So this doc - I just saw it was a yoga doc so started watching it. She had to be hospitalized with self-destructive behavior (and she was on the verge of death). She then became a yoga teacher (and CNN did a story on her) and she went off to college. She then noticed she was becoming a control freak again but she got a boyfriend and she said he helped her to be more spontaneous. haha.
I would say that doc is about the yin-yang truth of reality. She relied on a group of yogini women to heal her and it worked - but finding a young loving male also really helped her.

So this one was pretty wild. It was a documentary about LSD really. I've never done LSD nor would I want to. I had a close musician friend from high school - he did LSD all the time in high school. He was dead at age 24 by brain cancer. I don't know if the LSD caused it but I did research LSD and it is linked to brain cancer. https://www.nih.gov/news-events/nih-research-matters/protein-structure-reveals-how-lsd-affects-brain
Serotonin receptors activate 2 major signaling pathways within cells: through G-proteins and through β-arrestins. The researchers found that LSD binds its receptor in a way that causes it to act mostly through the β-arrestin pathway instead of the G-protein pathway. Related ergoline compounds, the scientists found, differ in the way they structurally interact with the receptor. Further laboratory experiments and computer analyses revealed that these distinct but similar compounds can shape the structure of the receptor to trigger different effects. When I lived in a hippy-punk commune in Madison WI - there was one dude who stayed in his room literally all the time and it was explained that he had a bad LSD trip. One time - we had a communal phone - and he never answered it in the hallway. So the phone was ringing. So I knocked on his door and said - the phone is for you. He came out and answered it. I felt kind of bad about that but I also felt it was great that he finally left his room. It was a commune - we were supposed to go to house meetings once a week and do communal chores. I don't know if he did any chores or not - I can't remember knowing about that. If he did any chores I never saw him doing them - I can't imagine him doing any chores since I would have noticed him.
The team also found that the serotonin receptor closes a “lid” over the LSD molecule, preventing it from quickly detaching. This likely explains the drug’s long-lasting effects.

I also met a homeless lady who said she had done LSD once and then became a dropped out hippy due to the experience. So she struggled with survival after an abusive boyfriend kicked her out of their car that they slept in by the river. He just got a younger girlfriend. She turned to reading Rumi poetry and last I saw her - she wanted to try going into debt to become a truck driver. I don't know if that would have worked or not... Chromosomal Damage in Human Leukocytes Induced by Lysergic Acid Diethylamide
The problem with LSD, I learned, is that it increases your dopamine levels along with serotonin. I would not trust a synthetic drug like that - whereas natural plant root seed medicines as psychedelics just increase the serotonin. Sure the MAOIs are dangerous as natural substances also - due to serotonin syndrome - but damaging the dopamine receptors definitely can cause insanity. I knew someone else who bragged about having done LSD a lot and then he got institutionalized. I ran into him later at McDonalds. He had lost his family - not sure what happened to him.
Nevertheless - the film also advocates psychedelics being used for healing depression, anxiety, etc. And so in that case - it is just psilocybin which is an extract of shrooms. I've never done shrooms but I do know someone who has healed himself of depression by doing microdosing. So I think that is a great idea for people to use shrooms for healing.
The documentary then claimed that just being awake is also a type of psychedelic tripping. Yes I would agree with this - and that music is a way to access this truth more easily.
Bikram Yoga predator doc
So here we have the get rich quick Eastern yoga cult as sex predator ejaculation addiction doc. This doc just proves that a person's body can be very flexible but that does NOT mean they are not evil. Flexibility is still a lower body frequency activation - whereas meditation is something different. So philosophy is important when it comes to spiritual powers - and there are evil psychic powers and even the spiritual ego. So I would say that only LISTENING as logical inference is the truth of reality - or as Poonjaji states: Just Keep Quiet!! haha.
This doc was very creepy because there were "enablers" of Bikram also - his wife and some of his students - and this is very much how Patriarchy as ejaculation addiction works - whether it's Epstein or Harvey Weinstein - or the networks of male Primate Predators based on ejaculation addiction. As Vivekananda stated, "spirituality is just sublimated sexual energy."
So there are specific secrets for males to train for celibacy and flexibility and healing energy - and what to do with the healing energy. So I, of course, was the subject of much scrutiny on this subject. My take on this has been - I can sit in full lotus in public since it's my own private body. But this is of course a joke since the truth of the reality is objective and not our own - rather it is the Emptiness. So we just let the energy flow - the biography by George Crane - "Bones of my Master" goes into this. A Ch'an Master's student had a tantric cult in Japan - and the master shows up and just sits in full lotus as his student tries to control him. So he just lets the energy flow through him back into the Emptiness.
http://springforestqigong.com told this story of how students were intentionally taking his energy so he just let them take it and he just kept recharging himself at the same rate as the energy was being taken - through his third eye being fully open. So finally the students realized that the Energy was Infinite and not some limited object that they could "take" for "themselves." So then they went up to him and apologized for what they had been trying to do.
So obviously Bikram has not learned this message. This is called the big Heart opening of real enlightenment - beyond the spiritual ego of having the third eye fully opened. So in Advaita Vedanta the goal then is to open up this heart center that in Mayahana Buddhism is called the 8th level of consciousness.
