well in terms of the Sword as the Phallus, the ancient literature is based on the Cosmic Mother (Apeiron). So that a self-castration from the Sword is actually a means of merging with the Cosmic Mother as natural regenerative energy through eternal time. Plato incorrectly stating "Time is the Image of Eternity" and so geometry does not provide us with Time - only listening in silence does, as Pythagoras taught. So the "instinctive/intuitive" response is that Socrates LIED because of what I call the "Liar of the Lyre." (the music math is from Philolaus literally flipping his Lyre around and thereby creating the Great Lie of Western physics as symmetric magnitude).

Socrates also followed this lie and politically it was advocated by Leo Strauss as the Great Lie (as well as by Hitler and now Drumpf). So yes the supposed "sacredness" of Plato just means talk is cheap and the Great Lie can be partitioned equally, logarithmically into what Plato called 9/8, the value of each citizen for the good of the state. Zizek uses the Sword to define the tautologies of Western logic as the origination of the "isms" of the Left (racism, etc.).

So Zizek says only the Sword will heal the wound that it causes (meaning only through technology of science will the West solve its problems). I disagree with this. The Nonwestern view is that only through INTERNAL meditation can our problems be solved since growth happens from within. So it's a different definition of time as from listening through logical inference - and that was the Pythagorean message of Socrates that got lost. Plato instead promoted an infinite argumentative process as to be considered wisdom.

To Know thy Self actually means the Sword is the Phallic Number One but the Pythagoreans taught that One is Not a Number! so the I-thought as the One is actually the speed of light that is turned around into noncommutative phase from music theory. The Pythagorean Tetrad or Tetraktys means that the 1:2:3:4 is the "three in one unity" as Ramana Maharshi called it (another Know Thyself spiritual master). so the "three gunas" of India is actually the same as Pythagorean philosophy and both originate from music theory - as does Daoism.

yes Ramana Maharshi said that deep dreamless sleep - the UNconsciousness - is the same as formless awareness, only the difference is we lack the awareness via the light. So the light is our spiritual ego as consciousness but the formless awareness as the Emptiness is the "Ether" or Yuan Qi that powers the light. The Yuan Shen means to turn the spiritual ego around - to turn the light around - to the speed of light as the "invariance" of consciousness. So the speed of light does not change as the "light of no light" (the yuan shen) while everything else is relative to the speed of light - including Zero and Infinity. So I was recently told there is no evidence that  CO2, being such an insignificant portion of the Earth's atmosphere, can drive global warming. It is difficult to believe the CO2 warming at the face of it. So how did the science develop? First it was just some experiments - to discover CO2 trapping the heat. And also some mathematical analysis to realize the Earth has an atmospheric blanket that traps heat - and CO2 then is the main means to trap the heat. This was based on spectroscopy - the "gaps" in the lines of prism light. So this science was way back in the 1800s - on the wavelength of light, as the absorption spectrum of heat, for CO2 - 1863, John Tyndall. The computer modeling is validated by satellite observations. It is based on warming as radiation due to quantum frequency. (youtube TED vid explains) So most people are trained in classical science - and so can not easily conceptual how the CO2 works as an "insulation blanket."

Now here comes the tricky part - it turns out that due to Earth's atmosphere - the CO2 quantum spectrum is logarithmic - so that as more CO2 is added above 300 ppm - there is an exponential increase in the heating ability of the CO2.

And so then people say yes but there's why more water on the atmosphere so obviously water is more important. He points out that the CO2 is higher up in the atmosphere so does not compete with the water but without the CO2 the atmosphere would not stay warm enough to hold the water. So yes water is about 2/3rds of the warming but without the CO2 the water would just rain down and the atmosphere would dramatically cool. The CO2, being a bigger molecule, holds the heat with greater stability. It takes longer for the CO2 to leave the atmosphere - 1000 years.

ideally you do not want to send out yin qi out of the eyes. People lose yin qi out of the eyes without realizing it. The replenishing of jing is to restore the Yuan Jing. So for example qigong master Wang Liping teaches that for a middle age man to restore his "yuan jing" would require six hours of full lotus meditation a day for 1 year - without missing a day and without losing qi. So that will then restore the jing to a normal 16 year old level. Once the lower tan tien fills with jing then the Yuan Qi is activated.

The Yuan Qi is through the heart - so the right side of the heart is considered the "secret pinhole" to the Yuan Qi of the universe. So the Yuan Qi is also a state of enlightenment and so it can not really be described in words. It is the 5th dimension - so it is both inside the body and outside the body at the same time - so that your body becomes holographic - interwoven with the internal energy as a reflection of external energy - via the speed of light as the Yuan Shen.

So you can say the path is the goal if your path is to listen to the source of your I-thoughts, such that the intentional mind of thinking is emptied out and then the light is turned around. This is described then as the light becoming so bright in the Emptiness as the Absolute Void that you lose sense of self-awareness, much the same as in deep dreamless sleep. So you true Self manifests when you are not aware of it - but in the bright blinding light of the absolute void - then you harmonize with the Yuan Qi energy.

So then the Yuan Qi energy will cause visions to manifest - precognitive visions - or enable long distance healing as astral travel. A good book on this is called "Transformative Dreaming" by psychologist Dr. Christina Donnell. She studied tai chi in international competitions and then she studied shamanic meditation in the Andes. So the oldest spiritual training is the Eland Bull dance of the San Bushmen culture - by the females at first menstruation. yes I used to think as you do about the Emptiness as a "stable and permanent place" but actually this is the error of Western thinking, to try to "contain" infinity through geometry. So in Brahman vedic philosophy this error is also made frequency about some "permanent" or "static" place or state of being. Rather the only thing permanent is the process of change itself. So the process of change as complementary opposites is permanent and stable but it's not a place, instead it is from time that can not be seen.

So the previous millennia that you refer to - actually we have been modern human beings in the biological sense for 70,000 years - so it's not just "recent" at all. This spiritual training is from before human language crystallized, as proven by the Eland Bull trance song, the oldest spiritual training ritual that we are all from. So that is the same song in two of the oldest human dialects of language - both from the San Bushmen.

If you study the book "Taoist Yoga: alchemy and immortality" then the details will be better clarified. When you get to chapter six - this is activation of the Yuan Shen and Yuan Qi as the "first half" of immortality - so it is an enlightenment experience. So then after that you need to store up the Yuan Qi energy and this also increases the Yuan Jing. So then with increasing yuan Qi - then the black hair comes back and bones revitalize and then as the Yuan Jing builds up you create a Yang Shen golden immortal body.
 
The Yuan Jing is actually new matter created from the Future - the Yuan Qi is from the future - from reverse time energy or what qigong master Yan Xin calls "virtual information field" and qigong master Zhang calls "the golden key" of "superluminal yin matter."
 
So if you study the book TAoist Yoga then you get into the specifics about yin and yang qi. So the yin and yang qi have to be purified via the heart and then stored up as Yuan Qi in the lower tan tien. But the Yuan Qi can get separated out back into yin and yang qi via impurities of the shen signals.
 
So the Yuan Qi is more like a 5th dimensional black hole that is stored in the body - as reverse time "phonon" energy - acoustic vibrations as anti-gravity. This is what enables levitation when long term meditation is done.

Hi Mike: Yes the Red Dragon is the fire going out of the eyes and so it is yin shen - as the Hun Soul. The Green Dragon is then taking the yin qi energy that powers the Hun Soul and turning it back down so that it creates a Yang Shen. So then it meets the water which is the Black Tiger. Then with the power of Quick Fire breathing - the Lead via Fire heats up and rises (due to the power of the Wood causing metal to rise). So the Black Tiger becomes the White Tiger - and the White Tiger and Green Dragon then go back down the front.  So the Silver is the Yuan Shen - and so imparts a blue light to the metal. The Mercury is the yin qi and the lead is the yang qi. So the mercury is in the cinnabar which is red - from the Red Dragon.

So then as the Blue of the Yuan Shen is turned around - this means absorbing Yuan Qi from the future and this converts the Red Dragon yin qi blockages in the Yang Shen then into more yuan Qi energy - thereby empowering the Yang Shen golden immortal body. The physical body then is pulverized as the Yang Shen merges back into the  Yuan Qi formless awareness energy of the Universe - the ether that can not be seen. So matter is made of light and light turned around is powered by relativistic mass and so the relativistic mass is the Yuan Qi as the Emptiness.

From all the Install info I've read the crimped end points down. This would make this part go from a 8" pipe to a 6" pipe making it a reducer. (crimped end down) I have not seen this on a wood stove install.

Cons: reverce crimped end.

Is it true that your supposed to install single wall stove pipe with the joints opposite of what is common in normal duct installation?

So in other words - we have three "opposites" going on - we have chimney pipe compared to "normal duct" pipe.... we have male to female and we have increasing to decreasing....

 With a proper chimney draft there's (slight) negative pressure in the pipe, so you're not worried about smoke "leaking out" up through the seams. You DO worry about creosote, and this makes sure that as it drips down the chimney, it stays inside the pipe. Creosote outside the stove pipe is very bad news.

Narrow end down.

 So that's the "secret" to Chimney pipes that I had not taken into consideration! We can say the same about the Universe as a whole - there's a slight negative pressure to the Universe as well.

Over the years there has been a reversal of which way is correct. Gas aplliances are still installed the direction you did and the old pot bellys and such were always installed with the joints same way. Then when the fabricated air tight stoves came to be and with them the liquid creosote problems stove outlets were changed so as the male end of the pipe went down so the liquids would leak all the way back into the stoves. When you think about it which way they are installed makes almost zero differance as to the leaking of gasses or smoke since the differantial pressure is what keeps the joint from leaking in the first place not any kind of sealing in the joints.

 Yeah I thought I was told the opposite way! oops.

Now let's have some REAL fun!! I just discovered the SAME product but it has the OPPOSITE description!!

 So I don't feel bad getting this screwed up! Even the stores are messing it up. It is indeed an "increaser" - the fireplace store has it correct. ACE has it wrong. Makes sense since the "fireplace" store is specialized and ACE is not.

By same part I mean literally the SAME part!!

So either BOTH Lowes and Ace used the wrong descriptions for their parts or the Chimney specialty stores are wrong. Obviously the Big Box general stores got it wrong. 

But just to double check - now we need to go to the "imperial" company directly to see how they describe their parts!

Oh so their "increaser" is solely for pipe to pipe connection! I got it. Not for the connecting to the stove directly.

OK hence the confusion.

 So the Fireplace specialists are using the OPPOSITE meaning since the typical use for this would be into the stove directly - instead of just connecting two pipes together!

Very interesting! Thanks. I bought a big bag of diatomaceous earth from the co-op. I use it to scrub my teeth and inevitably I swallow quite a bit. There is this "magic mud" toothpaste that is very pricey but the top ingredient is... diatomaceous earth! Funny. Anyway I used our cordless phone this am and the microwave death rays were very strong! Most people can not notice those microwaves but they really do cook people's brains as it resonates the quantum dipole frequency of water.

yes water - what I was doing is I used a Berkey water purifier set up in my room with 1.5 gallons. So our tap water here at our new place has bad sulfur taste. So I would then do qigong meditation to charge up the water and then my mom drank the purified Qi water. haha.

So yes Chunyi told the story of how he healed a lady by having her store the qi water in her frig - between healings she would drink that water. Then he would charge up more water over the phone. But her husband freaked out and insisted she NOT drink the water. So then she didn't live long after that.

So the US actually was formed as a constitutional corporate charter! This is never taught - and I only learned this recently. So we colonialists in the beginning had conferences in which we considered ourselves sovereign and then voted to create a corporate charter call the US government.

So this is why President Lincoln warned that during the civil war the worst danger was that the corporate charters were gaining in power. This was because the Union relied on standardized measurements for mass reproduction of weaponry - and this was the Union government great advantage over the slave states.

So we need to realize that science itself IS a religion - as per the Golden Ratio and Freemasonry. This is detailed very well in professor David F. Noble's book, "The Religion of Technology" from 1996 - and his final book was a follow up: "The Myth of Progress."

So the abrupt global warming crisis is really an existential crisis about what it means to be alive since abrupt global warming is based on how entropy is defined. Western classical science assumes that the infrared light emitting from earth is "entropy" from the Sun's energy coming down at a higher frequency. But in fact this infrared light and the Sun's light - are absorbed and used by life on Earth. But as the Daoists state, in fact Water is the most powerful element and so in the end Water will recover. yes the original human culture from which we are all from for 90% of our modern biological history (and yet hardly anyone knows anything about them) the San Bushmen culture - they deliberately have their healing music use gibberish words. So now most people think the words of music are just as important as the music itself. Actually it is the other way around - music developed first. This is called "musilanguage." And some scientists think that the natural harmonics are preferred in bird songs and other animals - mosquitoes use a Perfect Fifth music harmonic for their mating call, for example. And then some scientists even realize this music harmonic principle is the secret ordering of reality (like Alain Connes and Louis de Broglie, etc.)

So thinking is limited but it is what we use in relation to right hand tool use - and most people rely on right-handed tool use. A lot of people very skilled with tools are NOT very skilled are articulating how to teach the use of those tools! So they are a kind of visionary craftsmen. But it was female chimpanzees that first learned how to hunt with spears so that they were not dependent on male chimps raping the females. The male chimps demand sex when they bring home the meat. So actually our right-hand technology dominance with left brain dominance as thinking - this derives from the females attempts to prevent rape and war by the males.

So the problem is that modern civilization based on technology and left brain dominance still does not address the CAUSE of the problem which is the male psychophysiology of primates. The original human culture was completely centered on ALL the males training in spiritual trance dance (tai chi) as sublimation and purification of the N/om energy of the Universe, that is inherently female. So the universe is female as the Emptiness but there is also an eternal yin-yang dynamic to the Emptiness - so it is a paradox of how our mind as individual egos has to merge back into the Emptiness, just as it does each night when we have deep dreamless sleep.

So we can say that the whole physical universe of 4D spacetime is a temporary illusion while only the 5th dimension that we inherently can NOT see is the true reality. This is difficult for us primates to accept since we left the forest as our main living area and in the forest the dominant perception is listening. Just as life came from the oceans and fish rely on a "lateral" full body listening perception. And this perception for electric fish and sharks, etc. - it easily goes into electromagnetic energy just as an electric eel and shock down a standing man!! So the qigong training is precisely the same as our biological ancestry in the fish of the oceans. And it is proven that even fish can feel sadness, say if their own leaves to go on vacation and leaves the fish in the fish bowl, alone. haha.

So with the Cambrian Explosion of complex life on Earth - hundreds of millions of years ago - the key factor was the development of the Eye. But the eye relies on "quantum diffraction gradients" to see - this is much the same as the back of a compact disc where you see the rainbow light due to the small diffraction gradients. Only our Eye then based on the inherent complementary opposites of reality - then has the "chirality" or handness - the asymmetry of light. So that left-handed amino acids of light are based on taking in the light as a crystal. So in fact quantum biology has proven that each of us has a "rainbow worm" inside of us - a true GHOST of rainbow coherent biophoton light.

So then as each of us will die and this spirit light that is coherent will leave our bodies. The question remains - from where does this light originate? It is not dependent on the EArth but while the light is in our bodies certainly the earth provides power to the light. But as we know from quantum physics now the power of the Universe is from Frequency not classical amplitude. So by increasing the frequency of the light in our bodies then the energy is focused more in our third eye and heart - and this is based on the natural resonance of the Earth, Moon and Sun. So the more we meditate then the more we resonate with the natural cycles, just as now with the Equinox then the energy resonance on Earth is much stronger from the Sun and Moon.

So Abrupt Global Warming is really about how modern human civilization has tried to deny the fact that the Moon governs life on Earth. We desperately want to rely on the Sun as the Solar calendar become dominant for monocultural farming using the plow as patriarchy. So the menstruation synchronization that is unique to humans as primates  - the secret of our pineal gland N/om energy from trance dancing - this got lost and instead now we want to fixate on the Solar radiation energy. So this created an imbalance on Earth since the Moon needs to be "fed" spiritual energy from the dominant life on Earth - as Gurdjieff emphasized. In other words to properly use the Sun's energy we FIRST have to properly build up our lunar (jing) energy.

So yes it is not likely that human modern primates will return to a right brain dominant music-based reality relying on intuition from the basic fact that we are FROM Mother Nature and we are dependent on Mother Nature as the Cosmic Mother energy of the Universe. Instead we will keep trying to "control" nature - as even the abrupt global warming activists are calling for increased GeoEngineering "experiments" to try to save our ecology on Earth. So there really is NO OTHER option except for humans to accept the fact that we are not in control and we never were in control. But we can still RESONATE with our Source or choose to LISTEN to the source of the light that we experience every day - with our eyes open or when we are dreaming.

I just had a wonderful five minute conversation with the owner and founder of Fourdog stoves. I  kind of took a risk this morning as his website says he opens at 6 am with his phone number. I called and left a message at 6:10 am approximately! He called me back about an hour later to inform me that the reason I had not heard back sooner via email is because he was out of town. So first thing I did was ask if he had been goose or duck hunting? Nope a symposium in Texas!

Seems like a terrific product. I have been trying to contact this company for a little over 4 years now. Emailed directly, called, left messages. No reply. I want to purchase a stove pipe. I cannot seem to find the telescoping titanium stove pipe on their website to order. I have trepidation now: what if there is a problem after I order it? Who will help solve said problem/issue?

I was trying to be conversational but I didn't pry as to what "symposium" - and instead I asked if he got my visa charge? Yep. So he showed me the stove and when I lifted - or was about to - he said - here's the handles. The stove was in a plastic bag but sure enough the handles were easy to find and grab (nice big handles that are VERY sturdy). Right away that's a plus as a stove I bought previously had unattached handles that used small screws - and one of the screw holes did not hold - and so one of the handles is now not attached....

So then I mentioned again how I was confused by the website stating it is unavailable in small letters but then in big letters it says, "in stock ready to ship." I said someone online had wondered if you had stopped making stoves?! Don confirmed that he is now only making Titanium stoves so then he had his former worker make this Two Dog stove for me.

I don't know - when I look on the site just now it says the Titanium stove is unavailable also and Don is retirement age... maybe he just makes a few designs. Nope BOTH Titanium stoves say "not available."

It takes an air tight stove. Here's why;
Heat rising up the stack makes a low pressure area in the flue, (lowest at the stove collar) and inside the stove. Any air leak will allow atmospheric air pressure to leak into stove - raising the pressure, meaning no vacuum or void. The vacuum is what allows the higher air pressure outside the stove to rush into the primary intake. A stove with secondaries has a second intake that leads to the tubes above fire. When the primary intake is closed, oxygen is pushed into the only place it can get in. The secondary inlet, through the little holes in the intake tube where the smoke is. Any leak into stove allows atmospheric pressure to take the path of least resistance and not enter through the secondary inlet. This is why chimney height and diameter is so important as well. It has to create enough pressure differential for atmospheric pressure to be high enough outside the stove, compared to inside. You can see how any leak would balance the negative pressure you're trying to create with the chimney..

So maybe Don is retired but then he said - we'll you were able to order it!! So I did notice on his site that you have to choose the right "shipping" option to be able to order the stove - I thought maybe I squeezed around his website limitations on the Two Dog since I ordered it as a "local pickup"? I don't know. When I tried to just reiterate it was confusing but that I did not know about websites - he just seemed to agree that he did not know really what was on his website. haha

So I didn't want to "fester" on that point and as I was about to leave I threw out another conversational teaser. I think he mentioned first about how I could get duct pipe at Menards but that it's hard to find a 5 inch damper. I said I had ordered an enlarger to 6 inches but that I was going out a side wall so I was not sure.

 He said well then I need to do a 60 degree pipe until I get outside.

 So I asked for clarification. He said to put on the enlarger and then an elbow at 60 degrees with a pipe going outside. So I figure then I can put the damper on after the elbow.

This got me a very brisk response - and again I asked for clarification. He did indeed said what I thought he said - and precisely what I was thinking as well - that with a Rocket Stove you need to keep on feeding it. That was precisely one of my main reasons for NOT wanting a rocket stove. So I was glad to hear Don corroborate my main concern with the rocket stove. Also he added how they don't necessarily work correctly - which I think is well-known - how people have to tinker with the designs to get it to work properly.

 Generally, the way I go about it is to have the air open to get the fire going. As you start closing the air down, you will find the stove gets hotter. Surprisingly, the more you close the air down, the hotter things get. Then at some point, it levels off and you are 'in control' of the fire. At that point, you can reduce air further for the temperature you need. Though at some point, you go too low and it may start smoking.

So then I said how I got a bunch of free bricks off Craig's List so that I was gonna surround the Two Dog with bricks and that someone online had posted the Two Dog like that. Don said, "Anything can be a heat sink, like water." I said yeah so I can just heat up water on top. And he said yeah like the wood pile will also be a heat sink. I then mentioned how Mors had discussed how the "reflector" using wood was really NOT a reflector but a radiant source. Video of baffle being added to old wood stove  So he just does 4 weld spots in total compared to below - 10 weld spots in total!

The baffle makes a huge difference! I had a stove that has a shelving for a baffle that I had no idea what it was for. Just to try it out I cut a heavy tin sheet to size and my little stove threw out more heat, burned less wood.

The intense heat that normally would heat the rear outlet elbow now goes up the plate and burns the unburned smoke particles before they get to the outlet. This also directs the heat to the stove top instead of in the direction of the exhaust. (rearward) Huge reduction in smoke. (about 90% reduction as calculated in EPA testing with and without baffle)

 I had the steel baffle plate made per forum recommendations and propped it upright on firebricks sitting vertically on top of the lower course and got the 2 inch gap right at the rise. The stove burns long and hot and nearly smokeless, temps on stove top usually 400 - 600,

So Don then picked up on this - stating that yes the wood also is a wind block but that for example if you use aluminum that it will conduct the heat much better than steel - even if the steel is painted black.

So that was very intriguing to me - as I was thinking about the conductivity of aluminum. I said I had read about this a bit online. Oh and also I had mentioned to him about the Slanted Rumford and how a masonry worker in Connecticut had designed a damper so that the Slanted Rumford works like a masonry stove! So Don pointed out that Sweden and Hungary have excellent masonry stove designs and he described the design using his hands for visualization. I agreed and then he said how you want a small hot fire for a masonry stove. Again I agreed.

Another image of the baffle "shelf" at the top - that reflection is the BACK of the wood stove box. So the secret of the baffle is to redirect the smoke back into the fire for a secondary burn - increase heat and less particulates in the exhaust.

So oh that whole conversation was kicked off by me stating, "Now I know you like to sell to people who know how to start a fire but I can not guarantee that!" haha.

So Don ended the conversation with a comment for me to Take Care - and I left with the assurance that this is a very well-made stove. Four Dog video on the Shop Tour of machining the stove!  The baffle was first introduced into wood stoves in the 1980s and was considered a key improvement - featured in the "Kent" stove from New Zealand. So then that Kent stove first had the draft open but then closed off the damper completely so that all the smoke was rerouted through the baffle (that I guess had its own direct path, a "bypass valve" to the chimney duct).

So this baffle still allows direct draft up the back but since the draft of the oxygen enters from the front - this still pulls the smoke back towards the oxygen as a secondary burn.

 I will NOT install a damper - to make sure I don't get any creosote build up as my duct pipe will be at a low angle...

I installed my stove a couple of weeks ago in a 9x 22 foot cabin in the middle of a snow storm. It heats the place up in about 10 minutes, and can burn a couple of logs all night long, still cozy in the morning. I love it. I don't have a damper on it yet, but the adjustable air intake seems to do the trick for controlling the heat.
