So I watched - I made a playlist of people teaching how to fold this style of tent. It's made by or sold by at least several companies - with their "label" on it.
So this ONE lady figured out the simplest technique since you don't have to twist your hands all around. Wow the below vid even provides "twisting" graphics to explain the twisting of the grip.
Still the playlist shows a dozen other teaching videos on this tent.
It's a very cheap tent - $24 or up to $100 plus for a more fancy version that does NOT require the "pop up" folding magic.
Here is my full playlist on this style of pop up tent or pod
25 vids so far on how to fold this tent!!
So people RETURNED the tent because they could not fold it.
Others said they would NOT buy it unless the workers in the store showed how to fold it (and the workers could NOT fold it - so they walked out without buying it).
Others said this easy method SAVED their marriage!
Others said - a half hour or 45 minutes and still not able to fold it.
One person said you need a degree in physics.
something about the "twisting" or rotating AND folding.
It is a 720 degree spin design!!
Or maybe how a sea slug swims?
TIP Sometimes ours is hard to get to bend over evenly when you first pick it up and won't be able to fold it over itself. I've found sometimes the spines (which are just thin strips of flat bar) twist inside the fabric and aren't straight.
With the tent standing up run your fingers up and down all of the spines and feel that they should be not twisted and be sitting flat .
As long as all the spines are flat when the tent is folded in and lying down, it will bend over nicely when you pick it up and will look like mine in the video at 0:54. Then it almost does itself by folding your folding your left hand over, then your right hand over and dropping the whole lot down into the natural circle shape it wants to go into. Hope this helps you Cheers Gaz
