Ian Hodder on Time Depth (entanglement), Bodily Resonance, music trance dancing, and Religion at the founding of Western agriculture 6500 BCE Çatalhöyük

Ian Hodder's talk at google (youtube)

So his book fully archived, word searchable

His follow up book he edited on religion before agriculture

So he uses the term "bodily resonance" 7 times in his first book on Entanglement.

What he is arguing is that the skulls of humans were "entangled" into "things" (the building structures) as a kind of mass ritual sacrifice that led to "things" being more important than individuals.

He says at first religion was more based on low frequency high amplitude esoteric rituals - as shamanism. But as the productivity of agriculture increased then so did entanglement to things along with a materialistic philosophy with religion being more about hierarchical social engineering (high frequency but low amplitude).

So this is quite an amazing model of reality since he is relying on Music and resonance as his metaphor to explain an existential shift in what it means to be human.

So BEFORE 6500 BCE - agriculture was still in the process of being "domesticated" - and houses were more communal based with less dense of production.

Later there was a focus on family production with a wealth accumulation per family. This was done by increasing sheep domestication.

Yes check out this interview about the SCANDAL of religion at the origins of Western agriculture https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/ian-hodder-%C3%A7atalh%C3%B6y%C3%BCk-religion-templetons-25_us_58fe2a64e4b0f02c3870ecf0 So I just did a new blogpost on this, summarizing his research. But Westerners do not like to think that religion CREATED the materialistic Western civilization of farming, etc. That is Ian Hodder's big point (well actually it started with Jacque Cauvin coining the term, "Symbolic Revolution." left brain dominance is mass mind control as a religion.

peaceful hunter-gatherers - morphed into hierarchical agricultural materialists!

New Figurine unearthed - Animal-human (snake up the spine?)

So this was EARLIER farming origins that then spread into  Çatalhöyük (anatolia Turkey) from the earlier Levant site that was 90% deserted by 6500 BCE.

The most impressive element of Göbekli Tepe´s architecture are the T-shaped pillars. The T-shape is clearly an abstract depiction of the human body seen from the side. Evidence for this interpretation are the low relief depictions of arms, hands and items of clothing like belts and loinclothes on some of the central pillars. There is a clear hierarchy of pillars inside the enclosures. The central pillars are up to 5,5 m high, they have the already described anthropomorphic elements. The surrounding pillars are smaller, but more richly decorated with animal reliefs than the central ones. They are always „looking“ towards the central pillars, and the benches between them further amplify the impression of a gathering of some sort. The input of work in the constructions seems enormous.
