Max Davis writes that Van Natta's 5 page Trauma Operative Note, signed by attending surgeon Michael Schurr,M.D.(Dr.Schurr has been on call for the US President) says that over 18 feet of his small intestine were removed and sent to pathology. By his 4th operation, only 3.1 feet(95cm) of small intestines remained in Bruce Van Natta. Van Natta had weighed 180 pounds before the accident; but his weight would drop to 125 pounds in the following months. He was slowly dying because he did not have enough small intestine to properly absorb food. His family and church were still praying.
Bruce Carlson, from Walden, NY, felt God tell him to go to Wisconsin and pray for Van Natta. Carlson and a mutual friend named Brian, went to his hospital room. There Carlson laid hands on Bruce Van Natta and commanded his small intestines to grow in the name of Jesus Christ.(John 14:13,14) Suddenly Van Natta felt electricity come out of his hands and go into his own forehead and down to his stomach area. Van Natta felt his intestines wiggle and move around. He instantly told Carlson and Brian that he felt as though a snake had uncoiled in his stomach.
Bruce Van Natta immediately started gaining weight! His doctors were confused. They ordered an upper G.I. Track X-ray exam. The doctors couldn't believe what they were seeing. Senior radiologist Andrew Taylor confirmed in writing that Bruce Van Natta now had 9.84 feet(300 cm) of small intestines. Before and after X-rays, CT scans and Doppler scans proved that Van Natta's small intestines had tripled in length due to the prayers for him in Jesus's name. This is a fact.
Furthermore, Dr. Michael Schurr operated on Van Natta again after the upper G.I. Track X-rays showed that his small intestines had tripled. Dr. Schurr and the operative assistants saw the Christ-regrown small intestines with their own eyes. This is a fact.
The History Channel's atheistic "Miracles Decoded" series aimed to disprove miracles. Yet when they interviewed Dr.Michael Schurr and saw the clear evidence of the before and after medical imaging of Van Natta's intestines, even they had to admit on TV that there is no natural explanation for Bruce Van Natta's small intestine's huge regrowth.

Dave Schrader welcomed Bruce Van Natta, who after an accident, was on the verge of death when he had an "out of body" experience. During this near-death experience, he saw two angels that he believes were sent to save his life. Van Natta was working as a mechanic in 2006 when a semi-truck axle dropped on his midsection, crushing him, and causing blood to shoot out all over his body. He called out "Lord Jesus, help me." Several of his arteries were severed, and he was in the process of bleeding to death. As he left his body, and was looking down on the scene, he didn't even realize he was watching himself.
As his co-worker comforted him while emergency workers arrived, Van Natta suddenly saw two huge angels on their knees on either side of his co-worker. Though they didn't have wings, he estimated their heights to be around 8 ft. tall. They had long hair, and bright white shining robes that emanated light. Later, he was able to ascertain from witnesses that no one else saw these angels. As an EMT worker called upon him to open his eyes, he was suddenly pulled back into his body, and he realized he was the guy pinned under the truck that he'd been watching. Van Natta later learned that the EMT worker had been saying special prayers for him as she tried to awaken him.
Taken to the hospital, the damage to Van Natta's body was so severe that doctors have never found anyone else who has lived through the type of injuries he sustained. In fact, one of the doctors said "these are the CAT scans of a dead person." During his recovery, what was left of his small intestines were failing, and his wife reached out to prayer chains, and a man they didn't know flew out from New York and conducted a hands on healing. Miraculously after that, Van Natta's small intestine grew back to almost normal length-- something considered a medical impossibility. From what I've gathered the intestines growing back happened in between the forth and fifth surgery. So it couldn't have been 9 months.
Senior radiologist Andrew Taylor evidently confirmed in writing that Bruce Van Natta now had roughly 9.84 feet (300 cm) of small intestines where previously were only about 3.75 ft (116 cm). The atheist doctor Michael Schurr who had done the previous surgery evidently freaked out when he saw the extra intestine during the 5th surgery as he didn't believe what the MRI was showing until he saw it with his own eyes.
Some time after the forth surgery when he was prayed for BVN says he immediately felt them growing. So according to him it happened instantaneously. Up to you whether you believe him or not, but I'm guessing it was only a few months at most between the surgeries. However, whether or not it was instantaneous and the fact that it was not complete wouldn't change the fact that there is no natural explanation for intestines growing back after being removed even if it happened over an extended time period.
