Guvmint is willing to buy DRIED forest grown Shiitake shrooms if and when I get a harvest? I have one pre-order already: $50 for 2 pounds fresh = 1/4 pound dried

 https://www.ams.usda.gov/selling-food-to-usda/farmers-to-families-food-box is buying mushrooms!

My dad's car that I inherited has been ruled unsafe to drive after this Fall (the gravel salt ate up a hole in the chassis) - and I can not afford to maintain another car. So my plan is to buy a folding bicycle. Then I can take the folding bicycle onto the long distance bus from up north.
62 inches or less when adding length + width + height
I can also bicycle to any camp sites if I want to stay long term up north as I can only legally live on my land for six months a year. They're 73 inches - as L/W/H - dang. If I carry the wheels on board - that should reduce the length enough.

So the only real issue then is what to do with any potential Shiitake Shroom harvest I get. It's hard to say if I will even get ANY harvest. But according to the mycologist who was giving me advice - based on last Fall he said I had good growth of the mycelium.

So it looked promising - very promising. But the weather has been dry and the log size means the logs dry out easily and also there has been the Trichoderma mold that the Shiitake mycelium is competing against. There's also other fungi that the Shiitake is competing against. In no way am I creating a "sterile" environment - in a lab or trailer or whatever.

No this is a full on "wild" forest growing environment. It still looks promising. So that means if I do get any fruit shroom harvest they will have better stronger medicinal value. It's proven that the anti-bacterial enzymes in Shiitake are increased in reaction to fighting off Trichoderma.

So anyway if you are interested in an Shiitake Shroom order down the road if I get a harvest - which COULD happen in a month or less - and if not then it will happen in the Fall hopefully - then let me know in the comments section.

I can then dry the shrooms on site and bring them back on the bus. Of course the Guvmint might think they're psychedelic shrooms or something - on the bus. haha. No a domestic bus trip should not get searched. I just can't image that bicycle folded down being a problem for bus compartment storage. Would they really be so strict about 10 inches over 62 inches?

Anyway if there is NOT interest in the dried shrooms - then I might also delete my whole blog again. I can, if there IS interest in the dried shrooms - then grind them into powdered form (for use as tea, etc.) That will dry the shroom out even more - and then they can be mailed anywhere on Earth.

Thanks for your interest in the blog - as I said - I will very possibly be deleting this whole blog (for my own protection). My take is that the less I have written down then the less that civilization can twist around and turn against me. haha. There is enough of my writing scattered around the interwebs in various uploads by various people (including myself). But of course I would also be deleting my email account and my youtube account also. I would maintain my EcoEchoCultivation email account.

Feel free to email me at ecoechocultivation @ g m ai l . c o om

If you want to PRE-Order then you can do so through my paypal account. I can not guarantee any pre-orders - it's more like an investment or community supported agriculture. Maybe the farmer loses the whole crop? If you DO make a Paypal pre-order then you CAN email me at my EcoEchoCultivation account.  See the side bar of this blog for details.

thanks again,

U.S. Military Nylon Two-Strap Duffel Bag Features: Size 24" x 36" (Over 860 Cubic Inches of Space) Made of Heavy Duty 1000 Denier Nylon Material. Top Load with Rain Flap.
Oh they let Duffel bags on the bus - so that must be where the 62 inches comes from! If they let DUFFEL BAGS - which are CUBIC - not just width.... then the bicycle should be fine....

So they are going by the Diameter of the circle instead of the circumference - and then claiming that the diameter of the circle is the same as width x length of a compartment bag....

So if it fits into a duffel bag...
BTW - I don't put my bikes in hard suitcases. I find I do better in duffel bags with thick foam surrounding the ...
 Score!!

I do have a cheap bike that will fold than gets loaded into an extra-sized duffel
I find I do better in duffel bags with thick foam surrounding the contents, and using my clothing to pad the bike. IME - airlines don't measure big duffels carefully, and it's easy to pass an overly large bag below the radar.
Yeah I'd probably still have to take the wheels off - no big deal probably. But then fit it into the duffel bag and good to go!!
