so the harmonic series assumes this is a logarithmic equation as a ratio that can be inverted - but you can not evenly divide the octave and the Perfect Fifth since 2 does not go into 3 evenly. So this means that 3/4 is actually C to F while C to G is 3/2 and the C to F was derived from doubling 2/3. So this is called the "phantom tonic" in music theory and reveals the noncommutative phase origin of the music harmonics - as Alain Connes recognizes. Let us draw up a fundamental vibration with its first and second harmonic overtones [1:2 and 2:3]….if we then shift the phase relationship, we get a totally different course of the combined curve; that is, of the pressure course [amplitude and frequency] which is apparently effective in the final analysis.
