So it focuses on his Minnesota Declaration of his philosophy of film making about "Ecstatic Truth." This is a kind of existential transcendence he claims to capture in film ( I realize "existential transcendence" is an oxymoronic phrase in Western philosophy).
Each year at springtime scores of people on snowmobiles crash through the melting ice on the lakes of Minnesota and drown.
No Herzog - this is not true but it fits with his insistence on including dramatized commentary in his "documentaries."

So rarely do a dozen people die by ice in Minnesota a year - usually it's just a few people.

his intonation sounds precisely like Nosferatu in his film. hilarious.
So I recently watched Nosferatu but then someone insisted that the English translation does not do justice to the film - or I mean the English DUBBING. And they offered a German comparison (translated into English).
Every scene was filmed twice - once in German, once in English. This is, of course, the English version and a weaker version, IMO. The German version is a much more enjoyable film because it's the actor's native language.

The question is - does the German version have more of an "ecstatic truth" experience than the English dubbing?
So Herzog has been proven correct - as I blogged recently - that indeed fish grew the genetic adaptation of legs in order to escape predators by crawling onto rocks - and eventually this became permanent.
But then Herzog states the Moon is Dull - so he is obviously cut off from the cycles of life as governed by the Moon's power over water on Earth.
Meaning Herzog is psychologically projecting a kind of patriarchal solar priest male fantasy - this was easily conveyed by Nazism of course but goes back to Platonic Christianity as well - and even the Buddhism he critiques. Acharya S. has her book "Suns of Gods" for details.
So Herzog is struggling to move past Postmodernism - similarly as Zizek does.
So the Echidna is featured in the review. Ironically the Echidna, as I have detailed previously, has a LARGER prefrontal cortex than humans, as per ratio of total brain size. The problem though is the Echidna lacks REM sleep so there is no way for the Echidna to integrate the intentional linear planning of a prefrontal cortex with the subconscious perceptions that are constantly ongoing via the dream "biophoton" holographic reality of being awake.
So the question remains for Herzog - what is the TRUTH of reality but the problem is that Herzog has spent his life "acquiring images" as he calls it - he must ACQUIRE IMAGES - he repeats over and over - that the world lacks appropriate images. But the truth can NEVER EVER be shown through an image. haha. So this idea of Time as the Image of Eternity is from Plato and based on the "deep pre-established disharmony" of Western philosophy from the wrong symmetric geometric magnitude math.

Don Hoffman only relies on quantum mechanics AFTER the probability of the amplitude squared - so Hoffman is a computer scientist not a real quantum physicist.
Kafatos is ignoring the fact that Schroedinger was based on de Broglie's critique of relativity and now Yakir Aharonov has experimentally proven the de Broglie-Bohm model using weak measurements from Heisenberg matrice math that is noncommutative. So the Psi value of Schroedinger is not based on the truth of a single particle but only the accumulation of many particles. Yakir Aharonov published in 2017 that in fact the double slit experiment has been proven to be based on a nonlocal field that is guiding the particle - so the electon "knows" if the OTHER slit is open or not - due to this nonlocal guiding field. The fact that is noncommutative just means we can not call it a wave as spin is not a wave nor is it a particle. As Professor Basil J. Hiley, the collaborator of Bohm, points out - this is a NEW CAUSATIVE force.
the problem with the Copenhagen Interpretation is that it is anthropocentric. Noncommutative math is totally different because it does not rely on a "contained infinity" as symmetric geometry. As Sir Roger Penrose emphasizes - time was highly ASYMMETRIC at the origin of the Universe yet also highly coherent. Penrose now also promotes noncommutative geometry or quantum algebra as the truth of reality (he just admits he's not good at the math). haha.
Western science is a CONSTRUCTION but living in ecological truth is NOT a construction. In the past 10,000 years as archaeologists document there was a "symbolic revolution" in human culture to promote the idea of "containing infinity" through rectilinear anthropocentric geometry. Our original human culture, the San Bushmen, lived sustainably in the truth of ecology. The "three gunas" of India is from our original human culture in contrast to the Vedic Brahmin Chariot INVASION of India that Kafatos promotes.
