Courting the Compatible Left: Douglas Valentine exposes the CIA working both sides of the political spectrum

Sherman Skolnick had the SAME expose of the CIA - "courting the compatible left."

"Social democratic parties aligned with U.S." and against the Soviet Union.

Yes this doesn't mean the Soviet union wasn't originally supported by Wall Street!! haha.

“Unregulated Capitalism is a Suicide Pact”: Noam Chomsky talks to Lowkey

 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9z-YbPgfgfw

Chomsky says the CIA tends to be "moderately liberal."

“By the end of 1949,” Leech said, “Israel had destroyed more than 400 Palestinian villages, massacred thousands of civilians and forcibly displaced almost a million Palestinians, who ended up in refugee camps in neighboring Arab countries. In other words, with the Jewish people having just endured the horrors of the Holocaust, the Zionists were now carrying out, according to Pappe, the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people.”

Left paterfamilias Noam Chomsky, who generally shows an appreciation for the subtleties of covert action, claimed that America is not supplying its Al Qaeda mercenary army with arms – even though Eric Schmidt at The New York Times reported over a year ago that CIA officers in Turkey were “helping allies decide which Syrian opposition fighters across the border will receive arm.”

As if Hayden fomenting war and Chomsky covering for the CIA isn’t irony enough, Drum cleared the CIA in response to allegations of a provocation made by Rush Limbaugh.   Which raises the question, what are the facts about the CIA’s penchant for “provoked responses” like the one in the Tonkin Gulf that started the Vietnam War?

To ensure his silence, General Yamashita was hanged by a military tribunal in February 1946, while his right hand man, Kojima, was tortured by a Filipino, Santa Romana, into revealing where the treasure vaults were buried in the Philippines. Romana then guided CIA officer Edward Lansdale to the loot. Lansdale did a quick inventory, and for the next 20 years supervised Romana, the unlikely front man for a number of slush funds. Thereafter the purloined gold was moved through 176 accounts in 42 banks in several countries, to people and organizations the CIA wanted to secretly support. The Americans viewed this money as a War prize, and every American president from Harry Truman to George W. Bush has used the slush funds for various purposes.

In 1976, Congresswoman Bella Abzug submitted questions to new Director of Central Intelligence George H.W. Bush, about the CIA’s central role in international drug trafficking. Bush’s response was to cite a 1954 agreement with the Justice Department gave the CIA the right to block prosecution or keep its crimes secret in the name of national security.

The CIA: 70 Years of Organized Crime

Anyone who has studied Noam Chomsky knows he quotes Adam Smith. He knows economics better than most economists. Economics was called the "dismal science" for a reason - it's a big scam as a discipline. Did you see "The Young Karl Marx" movie? It's on one of those free movie channels. It was released in 2018 and has subtitles. Engels told Marx to read the English economists and so Marx did. I've never read Marx directly - no need to.

I have read "Anti-Samuelson" - a Marxist critique of the Samuelson economics textbook. A third of my undergraduate degree was in economics. Professor Michael E. Hudson is the best economics professor - he started out in music theory. He promotes a Jubilee concept - that financial interest debts need to be erased since the real economy is based on ecology with nonlinear feedbacks that do not have any exponential growth (unlike financial interest).

Hudson points out that the Greeks stopped the Jubilee and the Greeks were the first to define money based on a 10-based number system from Platonic promotion of irrational magnitude math of exponential growth. Physics professor Albert Bartlett gave the SAME lecture over 1000 times in person - that people do not understand the exponential function - meaning economists in particular. Another great economics book is "The Great Transformation" by Karl Polyani.

A third excellent economics book is "Politics of the Solar Age." As Chomsky points out economics started out as being called Political Economy - it was grouped together for a reason. Hudson has a book called J is for Junk Economics or something like that - it's all about how the "discipline" of economics is based on Orwellian word lies. That documentary about the financial collapse of 2008 - narrated by Matt Damon?

What was that called. INSIDE JOB - anyone who watches that on youtube - it interviews all the economic professors and exposes the economic professors as scammers. I wrote a paper called the "Incorrect Supply and Demand Model" for my environmental economics class at University of Wisconsin-Madison. My instructor freaked out and handed my paper to his fellow graduate student instructors. The only comment on the content of the paper was, "I still think economists are smarter than you think they are." Yes a circular tautology is what defines economic logic.
