Overall Counts: The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) estimated that roughly 1.6 million individuals spent time in an emergency or transitional shelter over the course of a year (October 2007 through September 2008). [1]

 An estimated 745,652 people experienced homelessness in the U.S. on a single night in 2025, compared to about 643,000 people in 2009...Homelessness increased 18 percent, from 653,104 people during the 2023 Point-in-Time (PIT) Count to 771,480 people during the 2024 PIT.

Why? Because the structural cause of the 2008 Great Financial Crisis was never removed! The Billionaires increased while the middle class decreased....
