This is also found in a Tamil text that I've cited - when was that composed?

Tamil Tirumantiram excerpts

They traverse the spheres of sun and moon, pingala and ida, and see visions of past, present, and future. And in that full moon day the nectar, amrita, ripens. Until lowering into the external mind from kundalini heights, time stands still. 875
It is the light of Shiva that beams jnana….It is the light born of constant awareness of the pure sound Aum. 2686

 This is the same teaching.

The Tirumantiram or Thirumantiram is a Tamil poetic work written in 2nd century by Thirumular...

Yeah WAY older than these Hatha Yoga texts...

fascinating.

So "bindu" is male drops while "rajas" is female blood - and when they unite internally then Samadhi is achieved as kundalini. That corroborates precisely my claim of the pineal gland converting blood into cerebrospinal fluid.

So the sun is the blood and moon is the male drops. This is the alchemy since we normally think of the female as the moon and male as the sun. So therefore the sun as blood is hiding within the lower body. This is the "yin qi" that normally goes out the eyes as the fire of the heart but has to be reversed in meditation - as the blood of the lower body as an internal "yang shen" spiritual fire.

That is also the OM of the Light as internal listening.

And so just as in Taoist Yoga - it is taught that the mind is passion that has to be cut off and here it states the mind is the Bindu - that is moving. So the mind has to be stopped moving in order to achieve true celibacy!

So the Mantra practice is associated with Siddhis? And therefore considered "lowly"?

 Wow - very fascinating.
