So the most diverse life on Earth was during Life's burst into complex forms - the "Cambrian Explosion" about 500 years ago - and then life became more specialized as it became less diverse.
This Cambrian Explosion was due to the high amounts of oxygen on Earth from the billions of years of algae kicking out oxygen from photosynthesis. This is similar to how our own body's run off mitochondria.
So then as our brain's grow 90% in size in the first 2 years - then the neurons are "thinned out" - to become specialized in function - modular. So we can see how the growth of our own mind-body neurons just mimics the geological history of life on Earth - the Biogeochemical cycle.
So then through qigong we are turning to our Quantum life origins from over 500 million years ago!!
In other words we can continually activate the dormant stem cells in the brain to create new body parts, etc.
