control freaks - to maximize profit. For example there's a new app to sale damaged food at discount. So instead of donating to Second Harvest, etc. they can squeeze out some more profit. Better than a tax deduction. I dumpster dived food for ten years. One young worker - probably his first job - freaked out - "Hey that's OUR trash." haha. Behind a grocery store - this Old Skool worker FREAKED and yelled at me. People after years of the same old job become hard-wired attached to their company's trash. Kind of strange indeed. It's Stockholm Syndrome to be sure. I worked a warehouse job and I saw a dumpster diver and we had a friendly talk as he dived our dumpsters. haha. THEN I donated a whole pallet of bananas to Second Harvest - as the other workers remembered me saying that we don't have to just throw it all out. Another warehouse job I sent the owner a letter after I left - he got busted for shipping up cocaine in the bananas. So I told him how he'd get good PR instead of tossing all his fruit. Sure enough he began donating to Second Harvest - I sorted tomatoes for him for a summer. The other coworker told me all the stories.
