The Electron is a Charged Photon with the De Broglie Wavelength
A charged photon and its light-speed helical trajectory form a surprising new solution to the relativistic electron's energy-momentum equation. This charged photon model is a new model for the electron, and quantitatively resembles the light-speed electron described by Dirac. The charged photon model of the electron is found to quantitatively predict the relativistic de Broglie wavelength of the free electron. This suggests a new interpretation of quantum mechanics, where the electron is seen as a charged photon, and the quantum mechanical wave equations for the electron are generated by the waves produced by the circulating charged photon that composes the electron.

Derivation of the Inertial Mass m = E o / c 2 of an Electron Composed of a Circling Spin-½ Charged Photon
Rather, the inertial mass of an elementary particle of matter is due to the momentum of a circling photon-like object composing the particle. The particle’s inertial mass is calculated as the time rate of change of the momentum vector of a circling photon-like object composing the particle, divided by the associated centripetal acceleration of the circling photon-like object. A transluminal energy quantum model of the proposed spin-½ charged photon is introduced.

The Dirac equation electron is modeled as a helically circulating charged photon, with the longitudinal component of the charged photon's velocity equal to the velocity of the electron. The electron's relativistic energy-momentum equation is satisfied by the circulating charged photon. The relativistic momentum of the electron equals the longitudinal component of the momentum of the helically-circulating charged photon, while the relativistic energy of the electron equals the energy of the circulating charged photon. The circulating charged photon has a relativistically invariant transverse momentum that generates the z-component of the spin ħ / 2 of a slowly-moving electron. The charged photon model of the electron is found to generate the relativistic de Broglie wavelength of the electron. This result strongly reinforces the hypothesis that the electron is a circulating charged photon. Wave-particle duality may be better understood due to the charged photon model—electrons have wavelike properties because they are charged photons. New applications in photonics and electronics may evolve from this new hypothesis about the electron.

A New Derivation of Eo=mc2 Explains a Particle’s Inertia
Abstract
Two quantum-entangled spin-½ half-photons compose a double-helix photon model. The photon model is composed of a pair of superluminal helically-moving opposite electric charges of magnitude Q = e sqrt(2/alpha) = 16.6 e where alpha is the fine structure constant. During electron-positron pair production these charged half-photons curl up their single-helical trajectories to form geometrically-compatible relativistic zitterbewegung-frequency superluminal quantum-vortex electron and positron models. The superluminal charged energy quantum composing the resting electron and positron models moves on the surface of a mathematical horn torus.

https://arxiv.org/abs/1508.06478 Light is Heavy M.B. van der Mark, G.W. 't Hooft Einstein's relativity theory appears to be very accurate, but at times equally puzzling. On the one hand, electromagnetic radiation must have zero rest mass in order to propagate at the speed of light, but on the other hand, since it definitely carries momentum and energy, it has non-zero inertial mass. Hence, by the principle of equivalence, it must have non-zero gravitational mass, and so, light must be heavy. In this paper, no new results will be derived, but a possibly surprising perspective on the above paradox is given.

This is a QA&D session, hosted by Dr. John G. Williamson, following a presentation of Dr. Martin van der Mark's talk on Quantum Particle, Light Clock, Or Heavy Beat Box? given at the 2018 Vigier conference (see QC0084). The properties of a light clock are investigated. Such a clock slows down relativistically while its constituent frequency speeds up. The talk illustrates beautifully the origin of the harmony of phases, the de Broglie wavelength, and hence, the relativistic basis of quantum mechanics.

It's far too simple to describe what's going on when you all these beats and the Harmony of Phases. You can't describe two phases with one phase! You can't describe the three oscillations in one phase! You're already lost and everything you do from there from 1950 for the entire physics community - is blind to that! De Broglie pointed this out - the wave functions are frame dependent...That is so stupid!!

Do you know what the really brilliant piece of work here is? It's de Broglie! It's tremendous imagination. To find there are TWO oscillations where are EVERYWHERE AND IN ALL TIME IN PHASE AND YET IN DIFFERENT FREQUENCIES: THEY MOVE THROUGH ONE EACH other seemlessly - it's magnificient!
