MST3K mod censors me for referring to child rape crime as being political yet 6 refs to Iran-Contra Affair by MST3K!

 Sorta like the Iran-Contra Affair.

Of course Josh started it since he refused to go along with the Corporate Sellout of MST3K. Josh was an independent Free-Improv comedian on the show and he kept it that way. That's why Josh was kept as an underpaid intern maxing out at $25 per show despite Josh being a co-creator of the show with Joel...

Gonna be a bigger problem than Billy Carter. –Mistakes were made, brothers were killed.
See note on Billy Carter, above. “Mistakes were made” is a commonly used dodge by politicians to acknowledge error without pinning blame on any specific person: the passive construction suggests that no one actually made the mistakes; they just materialized out of thin air. President Ronald Reagan famously used the phrase during the Iran-contra scandal in 1986, but the earliest use I was able to find was by Richard Nixon’s press secretary, Ron Ziegler, in 1973, apologizing for his attacks on Washington Post stories about the Watergate scandal.

For years, I liked the riff in Cave Dwellers “Lisa Foster? I’d shoot Donald Regan to prove my love for Lisa Foster!”

I THOUGHT it was just an off-version of Ronald Reagan to go with Lisa (instead of Jodie) Foster.

Recently while watching a video about the Iran-Contra Affair, I was shocked to realize Donald Regan was a real person! The writers didn’t just make up a funny name, that was Reagan’s Chief of Staff!

Snuck this past the censors!!
