A Classicist graduate student is SO CLOSE yet so far from understanding PreSocratic Alchemy Philosophy

Have you read "Christ in Egypt" by D.M. Murdock - she was a classicist major and did independent research. It's an academic tome that also gets into alchemy if you understand the esoteric meanings.

Excellent overview of Peter Kingsley's Ph.D. thesis published in 1996 by Oxford University Press - I discovered it around 2000. thanks, P.S. I finished my Master's Degree by doing nonwestern alchemy meditation via a Daoist spiritual yogi healer. Kingsley writes about things that I've personally experienced.

Have you read G.E.R. Lloyd on the comparison of muscles between ancient Greece and China? It's the opposite but there is a shift after Plato. The Pre-Socratics are more like traditional Chinese medicine. Modern (since Plato) philosophy does not understand the physiological secrets of Pythagorean philosophy as the same as Daoist philosophy. In Daoist martial arts there is a term, For eample,
Anyone can translate 馬陰藏相?It means men's reproductive organ go inside the belly, just like the horse. I don't know if horses have this situation. One who practices Ming goun very well can have the situation like this.
Is anyone here has this situation? 馬 horse 陰 reproductive organ 藏 hide 相 look like So if you study Tradtional Daoist martial arts the goal is for the male to literally be able to suck his reproductive organs back inside his body.
If you read, "Tao and Longevity" by Master Nan, Huai-chin - he describes this as

"The genital organs and testicles of a man will retract tightly like a baby's. This initial phenomenon, known is "a retractable penis like that of the horse," is one of the thirty-two signs of a Buddha."
So similarly in Siberian the Reinder herders will literally damage or bite into some of the male reindeer testicles - so that the testicles no longer are used for reproductive energy and instead those reindeers develop big muscles to be able to break through the ice to get at the lichen, thereby feeding the rest of the herd. So modern (since Plato) Western philosophy does not understand the PreSocratic philosophy, the same as Daoism, of a universal ether energy that powers the reproductive life force. For example the female vagus nerve connects to the cervix so that if the female vagus nerve is activated directly then it causes the same as a "big male" reproductive organ stimulating the cervix. Only this is done directly through the energy and the male also stores up his energy via the vagus nerve that connects to the testicles, thereby causing the retraction.

Why she calls herself MARC Graves - who knows?
