The Opposite of William Rees' talk is to embrace our Original Human Culture

-- listening to a couple William Rees' presentations, I cant help but imagine what the solution may look like? Is it new-age socialism with environment/nature and ecology as a fundamental basis on which the system must work? Or is is a completely different ism that no human lived under... well beside indigenous. However, indigenous way of living may have to be adjusted/scaled to encompass global civilazation. On other hand, maybe global human society needs to break into communal? Can 8 billion people feel as "community" whose goal is to always respect environment? So many interesting questions, would love to hear William Rees' take on such complexity.

I think that examples of the kind of alternative eco-friendly economic model (to replace our current model of industrial growth at all costs) would be based upon a frugal & constrained local resourcing & production like the slogans from Wartime of "dig for victory", "make do and mend" , "re-use & recycle" etc. It would promote local community crafts/agriculture/farming food production dependent more upon manual input rather than the mechanized/powered methods we take for granted today. Desperate situations generate a need to compromise to survive.

it's not even what you can imagine! That's the hilarious thing about it. I realized we were doomed - by 1996 - and that the problem was the origin of Western civilization itself. So I finished my Master's Degree by doing intensive nonwestern meditation via a Daoist spiritual yoga master healer. I KNOW that ghosts are real for example. Us modern Westernized humans are literally brainwashed - he's talking about our "unconscious influences." - these things WERE aware via the required spiritual training via our Original Human Culture - the San Bushmen culture. Check out Dr. Brad Keeney's website for example. We refuse to study our original human culture from 100,000 years ago - and that is still around today. It's just the OPPOSITE of William Rees' presentation. We need to fixate on our original human culture and it is actually a psychophysiological transformation.
