My Spring Forest Qigong class level completions officially recognized! Enlightenment Promise secret of the Heart

this is what my account tells me on the http://springforestqigong.com

Good to have that reminder - official acknowledgment - because it's been 25 years!! hahaha. Actually I retook Level 3 and Level 4 a couple times. But in terms of my actual experience level....

And yes I just ordered qigong grandmaster Chunyi Lin's new book! The Enlightenment Promise.

“My dear friend, do you want to have true freedom, happiness, and an abundantly blessed life of peace and joy? Do you want to be healthy and strong again? Do you want to have a loving and happy family, to enjoy supportive and long-lasting friendships? Is it your desire to be surrounded by good fortune and sweet blessings every day? Do you wish to be extraordinary — wise, righteous, and enlightened, like the spiritual masters of ancient and present times?… If you truly desire all these priceless jewels of life, search for and find them in the Heart Sutra. The Heart Sutra is your guide to life’s true treasures.” –Chunyi Lin

Wow - the book sample looks impressive. He said this book has been 15 years in the making - indeed Chunyi has a video from 10 years ago on the Heart Sutra

Deeply absorbed in fetal breathing, they can let their digestive system stop operating.
Second is the ability to live without sleep, which appears at six or seven
months. The yang spirit being in a state of perfection, there are no more yin
aspects in the body, which can function without getting tired or requiring
sleep.
Another effect is the ability to stop the heart beat in a state not unlike sus-
pended animation. Due to continued absorption in embryo respiration, after
eight or nine months, practitioners will no longer breathe through the nose or
mouth nor will they have a pulse or heartbeat. Instead, they exchange spirit
with the greater universe through the pores.
Last but not least is the emergence of the six supernatural powers (liutong
六 通 ): unlimited vision, the ability to understand all, multilocation,
knowledge of past and future, mind-reading, and clear spiritual awareness.
(2018, 120; see also Eskildsen 2004, 120)
The Zhong-Lü texts closely match this description. Thus, the Chuan-
dao ji notes,
Spirit and material souls no longer wander about, and there is no more need
for sleep and dreams. Spirit luscious and essence strong, one functions equally
well night and day. One’s body entirely made up of yang essence, the spirit res-
idence is strong and stable, the four limbs no longer fear cold and heat, and
one no longer thinks of life and death as opposites. . . .
One can shift shape and location at will. One’s secret powers fully devel-
oped, one starts to look like an immortal. Like a tree of jade, one consists of
strange bones and issues a golden glow.

In practice, the two contain their opposite, so that qi is refined into
the water of perfect oneness (zhenyi zhi shui 真⼀之⽔) and fluid brings forth
the qi of rightful yang (zhengyang zhi qi 正陽之氣)
.1 If left untended, on the
other hand, the two devolve into body secretions (jin 津), defined as mucus,
tears, phlegm, saliva, and sweat.

Perfect yang descends as it follows water.

After birth, primordial yang resides in the kidneys and there generates perfect qi. Perfect qi moves to the heart and there generates perfect fluid. This in turn reverts back to the prime. It keeps on moving up and down, back and forth.

The heart and kidneys in the human body are 8.4 inches from each other. Between them yin and yang keep ascending and descending, no different from heaven and earth. Fluid
arises from qi; qi emerges from fluid. Qi and fluid generate each other
along the very same path as the sun and the moon

Primordial yang ascends and generates perfect water; through creative transformation perfect water generates perfect qi; through creative transformation perfect qi generates yang spirit.

Now, the kidneys are water, which contains fire and ascends as qi to move to the heart.
The heart is yang [shen], and yang fuses with yang [yang qi]. When it reaches its great ulti-
mate, it again generates yin [Green Dragon]. The accumulated qi then generates fluid,
which naturally descends from the heart and reverts to the kidneys.

The liver is originally the mother of the heart and the child of the kidneys; it transfers kidney qi to the heart. The lungs are originally the wife of the heart and the mother of the kidneys; they transfer heart fluid to the kidneys. Qi and fluid in the body keep on ascending and descending just like yin and yang between heaven and earth. Liver and lungs transfer qi just like the sun and the moon keep on coming and going.

Now, the liver is yang, yet it resides in a position of yin. For this reason,
kidney qi transfers to liver qi: following the mode of mother and child, wa-
ter generates wood. When kidney qi is sufficient, liver qi is generated, and
once this happens, it is possible to eliminate excess yin in the kidneys and
allow the qi of pure yang to ascend.

Similarly, the lungs are yin, yet they reside in a position of yang. For this
reason, heart fluid transfers to lung fluid: following the mode of husband
and wife, fire controls metal. When heart fluid reaches the lungs, lung flu-
id is generated, and once this happens, it is possible to eliminate all excess
yang in the heart and allow the fluid of pure yin to descend.

Qi ascends while fluid descends, but normally they cannot fuse. How-
ever, when the water of perfect oneness in the qi encounters fluid, they fuse
with each other. When the qi of rightful yang in the fluid encounters qi,
they spontaneously gather.

At the heart qi reaches its great ultimate and generates fluid. This fluid contains the qi of rightful yang; what we call cinnabar is none other than heart fluid. Mercury, then, is
the qi of rightful yang within heart fluid.

What we call blood in this context is originally generated by the heart,
but it contains no qi of rightful yang; essence in contrast is originally gener-
ated by the kidneys, and it does contain qi of rightful yang. This qi of right-
ful yang is the foundation of mercury. When it fuses with the water of per-
fect oneness and enters the yellow court, mercury uses lead to heat up and
steam while lead uses mercury to fire and boil. If lead never obtains any
mercury it cannot develop the water of perfect oneness. If mercury never
gets any lead, it cannot turn into the qi of pure yang.

The heart generates fluid, which contains the qi of rightful yang. As adepts
get this qi to revert to the middle elixir field, qi nurtures the source of the
life force and spirit is spontaneously generated. As they gather life force into
spirit, they can merge with spirit and enter Dao. As they revert it to the up-
per elixir field, they can attain liberation.

Similarly, when yang reaches its ultimate, it generates yin. This contains the qi of rightful yang, which follows yin and descends: this is called reversion to the elixir field from yang to yin.

the flesh is moistened with yang cream

One’s bones become light and turn more into yang spirit, allowing one to move smoothly and run as fast as a horse, walking and stepping as if flying. ...Able to infuse perfect qi into other beings, one can heal people’s ailments and diseases, while in inner observation, one illuminates all and remains free from darkness.... As yin and yang continue to change and transform, one can predict the success or failure of people’s affairs and can foretell disasters
and misfortunes.

heart fluid [DS: born at Li and moving toward Kan] reaches the kidneys, it fuses with its water, reaches its great ultimate, and again generates qi. This means that the generation of qi comes from the water that originates in the heart. Within water, there is perfect qi, which is formless. At Kan [midnight], it reaches the kidneys and connects with its
water, reaches its great ultimate and generates qi. This is the process.

The water of perfect oneness that is in the kidneys fuses with the qi of rightful yang that is in the heart. As they join together, they give birth to a new human being. If this happens within a person, they produce a spiritual power called the internal elixir. Once it
grows over three hundred days, it affords an extension of life.]

 when perfect yang accumulates, it forms spirit,....Perfect yang is like the perfect qi in heart fluid;

Contract the yang barrier and gather the qi, thereby to turn lung qi into gold, which
then flows down into the elixir field near the kidneys.

work on contracting the yang barrier beginning at Dui [2nd point of microcosmic orbit] and ending at Qian [top of skull].

Full of perfect qi and pure yang, you can dry out all outward mercury. All these manifest after you revert golden fluid to the elixir field. ...Then yang spirit can gather and perfect qi coagulate.

This is the textbook to study for Environmental Health Specialist career in my state.

This volume, Environmental Engineering: Prevention and Response to Water-, Food-, Soil-, and Airborne Disease and Illness, Sixth Edition covers:

  • Disease transmission by contaminated water
  • Food-borne diseases
  • Control of diseases of the air and land
  • Appropriate technology for developing countries
  • Environmental emergencies and emergency preparedness

One might also add to the list of water conservation possibilities, where appropriate, use of the compost toilet, recirculating toilet, chemical toilet, incinerator toilet, and various privies. Air-assisted half-gallon flush toilets are also available. 129

Only ONE mention of compost in the whole book? Not much ecology in "environmental"

 https://www.uwe.ac.uk/news/technology-turns-urine-into-electricity

OK so a certain bacteria can generate hydrogen from urine to use for power?

 Microbial Fuel Cell technology....

In an outside space we'll have a toilet block with three cubicles (two with urinals supplied by ROCA and one with the urine-diverting toilet supplied by EOOS) attached to a PEE POWER® system. This will power lights and e-display screens inside the cubicles.

EOOS is called the "Save!" toilet, developed in collaboration with LAUFEN and EAWAG. This innovative toilet uses a "urine trap" and the teapot effect to automatically separate urine by gravity into a concealed outlet, without needing a valve. The toilet is designed for ease of maintenance and its collected urine can be used as fertilizer,

It sanitizes by digesting and their metabolism releases electrons

Peter Jespersen & the secret British Invasion behind the Replacements: Gordon and Gotch magazine distribution

 https://www.bsanz.org/wp-content/uploads/simple-file-list/Bulletin-1970_2004/Bulletin_28_2004/Volume-28_No-1_2/B_2004_Vol28_No1-2_03.pdf

Jesperson’s trajectory is a familiar one: a suburban kid (Minnetonka in his case) who makes his way to the city. He spent his teen years ushering at the Guthrie Theater. In perhaps the most poignantly Sisyphean tale here, the high schooler also attempted to become the Twin Cities distributor of the U.K. rock weekly New Musical Express, failing to unload a thousand copies of the May 1972 “test” issue: “It came with a free flexi-disc containing snippets of songs from the Rolling Stones album Exile on Main Street, two weeks before the album came out,” Jesperson recalls. “I was sure stores and customers would be champing at the bit to get their hands on this magazine.” At least he wasn’t alone: “Apparently, the other cities didn’t do blockbuster numbers either.”

Is this the same Gordon and Gotch publishing out of Toronto?

Peter Jespersen's father was the Midwest distributor for Toronto office of Gordon and Gotch that appears to be a "British Imperial" book publisher - they stretched globally!?! OK it was a magazine publisher started out of Australia! wild.

Gordon & Gotch was founded in 1853 in Melbourne, Australia, by Alexander Gordon and John Speechly Gotch as a news and magazine import and distribution firm.

  • Evolution:
The company became a major magazine distributor in Australia and later had an independent London branch

This paper uses the case study of Gordon & Gotch, media import/exporters, to explore how the transnational sale of British media contributed to a common cultural identity within the British World.

Just as I suspected!! Peter Jespersen tried to distribute a new British rock magazine... via his dad's connection...

the London firm was forced to pivot to a European or more generally “global” strategy, while the Australian firm refocused its energies to domestic and American media. The consequence for Australian consumers was a reduced presence of British media and a greater preponderance of American, Australian, and locally printed multinational media in Australia.

    ...................

The turn from Britain was further eased by more economic and media opportunities coming from the United States.Footnote 92 Throughout the 1950s and 1960s, Gordon & Gotch increased its sale of American newspapers and magazines. This shift toward American and Australian product was less “geopolitical jockeying,” in which multinationals in decolonizing states shift allegiances for political reasons, and more a move of economic necessity.

His water-closet had a pan with an opening at the bottom, sealed with a leather -faced valve. A system of handles, levers and weights poured in water from a cistern, and opened the valve.

In spite of the Queen’s enthusiasm for this new invention, the public remained faithful to the chamber-pot.

These were usually emptied from an upstairs window into the street below, and in France, the cry ‘gardez-l’eau’ gave warning to the people below to take evasive action. This phrase ‘gardez-l’eau’ may have been the origin of the English nickname for the lavatory, the ‘loo’.

  • Recent drying of the Ganga River is unprecedented in the last 1,300 years

     https://www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pnas.2424613122

Wow!! So much for the "sacred Gangas" - the Vedic Brahman tradition has dried up!!

Abrupt global warming Mother Nature Kali is taking over.

The Ganga River has profound religious, cultural, and economic significance for millions living in India, Nepal, and Bangladesh. The Ganga River has been facing drying trends; however, it remains unclear whether the recent drying is unprecedented. We examined the recent drying of the Ganga River using reconstructed streamflow for the past 1,300 y and found that the river basin has faced its worst droughts in the last few decades. The recent drying is well beyond the realm of last millennium climate variability, and most global climate models fail to capture it. Our findings highlight the need to represent the complex interactions among natural and anthropogenic factors in climate models, which can assist water management strategies under climate warming.

1,300 y (700–2012 C.E.) from instrumental data, paleohydrological records, and hydrological modeling, we show that drying from 1991 to 2020 is unmatched in the past millennium. Streamflow decline since the 1990s, driven by frequent and prolonged droughts, is 76% more intense than the 16th-century drought—the closest historical analogue.

Oxytocin Neurohormones and psychiatric disorders: BPA oxytocin receptor (OTR) disruption

     https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34597715/

concerns were raised with respect to the phrasing of comparisons drawn between humans and animal models. These comparisons were deemed unsupportable,

So was it retracted because the animal "models" were the wrong "models" or because humans are not considered "animals" and thus the comparison in science between humans and animals is no longer valid?

The authors disagree with the reason for the retraction.

OK let's dig into the paper!

I was searching transgender neurohormones and that's the paper I got and so the fact that it was retracted intrigued me to no end. I know that females have at least twice as many oxytocin neuroreceptors than males.

The effect of the dopamine D2-type receptor agonist, quinpirole, was examined on learning-conditioned sexual preference in rats. Males, but not females, learn to exhibit same-sex preference after cohabitation under the effects of quinpirole (Cibrian-Llanderal et al., 2012). Moreover, this effect was facilitated by co-administration of oxytocin (Tri-ana-Del Rio et al., 2015).

     fascinating!!!

Aripiprazole is an atypical antipsychotic drug with partial agonistic activity at dopamine D2 and D3 receptors, partial agonist to 5-HT1A and antagonist to 5-HT2A receptors (Frankel and Schwartz, 2017). A case report revealed a 28-year-old male patient diagnosed with schizoid personality disorder, who after being treated with aripiprazole, switched from an exclusive heterosexual with poor sexual activity to hypersexuality with homosexual behavior (Mete et al., 2016). Interestingly, two weeks after discontinuing aripiprazole, he ceased his compulsive sexual behavior and reported a return to heterosexual orientation.

     wow - truly stunning!!

Abstract: This article has been retracted:

The medial preoptic area (MPOA) of the rat hypothalamus contains the sexually dimorphic nucleus (SDN), which is 2–7 times larger in males than in females (Gorski et al., 1980). The difference in this brain area is related to the early endocrine milieu, thus perinatal androgen produced by the testes in males induces a larger SDN-POA...The SDN of the MPOA appears to be related to sexual preference, because its lesion in male ferrets or rats changes partner preference...

learning-conditioned same-sex preference could develop by administering quinpirole or oxytocin either alone or together (Triana-Del Rio et al., 2015). Though the number of oxytocin neurons in the paraventricular nucleus did not seem to be related to sexual orientation (Purba et al., 1993), researchers did find oxytocin had stronger impact on social face processing in homosexual men than in heterosexual men. This indicates that oxytocin may play a different role in the regulation of social interactions according to sexual orientation (Thienel et al., 2014).

    ..............................

Prevalence of schizophrenia and psychotic illness or episode were higher in gay men and men who were not sure of their sexual orientation (Bolton and Sareen, 2011)....

    ........................................

in the Netherlands, where the general attitude towards non-heterosexual orientation is quite positive, there was a higher prevalence of psychiatric disorders among homosexuals, compared with their heterosexual counterparts (Sandfort et al., 2001).

     .......................................

induced by endocrine manipulations during early development.

    ..........................................

several features of schizophrenia, depressed mood and homosexuality are exclusively human-centered concepts.

medial amygdala kisspeptin neurons could be involved in regulating attraction towards opposite-sex conspecifics as well as experimental anxiety. They found that after selectively stimulating these neurons, there was an increase in the time spent by male mice investigating estrous females....

     ................................

Maternal exposure to oxytocin during birth has a modest association with risk for autism in male newborns (Weisman et al., 2015). Meanwhile, babies whose mothers take drugs before their birth
not only display withdrawal syndrome after birth, but also could be left with permanent brain damage. Children having intrauterine exposure to cocaine had a decreased head circumference, and exhibited more withdrawn, anxious, and depressed behaviors at 10 years of age (Richardson et al., 2013) as well as less favorable function as adolescents (Buckingham-Howes et al., 2013). These studies suggest that fetal exposure to medication that affects neurotransmitters may increase adverse neuropsychiatric outcome in newborns.

The high association between psychiatric alterations and non-heterosexual orientation suggests that neurotransmitter changes during development may have an impact on both.
Medications and other chemicals given to pregnant woman may promote the development of neuropsychiatric disorders in the offspring and could lead to individuals with non-heterosexual orientation.

Perinatal bisphenol A (BPA) exposure alters brain oxytocin receptor (OTR) expression in a sex-and region-specific manner: A CLARITY-BPA consortium follow-up …

SK Witchey, J Fuchs, HB Patisaul - Neurotoxicology, 2019 - Elsevier
Bisphenol A (BPA) is a well-characterized endocrine disrupting chemical (EDC) used in
plastics, epoxy resins and other products. Neurodevelopmental effects of BPA exposure are
a major concern with multiple rodent and human studies showing that early life BPA
exposure may impact the developing brain and sexually dimorphic behaviors. The CLARITY-
BPA (Consortium Linking Academic and Regulatory Insights on BPA Toxicity) program was
established to assess multiple endpoints, including neural, across a wide dose range …

Perinatal Bisphenol A (BPA) Exposure Alters Brain Oxytocin Receptor (OTR) Expression
     oxytocin receptor (OTR) disruption ...
the posterior bed nucleus of stria terminalis (BNSTp), ventromedial hypothalamus (VMH), and
the paraventricular hypothalamic nucleus (PVN). ...
OT is synthesized primarily by the paraventricular (PVN) and supraoptic nuclei (SON) and
released in multiple areas of the mesolimbic dopamine system and other brain nuclei that
play a role in food intake, social recognition, mate choice, anxiety, empathy, parental care
and other socioemotional behaviors (Caldwell, 2017; Carter et al., 2009; Johnson and
Young, 2015; King et al., 2016; Patisaul, 2017).
Many aspects of the OT signaling pathways are sexually dimorphic and can sex-specifically
influence sociosexual behaviors including anxiety (Caldwell, 2017; Johnson and Young,
2015; King et al., 2016; Scott et al., 2015; Smith et al., 2017). Exquisitely sensitive to
steroid hormones, responsivity of OT and OTR to estrogens and androgens can also be sex
    specific.
For example, in the adult rodent brain, OTR is upregulated by estradiol in the
female ventrolateral portion of the ventromedial nucleus (VMNvl), while
    testosterone can
    suppress OT release
(Coirini et al., 1992; Johnson, 1992)....
OTR binding in regions known to be susceptible to estrogen modulation during development,
As expected, in the control groups OTR binding was sexually dimorphic in the BNSTp (t(13)=5.41, p≤0.001), PVN (t(11)=2.86, p≤0.02), and VMH
    (t(17)=3.93, p≤0.001) with
males having higher OTR binding (Table 1).
     males having greater OTR
binding in BNSTp, VMH and PVN (Smith et al., 2017). These results confirm that we were
sufficiently powered to successfully detect known sex differences, and that these sex
differences are preserved across rat strains. Additionally, we identified sexually dimorphic
OTR binding in the juvenile BNSTld, an outcome which has not been previously reported.
In this region, females have greater OTR expression then males
this corroborates my previous blog posts on how females have much greater oxytocin expression than male mammals - for female bonding with babies!

BPA exposure included pre- and post-natal windows, including adolescence, when OTR expression and binding levels can be dramatically changing, it is not possible to discern when BPA exposure induced OTR binding disruption.

OTR binding in the central amygdala, for example, negatively
correlates with social interest in females, while OTR binding in the male MeA positively
correlates with social interest (Dumais et al., 2013). These and other studies emphasize that
different OTR binding densities across regions and sex coordinate different aspects of
socioemotional behaviors including anxiety, alloparental behavior and pair-bond formation
(Carter et al., 2009). OT signaling is also critical for the “GABA switch;” the postnatal
transition of neuronal GABA neurotransmission from excitatory to inhibitory (Tyzio et al.,
2006; Tyzio et al., 2014). There is some evidence that perinatal BPA may disrupt GABA
levels and signaling during this critical transition period but a role for OTR has not been
explored in this context (Franssen et al., 2016; Zalko et al., 2016). OT is also important for
heart development, as well as autonomic regulation of the circulatory system.
Overexpression of OTR in the PVN affects neurogenic control of circulation including
baroreceptor reflex sensitivity and blood pressure variability (Lozic et al., 2014)

Perinatal bisphenol A (BPA) exposure alters brain oxytocin receptor (OTR) expression in a sex- and region- specific manner: A CLARITY-BPA consortium follow-up study

https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0031938425001349 prenatal exposure to BPA can induce psychotic-like behaviors and impair certain schizophrenia-related GABAergic markers, including GAD67, NRG1, ERbB4, and parvalbumin (PV), in the prefrontal cortex (PFC) of adult offspring rats.

we set out not only to determine whether exposure altered OTR density within each region, but also if there were instances where exposure altered sex differences in density.

OTR expression was quantified by optical density using the digital densitometry

Densitometry is a method used to measure bone mineral content by analyzing the attenuation of x-ray beams passing through a specimen,

Male controls had significantly more OTR expression in the BNSTp, PVN and VMH. These sex differences were not statistically significant in the BNSTld, PVN or VMH in any of the exposed groups. No effect of exposure was found in females.

this study demonstrates that prenatal BPA exposure disrupts PPI and decreases PV-positive neurons in the PFC of adult female rats. In other words, early neurodevelopment can be sex-specifically impaired by BPA, which may consequently increase susceptibility to schizophrenia in adulthood.

Economics Prof. Steve Keen on the "obsession with equilibrium" problem of neoclassical economics

"they assumed you could change peoples' tastes" - to maintain their obsession with equilibrium since the 1960s - aka what's trending!!

Summary of Steve Keen's basic principles of non-equilibrium economics:

    Assets-Liability=Equity and Assets-Liability-Equity=Zero
Supply and Demand requires a third party, a Bank as the exchange between them.
Double Entry is looking at the feedbacks
NeoClassical economists have neither banks nor money in their models and thus don't have proper Double Entry accounting.
loans create deposits so the rate of change of loans equals the rate of change of deposits...
reserves, bonds and loans are three basic assets for banks.
deposits (liability) and equity on the other side of the equation.
reserves = government taxation minus spending minus bond sales that is the rate of change of reserves...
each row of the table equals zero by double entry book keeping as Assets-liability-equity=zero.
Bank Originated Money and Debt aka Bomd is the "real world"
neoclassical economists claim debt is an asset of the household, not the banks.
the debt is still a liability of the firms doing the borrowing from the banks (not the households).
so this understands the private sector....
Loanable funds can't explain "demand deposits."
the money multiplier model can't explain money creation unless all loans are in cash.
the government actually creates money when it runs a deficit...A deficit is not a bug of the system. A deficit is a feature of the system.
We want to stop things that reduce government money creation and that includes secondary bond sales by the banks to the non-banks, financial institutions, wealthy individuals...

The Skinny on Farm subsidies vs Cargill

Cargill is controlled by 14 billionaires so obviously the subsidy program works well for them. The control the price farmers receive. Cargill constructed illegal soybean elevators in the equatorial rainforest of Brazil so that Brazil could export soybeans to China! oops. Cargill dumped grain into Somalia via "Food for peace" as 1/6th or 15% of the local farm price - undermining the farmers that previously had controlled Mogadishu. That's the real purpose of U.S. farm commodities! Food as a Cold War tool to undermine local control of 100 countries worldwide.

farmers rely on subsidies and emergency relief - pretty sure they assumed they would get another special bailout like Drumpf did last time. Only this time it's much much worse with 30% of the export market gone and maybe 40% of farms going bankrupt. So the bailout will have to be Bigly.

Commodity farming is completely controlled by the world's largest private corporation: Cargill, owned by 14 billionaires relying on corporate tax welfare to "store and export" U.S. commodity crops. Cargill also built the illegal soybean elevators in Brazil's equatorial rainforest - yes a judge in Brazil ruled the soybean elevator was illegal - so that Cargill could export soybeans to China via Brazil. So the problem of farmers voting against their interest is the problem of commodity crops relying on synthetic inputs - fertilizers from nonrenewables - and genetic engineering patents for toxic herbicides - that destroy ecology via intense CO2 emissions and methane emissions and extending monocultural death camps as "farms." - killing the soil, creating phosphorus "dead zones" in the ocean, polluting the ground water with nitrites, etc.
"methemoglobinemia in infants, a potentially fatal condition where the blood can't carry oxygen. Sources of contamination include agricultural fertilizers, livestock manure, and septic tank waste, which can seep into groundwater."
Yeah we have a crisis in farming not just in the U.S. but in Brazil and Argentina and it's the Cargill-Bayer(Monsanto)-WTO(GATT) monoculture system of death farming. Creating toxic feed for toxic hogs and toxic chickens fed to the masses to increase toxic protein intake to build toxic muscle for "real men." hahaha. It's all gonna collapse fast since the Arctic Ice is almost gone due to deforestation in Brazil for growing soybeans so Cargill's billionaires can increase from 14 to 15, etc.

small farms (under 250 acres) account for the majority of soybean farms (67%) but produce a minority of the crop (under 18%). In 2022, the average harvested soybean acreage per farm was 312 acres
ECAP is $10 billion while SDRP is $20 billion! wow.
    Then there's crop insurance...$15 billion....
$44 dollars an acre for corn...no matter what the yield - just by average.
$29.76 per payment acre for soybeans.
So $9000 payment for 300 acres approximately. $2700 would be the "net income" for the farmer assuming the farmer keeps 30% of the payment.
So at $10 per bushel and 50 bushels per acre of soybeans that's $500 per acre! Costs per acre are hundreds of dollars ($600 per acre) while relief is $30 per acre...
Disaster relief could be another $100 an acre for corn... You have to have a certified crop and a qualifying event...
70% goes to the landlord and suppliers for seed/herbicide/fertilizer/equipment and the farmer keeps 30%. So that thirty percent is to cover the difference between cost being greater than price...
ECAP (Emergency Commodity Assistance Program) payments are considered farm income and are reported on Schedule F, which is used to report the net profit or loss from a farming activity to the IRS.
Congress directed $20 billion to assist farmers who suffered natural disasters in 2023 and 2024 and $10 billion to provide economic assistance to farmers because of expected economic losses incurred in growing 2024 commodities. USDA launched the Emergency Commodity Assistance Program (ECAP) on March 18, 2025, to administer the $10 billion in economic relief. While $8 billion in relief has already been paid out under this program, producers can sign up for ECAP through August 15, 2025.
On July 9, 2025, USDA launched the Supplemental Disaster Relief Program (SDRP) to provide $16 billion in assistance to producers for necessary expenses arising because of losses of revenue, quality or production of crops due to weather related events in 2023 and 2024

Why I deleted my Bluesky social media account: the highest technologies of all technologies is meditation.

social media is very much about "click baiting" using images. I really enjoyed creating "zingers" - the one or two liners that cut to the chase. But I kept getting propositional followers based on click bait images - with accounts centered around the "allure" of said images. I have no idea if such accounts were AI-generated or whatever since some of them had some content related to what I posted about - but I wasn't on social media as a "dating app." In fact many accounts emphasized they were not on Bluesky as a "dating app" - which seemed like a strange qualifier to have to point out.

Also it takes a lot of energy to "scroll through" all the images and memes and links, etc. while only commenting on maybe 10% of the content. I commented a lot and so I was gaining quite a few followers, more than I followed. But again I also blocked about half of those followers and weeding out followers that I was not sure were fake or were looking for some kind of something - I had no idea what was going on with the followers.

Social media is thus too engaging on a lower frequency intentional level of spirit. As I mentioned in my last video the truth of reality is really not about lower or higher but rather about the future guiding the past - nevertheless there has to a conversion of lower and higher into the future and past. This conversion process does go from lower to higher and then back down - via back and front and then it goes to the future from the past. Think of dreaming - normal dreaming - as the past being played out subconsciously while meditation takes that past energy that is normally subconscious and turns it into future potential force.

Yeah it's kind of tricky to explain - so you can get precognitive dreams and visions the more you meditate and thus meditation, contrary to being a waste of time and naive, is the most advanced technology on Earth today. Meditation ultimately is not a visual medium but based on logical inference of the future. As Ramana Maharshi pointed out - Westerners want to see the Self as a light but the Self is not a light.

So while I had fun on Bluesky - I could see its inherent limitations. There is too much noise in the intention of messaging. If I post messages do people then get attached to that energy? In real life I have encounters where my third eye tells me where the intention of a person is in their body.

Unfortunately most humans are what Gurdjieff calls a "number 2" person - this is not as bad as a "Number 1" person who, like our current "leader of the free world" is a psychic vampire. But a number 3 person is someone who has started to open their third eye from maybe some experiences and some practices and maybe their heart is open also. A number 4 person has a permanent "center of gravity" open in the third eye - this is what I achieved. A number 5 person has a permanent fully opened third eye - this is a qigong master and obviously very rare. A number 6 person has achieved "eternal liberation" of a permanently opened heart beyond death - this is a truly rare person and is what I think both qigong master Jim Nance and Chunyi Lin achieved. A number 7 person is working on immortality of their body while also doing long distance healing of others - because there is an integrated holographic dynamic of their physical body being made of light with the soul information blockages of people and matter around them (animism being all matter is made of light as spirit information-force). This is also what qigong master Chunyi Lin and qigong master Jim Nance do.

A number 8 person has achieved the "yang shen" fully stabilized as the "golden immortal body" that also enables them to dissolve their own physical body as true immortality of the universe. I believe that Taoist master Wang Liping has achieved this, but I'm not sure. Maybe he just achieved it momentarily. I asked qigong master Chunyi Lin if he had achieved the "yang shen" and he said people had seen him physically walked outside his house when he was meditating inside his house....in China.

The Superwood Doctrine: national Constraints as Tort Liability Negligence "policy implications" from my dad, William J. Hempel, case law

    AI summary:

Superwood rule established in *Superwood Corp. v. Siempelkamp Corp.* bars negligence and strict liability tort claims in Minnesota commercial transactions when the only damage is economic loss. In such cases, recovery is typically limited to contract-based remedies, such as breach of warranty. The rule primarily addresses situations where a product defect causes a financial loss (e.g., damage to the product itself or lost profits) but not personal injury or damage to other property

a product liability dispute...“[t]he Superwood rule to apply...the logic behind the Superwood rule....the principals of Superwood...Superwood does not bar negligence recovery... set the stage for an exception designed to preserve the availability of tort remedies based on negligence......

The plaintiff in Superwood purchased a hot plate press manufactured by defendant. Siempelkamp Corp., 311 N.W.2d 159 (Minn. 1981) (the theories of negligence and strict liability are available only where there is personal injury to the plaintiff or damage to property other than to the product itself).

The plaintiff in Superwood purchased a hot plate press manufactured by defendant. After a cylinder failed and the press could not be repaired, plaintiff sued in federal court in negligence, strict product liability, breach of warranty, and breach of contract--the same theories employed here. On the basis of limitation, the federal court dismissed the contract and warranty claims by summary judgment, as in the case at bar. It then certified the viability of the strict liability and negligence claims to the Supreme Court of Minnesota. In an opinion we consider dispositive of the case at bar, the Minnesota court held that these claims could not be maintained. "Although this is a case of first impression in Minnesota, this court has already demonstrated its approval of Seely in Farr v. Armstrong Rubber, 288 Minn. 83, 179 N.W.2d 64 (1970)." 311 N.W.2d at 161-62. The court pointed out that the Uniform Commercial Code clarifies the rights and remedies of parties to commercial transactions. To allow tort liability in such transactions would emasculate the limitation, notice, and disclaimer provisions of the UCC. "For these reasons we hold that economic losses that arise out of commercial transactions, except those involving personal injury or damage to other property, are not recoverable under the tort theories of negligence or strict products liability." Id. at 162.

In his dissent, Justice Yetka argued that the rule announced in Superwood should apply
only to plaintiff's action in strict liability, not its negligence claim,

The court recently held in Superwood Corp. v. Siempelkamp Corp. ,22 a case in which the federal district court had certified questions to the Minnesota Supreme Court, that in com-
mercial transactions neither negligence nor strict liability in tort is available to the plaintiff who seeks to recover only for economic loss. The court, believing that to allow recovery under these circumstances would "emasculate" the warranty provisions of the
Code, held that "economic losses that arise out of commercial transactions, except those involving personal injury or damage to other property, are not recoverable under the tort theories of negligence or strict products liability."

     Superwood Corp. v. Siempelkamp Corp., 311 N.W.2d 159, 162-
    63 (Minn. 1981) (Yetka, J., concurring in majority's conclusion that strict tort liability cannot be used by a commercial plaintiff to recover pure economic loss, but dissenting on the grounds that commercial plaintiffs should be able to assert negligence theories against a manufacturer to recover economic loss);

"[f]or these reasons, we hold that economic losses that arise out of commercial transactions, except those involving personal injury or damage to other property, are not recoverable under the tort theories of negligence or strict products liability."

    https://scholarship.law.marquette.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1091&context=mulr

The court ruled, however, that under Superwood Corp. v.
Siempelkamp Corp., 311 N.W.2d 159 (Minn. 1981), the economic loss doctrine applied only to commercial transactions; a "commercial transaction" under the Superwood rule is a
transaction governed by Article 2 of the U.C.C., Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 336 (1986). Id.

Property damage from defective products - what is recoverable by tort law?

Superwood came before the Minnesota Supreme Court pursuant to an order for certification of an unsettled question of state law issued by the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota.....If the Minnesota Supreme Court's decision in Superwood is based on the factual assumption that the press was unreasonably dangerous, then Minnesota follows the Texas theory, allowing recovery for damage to the product itself only if other
property is damaged or personal injury results.
    1 2 Such a result is
contrary to the decision in Seely, on which the Minnesota Supreme
Court relied. If the Minnesota Supreme Court did not assume
that the defect in the press was unreasonably dangerous, the opinion in Superwood stands for the proposition that economic loss is not recoverable in tort in Minnesota, leaving open the question of the recoverability of damages caused by an unreasonably dangerous
    defect.

    ......................

In Superwood Corp. v. Siempelkamp Corp.,12 the court held that economic losses arising from commercial transactions are not recoverable in tort, unless the losses involved personal injury or damage to "other property." Noneconomic losses, on the other
hand, could be recovered under both tort and contract theories. The Superwood court recognized that the rights and responsibilities of parties to commercial transactions are governed exclusively by the Uniform Commercial Code.14 In the years following Superwood, the courts struggled to determine what constitutes "other property" as described by Superwood.

    The Superwood Constraints precedence

The Superwood court left open one possibility for plaintiffs seeking recovery for "economic losses" arising out of commercial transactions. A broad definition of "other property" would permit recovery in many cases, and much of the litigation that followed Superwood focused on this exception.

    Death by Footnote

"would thwart the policy implications of Superwood. '

I remember my dad trying to explain "negligence" to me at a legal concept. He didn't go into great detail - he just mentioned it in a sentence as we drove around Lake of the Isles. I had no idea that "negligence" was the focus of a big lawsuit at the time for him. My mom informs me that my dad was the corporate lawyer for Superwood when they got married - so the below case happened around when I was 10 years old. Then as a gift to my dad they took him on a small airplane flying lesson - I know because I was in the backseat of the plane as my dad got to take hold of the steering wheel!! That was in Bemidji where Superwood was based because I also remember Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox.... (below from Facebook quotes):

Superwood, used wet process and elevator oven to produce hardboard and a unique multistep coating and printing line. Product can still be seen on local bathroom walls. Sold to Georgia Pacific who milked it till unprofitable.... Did you meet Lloyd Johnson? He was the owner, had five homes and was one of the biggest landowners in MN and FL, mostly forest. He sold an island in Lake Superior to the Nature Conservancy.

OK I guess Superwood was based in Duluth though?

Id. at 160-61. The RESTATEMENT gives the most famous strict products liability
rule: "One who sells any product in a defective condition unreasonably dangerous to the
use or consumer or to his property, is subject to liability for physical harm thereby caused
to the ultimate user or consumer, or to his property." RESTATEMENT (SECOND) OF
    TORTS § 402A(l) (1965).

An article on WILLIAM MITCHELL LAW REVIEW frontation, would the admission of the hearsay statements have been harmless error? These questions remain unanswered by State v. Hansen. Products Liability-REcoVERY OF ECONOMIC Loss IN COMMERCIAL TRANSACTIONS--Supewood Corp. v. Siempe/kamp Corp., 311 N.W.2d 159 (Minn. 1981).

So because of Minnesota "adopting" the above therefore my dad's lawsuit achieved a "partial summary" in their favor despite the ....

The federal court granted the defendant a partial summary, judgment dismissing the breach of warranty and contract claims. The statute of limitations had expired on those claims.

Yeah I remember my Dad taking me to Cloquet also - so maybe that was the airplane flying lesson trip and the Bemidji trip probably was a different camping trip....

If property damage had also occurred in Superwood, the plaintiff would have
been allowed to assert a negligence action for the recovery of commercial
losses. In Superwood, the Minnesota Supreme Court clearly aligned itself with
the Seely majority. In a commercial transaction, strict products liability
and negligence actions are no longer allowed unless property damage or
    personal injury occurs.

    https://www.taylorfrancis.com/chapters/edit/10.4324/9781843145745-37/insurance-regulation-john-darby

The plaintiff relied on Superwood Holdings in support of that argument.

So a 2004 academic book on insurance regulation cites my dad's case!!

Increasing attention to the theories of fraud and misrepresentation has followed the Superwood constraints upon the availability of negligence claims.

The Superwood decision did not extend the economic loss
doctrine to consumer transactions or to tort theories other than negligence and strict liability....

In Superwood the plaintiff was forced to seek recovery of economic damages under strict liability and negligence

     (D. Minn. 1982). The court suggested that Superwood's "import and precedential
value are a topic of debate."

In Gates Rubber Co. v. Irathane Systems, Inc., 710 F.2d 501 (8th Cir. 1983), the
United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, deciding Minnesota law, reversed
the trial court's dismissal of a claim for damage to other property,
    holding that Superwood
did not bar an action for damage to property other than the product itself.

    .....................

the court noted that damages are only recoverable in tort when they are not the type that would ordinarily be contemplated by the parties to the transaction.62

ther cases decided in the first decade after Superwood resulted in a serious limitation on the
availability of tort remedies for property damages arising from prod-
ucts purchased in commercial transactions. Courts rejected a pro-
posed exception to the general rule proscribing tort recovery for
"economic losses" for those damages arising from a "sudden and
calamitous event." 64 In addition, the term "other property" was
construed to include only those items not within the contemplation
of the parties to the sale transaction,65 and that "other property"
must be a significant portion of the damages sought in order to rely
    on the "other property" exception.66

     The court stated that
[Superwood] simply does not comport with excepting economic losses arising
out of personal injury or damage to other property when the setting in
which the sale occurred was a commercial transaction. Indeed, making tort
theories of recovery available in commercial transactions flies in the face of
the court's recognition of the intended purview of the U.C.C.

Negligence, Economic Loss, and the U.C.C. DAVID B. GAEBLER

The traditional distinction between tort and contract has been that tort
deals with obligations imposed by law for the general benefit of society
while contract deals with obligations voluntarily assumed by the parties.'

economic loss doctrine does not apply to service contracts
because they are not "commercial" transactions within the meaning of
Article 2 of the U.C.C. McCarthy Well Co. relied on Superwood Corp.
    v. Siempelkamp Corp.'75 to reach its holding.

Minnesota has adhered to the ELD for many years, although the doctrine
has been through a metamorphosis. Superwood Corp. v. Siempelkamp Corp., 311 N.W.2d 159; Hapka v. Paquin Farms, 458 N.W.2d 683 (Minn. 1990). In 1991 Minnesota codified the ELD in their statutes. Minn. Stat. § 604.10.
The statute, entitled Economic Loss Arising From The Sale Of Goods, prohibits recovery in tort for damage to the product only, but provides exceptions where there is damage to “other property” or fraud or fraudulent or intentional misrepresentation. The ELD codification was amended in 2000 and applies to sales or leases that occur on or after August 1, 2000. Minn. Stat. § 604.101. Under the new statute, the ELD applies to products both sold and leased and both consumer and commercial transactions.

Loowatt: very exciting new "container" ecological sanitation circular economy! New ISO NSSS standard also

latest vid from Loowatt operation in South Africa!

Humus, Humility, Humanity!   talk by Virginia Gardiner - inventor of the Loowatt

     https://loowatt.mg/

This is a new "flushless" biodegradable bag toilet being used in Madagascar and South Africa and goals of spreading it worldwide...

    https://www.loowatt.com/impact

Invented in the UK - this newly patented container "ecological sanitation" off-grid toilet is simply yet enables transformation of waste into biogas and fertilizer....while also saving water and infrastructure costs!! Wow. So cool.

Newly published "container sector" 2025 report gives overview on all the ecological sanitation projects!!

Sanergy in Africa is another big one as is SOIL in Haiti....

    Container Based Sanitation Alliance (CBSA)

Does it have any members in the U.S.? Dr. Kory Russel at University of Oregon! cool.

     Raluca Anisie (Mosan), Abigail Aruna
(Clean Team), Clarissa Brocklehurst (CBSA Board
    and independent consultant), Emma Colenbrander
(CBSA Board and Spring Impact), Virginia Gardiner

Ravaoarisoa (Dioloto), Dr Kory Russel (CBSA Board
and University of Oregon) and Lindsay Stradley
    (Fresh Life).

So SAnergy uses the above newly designed "Fresh Life" urine diverting dry toilet - very cool!!

It's not the same as the Loowatt design toilet though. Loowatt is even simpler since there is no "separation at source."

The biodegradable bag is released sealed into a lower container while a new bag is released ready to be filled....I heard those "biodegradable bags" are not really what they claim to be but maybe when mixed with the urine nitrogen and waste the bags really do compost down... I think they are relying on anaerobic digestion though...ok they "separate" the plastic bags from the waste when it gets processed. Wow!!

yeah looks like they are still researching how to make the bag separation and composting "cost effective" - probably better to just do urine diverting dry toilets with source separation...for easier composting....

    https://cbsa.global/benefits

using container based ecological sanitation saves so much money that I think the local septic businesses are probably against it or work with the county governments to repress this? I don't know but seems like ecological sanitation is the way to go even for "developed" countries.

A key barrier is being able to meet and comply
with the required ISO/SANS 30500 standards. Various technologies were tested over a period of time and each assessed against the required standards. From the technologies tested, only one technology was able to meet key ISO standards.

    fascinating - a NEW standard in 2025..

.a life cycle assessment for non-sewered sanitation systems (NSSS).

you have to buy it though....

This document was prepared by Project Committee ISO/PC 305, Sustainable non-sewered sanitation systems.
This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition (ISO 30500:2018), which has been technically revised.
The main changes are as follows:
    • Clause 2 normative references have been updated;
    • Clause 3 terms and definitions have been updated;
    • technical information throughout the document has been aligned with the state of art;
    • the bibliography has been updated.

Meanwhile ecological sanitation moves on!! Shit is gonna happen.

This is a cool DIY kit for UDDT! It's made in the UK though so with tariffs - probably $450...

In Massachusetts, Title 5 (310 CMR 15.000) permits the use of composting toilets for both remedial and new residential construction, but their installation requires approval from the local Board of Health, as well as the town. The system must be designed to store solids for at least two years, and any liquid by-products are either recycled by the system or must be discharged through an approved greywater system
