David Reich's ancient DNA research group finally cracks the Proto-Indo-European origin: Caucasus Lower Volga people

But researchers encountered a hitch in the Yamnaya line in the Anatolian peninsula, where an extinct set of Indo-European languages was spoken during the Bronze Age. Linguists have long believed they represent an early split from Proto-Indo-European. The 21st-century advent of ancient DNA science surfaced similar results.
“We know from cuneiform tablets that people such as the Hittites spoke Anatolian, but these people didn’t have Yamnaya ancestry,” Reich noted. “We looked hard, with lots of data. We didn’t find anything. So we hypothesized some deeper population was the ultimate source in Indo-European languages.”
The Caucasus Lower Volga people is that original source, the authors said.
The work uncovers new links between those people and both the Yamnaya and the ancient Indo-Anatolian speakers who inhabited an area that is now part of Turkey.
The population lived on the Eurasian steppe within the borders of current-day Russia during the Copper Age about 6,500 years ago, data show.

The Hempel Effect

Visually, the frequency and amplitude changes but the EAR hears no difference - both phases are the Perfect Fifth just inverted as undivided yin-yang (the Taiji). I was discussing noncommutative phase with Nobel physicist Brian Josephson - and he said that I didn't understand how octaves were a geometric logarithm - so that C to G is 3/2 yet G to C is 3/4 as the harmonic series. So I tried to point out to him that since the 2 and 4 are the SAME C as "pitch" - then in the same octave, when doubled back, you can not HAVE the same G as Both the Perfect Fifth and Perfect Fourth. Why? Because 3/4 is the reverse direction in time - so that now the "3" is the denominator as a new root tonic. And so the harmonic series assumes this is a logarithmic equation as a ratio that can be inverted - but you can not evenly divide the octave and the Perfect Fifth since 2 does not go into 3 evenly. So this means that 3/4 is actually C to F while C to G is 3/2 and the C to F was derived from doubling 2/3. So this is called the "phantom tonic" in music theory and reveals the noncommutative phase origin of the music harmonics - as Alain Connes recognizes. Let us draw up a fundamental vibration with its first and second harmonic overtones [1:2 and 2:3]….if we then shift the phase relationship, we get a totally different course of the combined curve; that is, of the pressure course [amplitude and frequency] which is apparently effective in the final analysis. When looking at both curves, one might suppose that in the two cases we should hear two sounds that are just as different. But in fact our ear does not notice any difference. biophysicist Vitus B.
