Just speed-read Chunyi's new book. In 4th grade he slipped on
wet concrete, blacked out, and woke up several hours later with people
around him. He later remembered everything that people had done to help
him while seeing his body - seeing it all from above and he told his mom
who had been there, so she knew it was real that he saw this from
outside his body. He said after that experience he was no longer afraid
of death. This reminded me of Chunyi mentioning how he had healed
someone in his class when Chunyi was a student - so that near-death
experience must have opened his third eye for healing energy. Other
people have reported having spiritual healing ability after near-death
experiences.
What else? He describes seeing his grandmother
during meditation even though he had never seen her while alive so
didn't know what she looked like - but his dad confirmed who the lady
was, even though Chunyi never said he thought it was his grandmother...
And
then Chunyi did this healing on a boy next to Bowling Green state
university in Ohio - the boy would spontaneously act like a dog but
couldn't control it. Chunyi did a meditation healing and asked the mom
to come first next time. He asked the mom about her ancestors having
killed a lot of people and she said her great-grandfather had killed a
lot of people. Chunyi said they were seeking revenge and the mom needed
to donate to charity. The family was very wealthy but they needed to
donate form the heart and a lot more.... and then Chunyi did more
healing....
What else? He basically said it's ok for people to
be rich if they donate a lot to charity.... that was the impression of
the book...
He also said when he first started healing 20
years ago (so 2005) - it took him 15 minutes to heal a headache of
another person that now takes him 1.5 minutes. He said the secret is the
laser-light intensity from his heart. But then he also said 7 or 8
years ago he woke up very sick and he did small universe meditation
several times but he was still sick - and being older means it takes
longer for him to heal himself. He also said when he sits in full lotus
meditation too long then his legs are burning and numb but he goes
through that pain so he can heal other people more.
What else?
He said people eat too much because they are greedy and each hour is
valuable - so they should focus on using time wisely.. because otherwise
they get sick when they are old and other people have to take care of
them, etc...
and he knew someone who was advanced in buddhist
theory but could not get rid of his lust toward women... and that's how
he died. And another yoga teacher was considered a guru but cried to
Chunyi since the yoga teacher knew he was not the real deal...
Then at the end Chunyi says how he can teach the highest levels of enlightenment...
what
else? He says his dad was a chronic smoker until age 65 but then relied
on qigong to stop smoking. His dad lived till 85 I remember - doing 2
hours of full lotus meditation a day. So quite the turn around.
There's
more obviously - he gives more healing anecdotes and life stories and
then the book is focused on the Heart Sutra. He said the first draft of
the book was finished on Buddha's birthday, 10 years ago. So Chunyi goes
through the five skandhas - not sure he uses the Buddhist word skandha
but teaches them... and ties it into Daoism... talks about the Yuan Shen
... it's a really cool book. He mentions Daoist alchemists of the
Dragon Gate lineage (he doesn't say what lineage they are from
though)....
He also says that the amrita fluid that flows down
from the third eye is what creates that flower jasmine fragrance....
that sometimes other people can smell. Pretty wild.
