A local news story to be published on my organic lawn work

I've been cranking on the "Weedpopper" tool - now I have to carry a big wrench to straight it out regularly.  It works best when the soil is soft after a rain but we've had no rain in a week or something.

Anyway somehow a local writer got word and now there is to be a story written - I sent in some "stats" about using electric motors and organic compost, etc.

I also talked with the reporter who is also on our local environmental committee in town. I had an idea for how I could leverage some tax dollars if I do a curbside collection compost service for the town to the county site. A county environmental communicator informed me that she did not think the county could accept compost from me if I was being paid by the city to collect it! As our lawn person here said - "that's not logical." haha.

I asked for details as to why and so far no response.

Anyway I will get back to the mushroom inoculation soon. The abrupt global warming weather has been wild as usual. So it's difficult to say when I'll get a first harvest - maybe I can try shocking some logs if it is warm enough for fruiting.
