So according to Pomoly - the Chinese-based tent company (that designed the tent based on the Pomo Indians of California - the tent left Guangzhou today - heading for me....
So northern Minnesota got how much snow already? At least 4 inches...
https://www.wdio.com/livestream/
That's the local news livestream - for weather updates.
So it said 4 to 7 inches expected through Friday early morning - but the National Weather Service only recorded "light snow" so far. We already had "light snow" from a previous storm up north....
So I'll check the weather service tomorrow for an update but it looks promising.
I didn't put in my "support pole" for the roof - because in October we usually don't get this much snow.
But due to Abrupt Global Warming the arctic Jet Stream is all messed up - so this year is RECORD snow!!
Heavy snow shatters October records
It's the heaviest snow this early in October for many Minnesota locations.
https://www.mprnews.org/story/2020/10/20/october-tsnownami-shatters-snowfall-records
It says that parts of northern Minnesota could get eight inches of snow!!
If my Hermit Hut roof survives - then that will be amazing!!
This will be the first snow storm without the support post in the center of the roof - inside the hut.
Snow totals are still coming in, but the National Weather Service measured 4.1" as of 1 AM.
So that means I did not get the 7 inches forecasted as possible - big relief!
If the Hermit Hut roof has collapsed - then at least I'll have the new winter canvas tent and I can try out the new wood stove I created...
