 Basically the roots of trees and plants are the brains of trees/plants just as our 2nd brain gut has more neurons and serotonin then the heart. In Nonwestern Meditation the whole key is to STORE energy in the 2nd brain called the "elixir field." This is due to the subharmonics as a reverse time or backwards wobble from the future (the precession of Earth for example). So as Hameroff details the tryptophan found in both plants and animals is an electron "pi resonance" molecule resonating with the tubulin inside the microtubules (found both in plants and animals). So in plants it's auxin as a growth hormone instead of serotonin but the tryptophan is activated by the tubulin storing negentropic nonlocal entanglement energy of the Universe - just as Schroedinger argued in the 1940s that the Negentropy that powers the Sun's quantum entanglement is also the basis for life on Earth.

So there is a self-amplifying energy of the reverse time (negative entropy) or relativistic mass energy (negative frequency) as what science calls "noncommutative phase." You can read the science award winning book, "Life on the Edge" (2016) for details. This is also documented by Yakir Aharonov's research group as "negaparticles." So with Biophotons in vitro (inside both plants and animals and fungi, etc) - there is a quantum coherence that resonates into the macroquantum scale of energy. This manifests via the Schumann Resonance as a subharmonic or "quantum beat" of about 7 to 8 hertz - for both plants and animals. So this means that the weak magnetic field of Earth has the proper frequency to resonate an electron negative potential energy (the antioxidants in plants are then stored into animals via this charge). In both cases it resonates via the cytochrome protein enzymes that work essentially as photoreceptors to convert nonlocal energy via photons into electron energy.
That's why going barefoot on Earth creates negative ion charge but the SOURCE of that energy is actually "from the future" as relativistic mass of the biophotons internally - or the reverse time energy. This is also explained via de Broglie's Law of Phase Harmony (what he called his most important discovery). You can also see Nobel physicist Gerard 't Hooft's article, "Light is Heavy." All matter is light but the secret power of light is the "relativistic mass" of light from the future as virtual photons.
So essentially Planck's Constant is the average energy of light but because it was converted to Joules then the time unit was canceled out and the time-frequency is noncommutative with the relativistic time being noncommutative to the quantum time. This is why protoconsciousness is BEFORE the "collapse" of the quantum wavefunction whereas consciousness is this "collapsing" process itself - essentially it's the harvesting of the reverse time energy as "entropy" creating free radicals via our mitochondria (algae) as our internal plant energy equivalent of chloroplasts.

 It is apparent that the dynamics generated by light-auxin interactions seems to involve phytochrome. For example, in Arabidopsis, the mechanism may be linked to phytochrome A and B. These enzymes can impose a strong influence on auxin levels in plants, by acting through tryptophan metabolism enzymes (SUR2 and TAA1) and, as a feedback mechanism working on available auxin, transcriptionally regulating several enzymes encoding genes (GH3 family) as reported by Franklin and Whitelam [9] and Halliday et al. [7]. Further, the role of light is involved with both the distribution of auxin from shoot to root and its flux. Light pathways may modify auxin distribution by controlling the abundance of auxin efflux carriers such as PIN-FORMED proteins and p-glycoproteins of the ATP-binding cassette family B (ABCB) transporter molecules, through phytochromes and, probably also, cryptochromes.

 Moreover, auxin and serotonin have biochemical structural properties in common and hence exhibit some analogous biological functions. Biochemically, they are both tryptophan metabolites, they have a very similar molecular structure and hence similar chemical and physical properties as argued above and in the references cited there. Unsurprisingly, this strongly suggests that auxins perform similar functions in plants and animals. Therefore, the following questions arise: In analogy to auxin in plants, is it possible that there is a type of “light interaction” in the CNS, involving serotonin and neuronal development and morphology?

 In fact, serotonin has been observed to stimulate stem cells to divide and give rise to new neurons of the ENS even in adult animals [32]. Its ability appears to be essential for post-natal and adult health.

. In particular, mitochondria and microtubules in neurons as well as myelinated axons have been hypothesized to serve as photonic waveguides [24,25,26,27]. Also, it has been shown that glutamate (which is by far the most abundant neurotransmitter molecule in the nervous systems of vertebrates—on the basis of its involvement in over 90% of synaptic connections in the human brain) could induce biophotonic activities and transmission in neural circuits [28].

 In fact, possible sources of biophotons have been identified as the result of mitochondrial respiration [48, 49] or lipid oxidation [50,51]. Nevertheless, miniature photon-producing version of the sun may be present within us. Early research found that the intensity of photon emission depends on the concentration of oxygen in the atmosphere. Next, in search of the biological compounds that actually produced the chemiluminescence, carefully controlled tissue homogenization procedures were carried out that could break up tissues but allowed cell organelles to remain intact. These procedures facilitated the identification of the mitochondria as the cellular parts that were responsible for the majority of the photon emission (Tarusov and Zhuravlev, 1965). Moreover, it was demonstrated that the luminescence of mitochondria is associated with oxidative phosphorylation (Vladimirov and L’vova, 1964). These classic research data were first reviewed in Barenboim et al. (1969).

 So that's why Wim Hof breathing causes biophoton light emission to be seen internally. The Bohr Effect at breath retention increases oxygen in the cells.

The hydroxyl radical may also lead to the emission of photons when it reacts with lipids, thus resulting in the formation of excited carbonyl species (ROO), in which oxygen is in the excited singlet or triplet states. Upon decay to the ground state, these carbonyl species emit photons. It should also be emphasized that recombination reactions of certain radicals may release up to 480 kJ/mol energy, which is sufficient to generate UV-photons in the 230–300 nm range.

This is why FAT BURNING is a more efficient source of energy in the body - Ketosis or fasting - combined with meditation - then "turns the light around."

No it's actually hard science. "Integrating Ultra-Weak Photon Emission Analysis in Mitochondrial Research" is what I'm reading now. You call it "nowhere" but actually it's from time as energy. So it's not "No When." haha. We can listen FASTER than Time-Frequency Uncertainty or Fourier Uncertainty. Manfred Euler goes into this - I've corresponded with him - he's a German physicist. So the phase coherence between the right and left ear is at the microsecond wavelength which is the Ultrasound frequency. Aniriban - corroborated Penrose and Hameroff that indeed it is the Ultrasound frequency that has the strongest amplitude (3000 times greater) of electromagnetic energy of the microtubules due to the tubulin metamaterial relativistic quantum coherence. So then Stuart Hameroff actually got his brain zapped with ultrasound which then naturally increased his serotonin levels.

 Data also confirmed that the maximal signal/noise ratio was found for the dorsal and palm sides of left and right hand. Additional spectral decomposition studies of the emission of hands showed a major spontaneous emission at 470–570 nm, suggesting UPE was ROS related (Van Wijk and Van Wijk, 2005; Tsuchida et al., 2019). The conclusion from the macroscopic UPE studies – technological and methodological – was that emission of hand dorsal and palms are most likely for analysis of UPE signals for fluctuations on 10–15 s time scales (Van Wijk and Van Wijk, 2006).

Besides these mechanisms, other processes, such as proton flows through cytochrome oxidase enzymes in the mitochondrial membrane6 and transitions of excitons in proteins7, could also play a role for UPE generation. Particularly the former – although to our knowledge no mechanistic evidence has been published yet – yields photon emissions in the near IR-range at about 850 nm, while the latter presents theoretical results referring to photon emission in the longer wavelength range. Whereas UPE in the visible/near-infrared region can be attributed to the described mechanisms quite well, the origin of UPE in the UV region (especially < 350 nm) is not completely understood yet.

Cancer cells have an already higher ΔΨm value compared to mitochondria in healthy cells (approx. −220 mV vs. −140 mV)49. The increased UPE due to the medium change could be thus principally explained by either a further increase in ΔΨm or a change in the RE, most probably a shift to a more oxidative state.

 These include cell-density changes due to proliferation, circadian rhythm of cellular processes, non-linear dynamics of mitochondrial function (ROS and cytochrome-c release, as well as oxygen consumption), or time-dependent up-regulation of adaptive stress responses.

 Reiki significantly increased the photon emission of the cells post-treatment compared with Reiki pre-treatment and sham (p < 0.05). Real time PCR (RT PCR) showed an increase in collagen II and aggrecan (p < 0.05). We present a means to quantify biofield therapy by measuring the post-treatment photon emission. We concurrently demonstrate Reiki’s effect on the anabolic healing response.

Other factors may play a part in the mechanism of BE and biofield therapy, including a wavelength spectrum not measured in this study, photon spin, and momentum.

 Conversely, if the mechanism through which biofield therapy produces effect is not light, then the photons emitted from the subject is BE. The subject is stimulated to generate photons without a light source and instead through an endogenous energy pathway. Differentiating the effects biofield therapy triggers in a subject, whether it is BE or delayed luminescence, is evidence for biofield therapy’s mechanism. In this paper, we use three terms to describe the emission of photons, including biophoton emission and delayed luminescence as described above, and photon emission. We use the term “photon emission” to describe the radiation of photons without discriminating between the mechanism. We use “photon emission” primarily when it is unclear which mechanism is being demonstrated, BE or delayed luminescence.

 While BE is the production of photons from the cell’s own energy supply, delayed luminescence is the emission of photons induced by an external light source.

 Research has demonstrated that collagen tissue displays delayed luminescence when stimulated with a light source (). As such, collagen is an adequate cellular model to investigate BE.

 An explanation for the Reiki treatment group measurements being lower than expected is that the Reiki-induced cells absorbed the emitted photons from the practitioner, which prevented the PMT from measuring the photons. Instead, the photons were measured post-treatment according to delayed luminescence.
