I finally read the Inoculator Instructions for EcoEcho Forest Cultivation

So first I was missing part "A" and after meditating and dreaming on it - I remembered having found it and not realizing it was part of the Inoculator! I was going to use it as a door knob on a new stove I would make. haha. So then I found part "A" and OVERNIGHT somehow I lost  part "E"!! So it probably fell in the grass-dirt... or it's still hidden in the car... or?

So I read the instructions and sure enough it says that part "A" will come loose and fall off if you don't check it and how you know is that the packing is routinely BELOW the bark surface! Sure enough I had that problem - last time I used it. haha.

So then it says....

Well you can see the old one got a lot of use. Maybe the new one needs to be varnished or stained or something? I also got a NEW drill bit just to make sure it would be sharp. Field & Forest has a vid on how to sharpen the bit but it's a different type of bit used on the super-fast power drill.

So I never noticed this before but part "E" (that I now have lost on the old inoculator) has a flat screwhead to tighten the connection to part "A"!! Cool to know!!

So now I can return back to finishing the inoculation for year 2. We got a third inch of rain last Saturday - so maybe I will have shrooms when I get up there! I'm not sure if that was enough but the logs needed soaking anyway - so any rain is crucial (unless I soak them of course).

The rain storm we had over a week ago did NOT reach the mushroom farm. Shucks! So hopefully we'll get another spring rain storm up north soon.
