The secret of Robert Johnson's 7th String and the Devil's Crossroads as Hoodoo alchemy music magic

Tone Spectra posted this vid on vimeo - but not youtube

So the best explanation of Robert Johnson's secret 7th string in his definitive foundational blues music - was to be able to change modal keys - both as a pentatonic scale (one for the upper register and one for the lower register of the guitar).

It's a fascinating suggestion or hypothesis - and well-reasoned.

The author of the vid has a "undertone" vid on youtube

The comments section notes that ancient Greek tuning relied on undertones as well.

"The Greek Aulos" - the unjustly neglected research of Kathleen Schlesinger (1862-1953), published in 1939, presents in detail how the *original* Greek modes are (based on) the Undertone Series.
So both of these music tuning analysts are very close to understanding the secret of music as alchemical magic (i.e. the Devil's Music or Blues music) without realizing the key secret of noncommutative phase logic.

So the author comments:
There are those who claim the overtone/undertone series explains major/minor tonalities. Remember that the minor chord is built on the 5th (Ab <~ C <~ F <~ C) and not from the fundamental itself. In my view, humans take the chosen musical scale and its implied harmonies as the 'gamut', while the series defines our sense of acoustic consonance ever-present in the hearing system. Of course, we can make any theory fit our own preferred viewpoint, but in the end, music refuses all logic but its own.
So he is emphasizing that the "perfect fifth" as an undertone then leads to the minor mode - but he doesn't realize that the Perfect Fifth is noncommutative to the One or root tonic.

So I just watched this Netflix doc on Robert Johnson

I first learned of the seven string guitar from Spider John Koerner - I had no idea he was mimicking robert Johnson - but Koerner Ray and Glover, a white trio - playing traditional blues - were also a big inspiration for the British rock and blues musicians (via their buddy Bob Dylan - all playing around the University of Minnesota). So Spider John Koerner doubled his G-string - and as far as I could tell - it was not in any way to change pentatonic tuning at all.

Still this is not to dismiss the original argument about Robert Johnson.

So the myth and legend about Robert Johnson is that he went away for a year and came back a master of a new sound - as the documentary on Netflix describes - whether the power of his music was from the devil or not was up for grabs. But the legend of the cross roads originates from Hoodoo culture of the south - also tied to Voodoo as practiced in south america.

So we know from Noncommutative phase logic that 1 plus 1 does NOT equal two - and so just "doubling" the octave as the 7th string when tied into Blues tuning (minor 3rd and 7th and Perfect Fifth as subharmonics) is the secret of Alchemical Magic paranormal spiritual training - as the infinite spiral of fifths (and fourths).

I have documented this secret in great detail over 30 years of research - all free research available for anyone willing to do some digging (on academia.edu, etc.).

So in fact - as other blues documentaries have noted - the key secret of blues music is to EMPTY the MIND of its troubles - and this is really the "space" between the notes via syncopated rhythm and "smashed" tuning of the equal-tempered scale - it was not just the natural harmonics but the deeper simpler and more radical secret of complementary opposites.

So the "three in one" secret of the  "three gunas" of India - also based on this same secret - is that just as one plus one does not equal two - the reversal of the octave changes the complementary opposites of the ONE as the root tonic (so the 3 is the new root tonic as the One) - and so you have infinite eternal change that is "ever new, ever fresh" to quote Kriya yoga master Yogananda.

Thanks for your listening.

Thanks! There is a book called the "animal orchestra" by a man who has devoted his life to "acoustic ecology" - he traveled the world doing recordings in Nature - he said he could not find one place that did not have modern civilization noise pollution in the background. haha. Still he documents that Ecology is based on specialized niches in sound as an "orchestra" - so each animal has evolved to have a certain timing and frequency to harmonized with all the other animals.

When I was running the Bauer drill - last time I innoculated - then one of the bigger tree frogs was "triggered" - not the same frog - but a couple different frogs of the same species. haha. I felt kind of bad for them but I was wondering what kind of effect the noise pollution from the drill would have. So there you go! It's not that anything is unnatural - YOU just reminded me of what I was going to do as my next blog post.

I was reading Stephen Jay Gould this morning - his "Panda's Thumb" book and Gould points out how the Fibonacci Spiral is found all over in Nature but it's ASymmetric - with "male" and "female" numbers. So Western science is based on the "logarithmic spiral" - assuming a symmetric closed geometry as infinity. the truth of the Universe though is natural harmonics as "male" and "female" numbers - Kepler, for example, was against the Golden Ratio as the "closed" symmetric form of the Fibonacci Numbers.

So in Nature we typically find AntiPhony between males and females - an octave difference. But the "octave" is NOT just a 1 plus 1 symmetry - rather it is a male plus female as complementary opposites! thanks.

awesome story! yes the "ringing" of the ears is the gateway into meditation. There's a whole tradition that teaches to listen to the highest pitch in the ear - in silence. Science now documents this highest pitch heard externally actually resonates the internal skull as ultrasound! This ultrasound then resonates the brain's microtubules as quantum coherence. Human hearing is now documented to be up to 10 times FASTER than Fourier Uncertainty or time-frequency uncertainty (the switch from time to frequency as harmonization). So this occurs at the microsecond wavelength which is an ultrasonic frequency - but is quantum coherent between the right and left ear - since it's ten times faster then a Linear operator of changing from time to frequency.

So that is power of human listening - or the truth of reality. For example to truly learn throat singing - you listen to the highest note in the ear and the ultrasound then resonates the vagus nerve as an electromagnetic transduction - and this relaxes the throat muscle as the OM subharmonic. CIA mind control scientist Dr. andrija Puharich figured out the secret meaning of this all - he called it Phonon-Hydron Effect. So the ultrasound then splits water into proton and electrons and creates a reverse time "magnetic moment" as a spin wave (that is actually the ELF subharmonic that is heard). Kind of wild.
